Sun to moon, time flowed like a silent stream, unbothered by the scars it left behind. One month passed in the blink of an eye.
Yet, that fleeting month had done little to erase the traces of the dreadful battle carved deep into the heart of the forest. Flames still licked the edges of charred trees, smoke curled like ghostly serpents into the skies, and in many places, dried blood marked the ground in dark, ominous patches.
A pungent mix of scorched carbon and rotting flesh lingered in the air, clinging to every leaf, every branch, every breath. The Emerald Green Forest resembled a land that had suffered a natural disaster… and survived.
And yet, amidst the lingering ruin, the shift in atmosphere was undeniable.
Birds soared through the sky, wings spread wide as they sang without fear. From beneath burrows and nests, creatures both timid and bold emerged. Even the youngest children among them, wide-eyed and curious, wandered freely once more.
