The chieftain's hall was a sight to see. Some enterprising clan chief long ago decided that he needed to make a statement.
And he did.
The hall was set prominently on a hill overlooking the capital, ornate and complicated.
There were no spires, they would have looked uselessly small when compared to the colossal trees that surrounded the city.
Rather it was a collection of connected buildings that spread across the hill like a spider's web.
Anna and I walked through the large open gateway into the gardens that spread before the main building.
They weren't as pretty as the ones in Arantha, but they were enough to make me stop and stare for a few moments.
"The last time I was here was when I left with Master Fereth," I said, a strange emotion causing me to choke up a little bit. "I was just a boy. I had no idea what I was in for."
Anna didn't say anything. She watched the gardens with me.
Then tugged on my sleeve.
