Chapter 64 - Chapter 63

At the inn, I bid Rowan goodnight and opened the door to my room, where the Weaver was waiting for me. 

She looks anxious. 

"Of course I am!" She said, throwing my pillow at me. "You vanished again." 

I let the pillow hit me, bent down, picked it up, and closed the door behind me.

Then, I walked over to the bed and sat down. 

"Assassination is a deadly line of work." I said, touching my head gently. Dried blood flaked from where I was knocked out cold. 

"Come here." The Weaver said and pulled me down so that my head was resting in her lap. She turned my head so that it was facing the door, and touched the wound. 

And a large spirit popped out and began to scold her. I caught just a few words the spirit was saying. 

It was telling the Weaver off for sending me on such a mission.

"Yes, yes, I know." The Weaver said, batting the spirit away from her. 

It vanished at her touch.
