Hi everyone, it's been a while since I last posted a chapter :).
Unfortunately, this isn't the chapter you've been waiting for over the past month (pretty arrogant of me to say that when my fanfic only has 3 chapters lol).
Just to reassure you, I haven't dropped the fanfic, far from it. As I mentioned in the first chapter, I don't want to come across as a hypocrite or a liar after all.
However, and I'll be honest with you, the reason I haven't posted a chapter in a while is that… I have no inspiration!
So yes, after all this time, I have an idea of where the story could go. But the biggest problem is that inspiration doesn't come out of nowhere, and I don't have many ideas on how I could build this story.
To be honest, it feels complicated to me. And the main factor holding me back is the protagonist's system.
I'll admit that when I started this story, it was on a whim at 3 AM, and I decided to write it without thinking too much about it.
I just wanted to create a Tower of God story where Baam knows what he's doing and takes down his enemies without hesitation—a fanfiction purely for entertainment.
And that's where the system comes in!
What's better than having a cool AI assistant that helps you grow stronger and become overpowered? It looks a bit like a certain aura farmer, right?
However, I haven't read enough manhwa or novels to have a concrete idea of how I could develop this system in the story: the missions given to the protagonist, rewards, skills, stats, etc.
Anyway, there's a lot to figure out to make the system fit well into Tower of God. Personally, I regretted adding it at first. But after reading some novels, I thought keeping the system might not be such a bad idea.
Still, it feels bland. My creativity for designing the system seems limited. I wonder how authors like the one who created the fanfic on TOG and LOTM manage to find so much inspiration and release chapters every 1 or 2 days. That guy must have read way more books than me (but big respect to him; he created an amazing story combining two major works that I love—even though I haven't read more than 100 chapters on LOTM).
And this is where you come in, dear readers!
In the comments of this chapter, I'd love it if you could share some ideas for the system. It would really help me out!
Anyway, if I manage to figure out how to continue the story without too much trouble, I'll post either this week or next.
That's all I wanted to say. Wishing you all a great day—see you next time ;)
