Inside Lynn's dormitory in the Potion Garden, everything had returned to tranquility.
The lingering fragrance of potions and traces of mental fluctuations gradually dissipated, marking the conclusion of his training.
After three days of secluded cultivation, Lynn had successfully stabilized his rank as a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice.
At this moment, his mental power had reached 25 points the baseline for a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice.
With such an immense amount of mental power, even a zero-ring spell like Daze, which had no enhancements, could likely deal a fatal mental shock to an ordinary person.
However, Lynn's current limit was five points of mental power, restricting him to spells that only required that amount. In practical terms, this meant he could cast five Ice Arrows at most.
Even so, this was a significant improvement for him.
Previously, he had only been able to cast two Ice Arrows at best.
More importantly, he had now seen the light at the end of the tunnel.
The hurdle of becoming a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice was now behind him.
Next, he needed to become a full-fledged wizard. Once he achieved that, he would break free from the restrictions of his Life Seed, reap the fruits it bore, and gain a second permanent spell imprint, stepping into an even greater realm of wizardry.
"Becoming a full-fledged wizard... It's time to start preparing," Lynn muttered to himself, his gaze firm.
As a certain senior wizard once said:
"An apprentice who does not aspire to become a full-fledged wizard is not a good apprentice."
Attaining the rank of a full-fledged wizard was every apprentice's ultimate goal, but the path to that rank was destined to be treacherous.
For Lynn, reaching the Third-Level Wizard Apprentice rank was just the beginning. Now, he needed to prepare himself thoroughly to break through the final barrier.
"First, I need to improve my potion-making skills and finish those three unfinished potions," he thought to himself, his eyes filled with determination.
Other wizard apprentices, if they possessed unfinished potions, might choose to sell them or spend a fortune to have someone else complete them.
But Lynn was different. He had his talent and believed in his ability to refine his potion-making skills, restore those three potions, and even transform them into his power.
Initially, Lynn had thought that Grand Wizard Helen would summon him, given that he had personally taken part in the battle in the Verdant Island Forest and had a deep understanding of the events that had transpired.
Yet, strangely enough, Grand Wizard Helen seemed to have completely forgotten about him and never sought him out.
Though puzzled, Lynn was more than happy to be left alone.
He didn't care about the situation in the Verdant Island Forest.
The Black Dragon Witch had disappeared, and the Furnace Army had been defeated, but what did that have to do with him? The furnace wasn't his home.
Yes, he had participated in the battle, but that was simply a conflict between wizards he was just an apprentice caught in the middle.
If the sky were to fall, there were taller wizards to hold it up.
The Verdant Island Forest affair should be handled by Grand Wizard Helen and the other Third-Level Wizards. Lynn had no reason to involve himself.
With his contractual obligations now lifted, he had no intention of getting involved in Furnace's war any further.
If he cared about anything at all, it was the safety of Sonya and Colin.
The two of them had a good relationship with him, and he sincerely hoped they were safe.
But even so, his concern was limited to silent prayers.
Going to the battlefield to rescue them personally? That was obviously out of the question.
Shaking off these thoughts, Lynn refocused on his training.
If he wanted to improve his potion-making skills, he knew talent alone wouldn't be enough mere theoretical knowledge would not make him a skilled potion maker.
Potion-making required not only a solid foundation in theory but also precise techniques and hands-on experience.
In the end, book knowledge alone wouldn't make him a true potion master.
Fortunately, as a Potion Garden member, Lynn knew that if he could pass the assessment and gain access to the garden's core area, he would have the opportunity to learn more advanced potion-making techniques.
Thus, Lynn knew it was time to get back to work.
"Furnace should be grateful to have such a proactive and dedicated employee like me," he chuckled to himself before setting out to find Remi, hoping to get an update on the Potion Garden's situation.
The Potion Garden was as vast and silent as ever, as if devoid of life.
Lynn navigated his way through the outer greenhouse, the area where apprentices cultivated extraordinary plants.
Every so often, apprentices were rotated to different greenhouses for new cultivation tasks.
He approached one of the stewards responsible for apprentice affairs to inquire about Remi's whereabouts.
But the answer caught him off guard.
Remi had already left the greenhouse and had entered the Potion Garden's core area.
This revelation stunned Lynn.
Remi was only a First-Level Wizard Apprentice how did he manage to enter the core area?
"How did he get in? Last I checked, he was only a First-Level Wizard Apprentice," Lynn asked, unable to hide his surprise.
The steward furrowed his brows, looking just as puzzled.
"I don't know either... but apparently, he passed the assessment."
He hesitated for a moment before adding,
"Lynn, now that you're back, we're short on staff for potion maintenance. We could use your help"
Lynn smiled slightly.
"Grand Wizard Helen might need me, so I'm afraid I'll have to delay my return for now..."
He casually threw out Grand Wizard Helen's name.
Although he did intend to return, he certainly wouldn't resume basic maintenance work.
If Remi could gain access to the core area, then why couldn't he?
Hearing Lynn's response, the steward fell silent.
He had no idea who Grand Wizard Helen was, but judging from Lynn's tone, she was likely a full-fledged wizard.
The steward certainly wasn't going to risk offending a full-fledged wizard, so he could only watch as Lynn left.
The Potion Garden was enormous. Its outer areas consisted of sprawling greenhouses, while the inner sections housed towering buildings.
Connecting these two areas was a scenic garden pathway, lined with all sorts of exotic flowers.
Rather than rushing into the core area, Lynn chose to wait in this transition zone.
After all, he couldn't enter the core area directly.
But if he could catch Remi on his way out, he might get an opportunity to gather some information.
He deliberately arrived during the lunch break, waiting patiently for Remi to appear.
As time passed, Lynn saw several figures in wizard robes emerging from the core area and heading toward the outer garden.
Standing there, Lynn stood out quite a bit.
However, he had no intention of playing weak he released his aura as a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice.
Even if others were curious, they wouldn't dare provoke a stranger of his level.
And so, no one disturbed him as he waited.
