Chapter 28: Spiral Workshop, here I come!

Aponia quickly left the Fire Moth base on a cargo plane.

Ai Yue watched the plane disappear into the sky, but he did not leave in a hurry. Instead, he walked to the other side of the apron.

There is also a cargo plane here, preparing to fly to another destination.

"Is this Mr. Ai Yue?" The staff at the boarding gate saw him coming and asked, "Dr. Mei told us that there is a Mr. Ai Yue who will take a plane to the 'Spiral Workshop' today."

"It's me." Ai Yue showed his ID. "When do we leave?"

"Any time." After checking the ID, the staff member made way for you and said, "But the owner of the Spiral Workshop has a strange temper, so I hope you'll be prepared."

The Spiral Workshop is located on a small island two hours' flight from the Fire Moth Base. It is said that due to frequent explosions and other accidents, it has to be located in a remote area far away from the city. However, Ai Yue knows that Vill-V will deliberately create explosions in order to defraud funds, so he has reason to suspect that the other party had planned everything when choosing the site.

From the outside, the Spiral Workshop looks like a building with a DNA double helix structure, but its height is less than ten meters. Therefore, Ai Yue guessed that its main part should be hidden underground, and the part above is probably just for concealment.

There is a helipad behind the Spiral Workshop, which is obviously specially used for parking cargo planes. The cargo plane slowly landed, and then the hatch at the belly opened, and the neatly packed cargo was placed on the ground while the machinery was running.

Ai Yue opened the hatch and jumped to the ground first. Then he saw the metal platform carrying the cargo slowly descending. It was obvious that it had been signed for by Vill-V.

"The goods have been delivered. We still have to wait for Minister Vill-V to deliver the order she has completed." The staff member said to Ai Yue, "We will leave in about two hours. If you can make it back, Mr. Ai Yue, you can go back with us. It doesn't matter if you can't make it. Spiral Workshop has other means of transportation, which will not affect your trip."

"Okay, I get it." Ai Yue nodded, then looked around, "But the problem is, how do I get in? This place doesn't look like it has a front entrance."

"That... we don't know either." The staff member smiled awkwardly. "As you can see, we have been waiting outside. Maybe Minister Vill-V will come out to pick you up in a while?"

Before Ai Yue could reply, a strange voice suddenly came to his ear: "Ahem, sound check, sound check - hello, can you hear me?"

Ai Yue turned his head and saw a loudspeaker rising from the ground not far away.

All these bars and boxes on the ground of this airport...can't every one of them be able to move independently?

Ai Yue suddenly began to understand why Dr. Mei wanted to cut Vill-V's funding.

The cost of building this airport alone is several times more than the laboratory that Yu Ai Yue is currently using, not to mention that it is just an auxiliary component and does not include the Spiral Workshop itself.

"Dr. Mei told me that a guest was coming today, and I almost forgot." Vill-V continued to speak, "Um, your name is Ai Yue, right? Come closer and stand in front of this speaker."

Ai Yue suddenly had a bad feeling, but he still walked over.

"Okay." There was a camera on the speaker, and it looked like the other party was using it to observe the situation at the airport. "Then you better hurry up."

Ai Yue cooperated by reaching out to grab the pole on which the speaker was resting, then he sighed.

'I knew this place was not normal.'

The next second, the feeling of weightlessness came from under his feet. The ground under Ai Yue's feet quickly sank and moved in the darkness at a speed that was obviously not within the safe range.

Fortunately, this process did not last long. After about ten seconds, the ground under Ai Yue's feet began to slow down and finally stopped.

The next second, the surrounding lights suddenly turned on, illuminating the interior environment. A woman wearing a top hat, who looked more like a circus performer than a scholar, appeared in front of him: "Ding ding ding ding! How do you feel about this way of entering?"

"It's normal." Ai Yue said stubbornly while adapting to the discomfort caused by the rapid fall and movement, "The intention is too obvious. I can only say that there is no surprise."

"Oh, it seems like a picky guest has come." Vill-V didn't care and still kept smiling. "Anyway, welcome to the Spiral Workshop - well, let me think, which guest are you here?"

"That's not important," Ai Yue waved his hand. "I know you let me in because of Dr. Mei's face. In fact, you still have doubts about my ability, right? Can you fast forward to the test stage? The plane up there can only wait for me for two hours."

"Oh, you're so impatient. Are you busier than me?" Vill-V blinked, a little surprised by Ai Yue's impatient reaction. "But you're right. Since you've discovered me, come with me."

Seeing that Vill-V stopped performing and turned to walk towards the door on the other side of the room, Ai Yue also breathed a sigh of relief.

He was so impatient not because he really wanted to go back early, but because Ai Yue knew very well that Vill-V's current performance was just a manifestation of alienation. The other party was observing and evaluating him in this way. If he blindly followed Vill-V's topic, he would probably not be able to get to the point for a long time.

In other words, before proving one's ability, all conversations are meaningless. Only after Vill-V truly realizes Ai Yue's ability does the conversation between the two have social value.

Ai Yue himself was not a pragmatist who pursued efficiency, but Vill-V loved performing so much that he had to pay more attention.

Following Vill-V's lead, the two soon came to another room. This was obviously Vill-V's workshop, because the walls around it were all made of transparent glass, through which they could see various large-scale mechanical equipment that were still in operation.

Moreover, except for a few common ones, such as forging furnaces and CNC machine tools, Ai Yue had never seen most of the other equipment.

"How is it? Not bad, right?" Vill-V introduced from the side, "Most of the equipment here was designed and built by me personally."

"Very good." Ai Yue nodded, showing appropriate praise. "Dr. Mei said that you are the best engineer and mechanic, and it seems to be true."

"Then I'll lend it to you." Vill-V said with a smile, "The computer over there can access all the materials in the workshop. You can use whatever you want. You're welcome."

"The only condition is - make an interesting prop that I've never seen before."
