Camila's POV
The name stared back at me from the screen, my fingers tightening around the phone.
Nathaniel.
The one person who had been by my side after everything.
But loyalty was a fickle thing, wasn't it?
What if he had been pretending all along?
What if he had been the one to push me?
I swallowed hard, my pulse pounding in my ears as I scrolled through my messages. There were no signs, no warnings. Nothing that screamed betrayal. But that didn't mean it wasn't there.
If Nathaniel had done this, it wasn't just to hurt me. It was to keep me from Aiden.
To keep me from his child.
My fingers hovered over the call button, but I hesitated. If he was guilty, he wouldn't confess just because I asked. I needed proof. I needed leverage.
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to think clearly. If Nathaniel was involved, he wouldn't have done it alone. Someone had helped him. Someone had fed Aiden the lie about my cheating.
And I had a feeling I knew exactly where to start.
