Chapter 11 - Seeing a Doctor

Bai Ningning tilted her head and asked, "So in a few days, can I lie in bed and play on my phone?"

"Can you still play on your phone then?!"

Qin Yue laughed, "As long as you can handle it, playing on your phone while lying down is no problem."

Bai Ningning also laughed. It's just staying up late; it's not like she can't handle it. She used to stay up all night watching various competitions without a break.

"Hehe, that's good."

After another night of cuddling and falling asleep together, they both woke up around the same time the next day.

Bai Ningning opened her eyes and found Qin Yue's beautiful face right in front of her. Curiously, she blinked and asked, "Aren't you going to work today?"

"No, I have other things to do today," Qin Yue replied. "You don't have class today, right?"

"No, I don't. Why?"

"That's good. Go organize my schedule," Qin Yue instructed.

Bai Ningning slowly got out of bed, put on her soft pajamas, and walked to the room next door, where Qin Yue's work computer was located.

Sure, Bai Secretary is online now.

She opened the computer, logged into her QQ, and framed the QQ numbers of the four junior sisters she added yesterday, creating a new group chat.

[Princess Dress]: Bai Senior?

[Denim Shorts]: Senior, what's up?

[Double Ponytails]: Senior, is something wrong?

Since she couldn't quite remember their names, Bai Ningning gave them the above nicknames based on the most memorable words. As for the only one whose name she remembered, Qin Xin, she didn't speak in the group but was probably online.

Bai Ningning didn't reply; she just sent a group announcement—

[Ningning Doesn't Know]: If there's anything you need in the future, you can say it directly here, or you can @ me in the group to find me. I have some personal matters today and won't be going to school. If you need to talk to me, we can chat tomorrow.

After sending the announcement, she closed QQ and opened her work software.

She would deal with the junior sisters tomorrow; today, she was Bai Secretary.

She flipped through the logs, starting from today's schedule.

August 16: Home appointment with the psychologist.

August 17: Wrap-up meeting.

August 18: Celebration banquet and awards ceremony...

"Qin Yue," Bai Ningning called out to her older sister, "Are you seeing the psychologist today?"

"Yeah," Qin Yue replied lightly.

All thanks to you.

However, Bai Ningning's mind was starting to work.

The schedule included specific details about the matters, such as an introduction to the psychologist. The person's name was Dr. Chen, who was very capable, had various certificates and experience, and was also a friend of Qin Yue.

Could she take this opportunity to address her own issues too?

"Qin Yue," she asked, "After your consultation, can I ask a few questions too?"

Qin Yue sat up in bed: "What, do you have psychological issues too?"

"A little."

After thinking for a moment, the older sister pursed her lips: "Okay, fine."

In the afternoon, Dr. Chen arrived. She was dressed casually and didn't bring much with her. After greeting them, she naturally sat down in the living room and began the routine consultation.

"Have you been feeling better lately?"

"Much better since that day; I haven't felt worse."

"Then, have there been any changes in your mindset?"

"No, it's still the same mindset I told you about that day; I think it's fine as it is."

"…Have you considered going out? She is still a shadow over you."

"Not considering it," Qin Yue replied without hesitation, "I'm currently enjoying this shadow."

Dr. Chen sighed: "Alright, since you've made your decision, let's observe for now. If any new issues arise, remember to tell me right away."

"Okay."

Once the routine diagnosis was over, Qin Yue proactively asked, "Do you have time afterward?"

"I have time, what's up?" Dr. Chen said, "I specifically closed the clinic today to see you."

"Then good, she says she has some psychological issues and wants you to take a look," Qin Yue said.

Dr. Chen was slightly taken aback: "She?"

"Bai Ningning."

Bai Ningning, the girl who caused psychological shadows for her friend?

Dr. Chen thought for a moment and asked her a question: "Is this a formal medical request, or...?"

"A private, informal request," Qin Yue answered, "A request between friends."

If it were a formal medical request, it would require prior appointment and preparation, creating a treatment plan, and maintaining confidentiality about the patient's situation.

But if it's a private request between friends, there are fewer formalities.

"Alright," Dr. Chen nodded, "I'll go take a look."

In the bedroom, Dr. Chen finally met the girl who had taken her friend's soul.

With a pretty and cute little face, fair and clean, she looked youthful, but her figure was surprisingly well-endowed. A heavy chest, a slim waist, and a pair of eye-catching long legs.

It made sense that her friend was so infatuated.

On Bai Ningning's side, she was feeling quite nervous.

Having lived for over twenty years, it was her first time seeing a psychologist, and for a moment, she didn't know how to speak.

Um, anyway, first show some politeness and respect, then take the initiative to bring up her own issues.

"Miss Bai Ningning, hello, I am..."

"I know who you are, Dr. Chen," Bai Ningning interrupted her with a cold expression, "Please sit down."

Dr. Chen was taken aback for a moment.

Wait, is she this assertive?

She doesn't seem like a poor girl who has been reduced to a meowing state.

A few days ago, Qin Yue proudly boasted to her that she had managed to get the former little green tea to behave obediently, even forcing her to meow. But looking at the girl now, her good friend must not be exaggerating.

Dr. Chen sat down and decided to follow the procedure: "I am a good friend of Qin Yue's, and I heard that you..."

"Yes, I have a small problem. I know what the problem is; I just need some advice from you."

Bai Ningning thought that the doctor's time was precious, so there was no need to drag things out. She should just say what she needed to say and show a good attitude of cooperation.

Dr. Chen was silent for a long time before asking, "What problem?"

"I always fail to express my true thoughts when I speak," Bai Ningning said calmly. "Is there a way to correct this or at least improve it a little?"

"Is your verbal expression different from your actual thoughts?" Dr. Chen asked tentatively.

"Yes, for example, right now," Bai Ningning said with a cold, indifferent expression, "I feel very nervous when I see the doctor."

Dr. Chen thought to herself, you're nervous? You seem so confident, as if you're the one treating me.

After thinking carefully, she offered her first suggestion: "A smile is the most natural adhesive between people. Try to smile a little when you're not speaking."

Bai Ningning tugged at the corner of her mouth: "Heh, like this?"

"…Maybe you should just not smile."
