Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Weekend

####**Val's P.O.V**

(Music playing...)

"Turn off the music, let's celebrate…

I got a feeling, I'm gon be okay, Okay!!

Alright, alright. It's about damn time."

I danced and flung my legs over my arms and hips as many times as I could, the thought of this weekend blew me away faster than a bullet from a gun. I flickered at the shock of realizing songs that were vibeful on my music playlist.

I seemed outside this world. Hanging on to my headphones, I increased the volume to the highest that I didn't hear anything around me except my music on me.

"IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME…."

I shouted trying to catch on with the playing music.

OMG!!!

Spotify was nailing it right on the head for me.

And who's this incredible artiste by the way?

I rush to my tab to discover who it was.

Oouuu, Lizzo

Her voice's tender and sweet. I rush to her socials to drop her a follow.

While my playlist kept switching songs, I did all the choreography stunts that I had in my head enjoying and amusing myself in the most great manner that morning.

How 'bout I do a little of exercise routine thingy,

I rush downstairs to the doorway and I press the house's alarm timer to wake Reynolds up from sleep. My adrenaline was at its highest. At this point, I'd say I was in a mood rush.

I disturbed him but that was none of my business, he came out dizzy and drowsy from his room in his nighties. I ditched off the alarm.

Good morning brother, I said full of energy and gallantry while dancingly making a few moves.

Morning sunrise, he answered perplexed.

So why did you startle me with the alarm. You've made me default my sleeping patterns. He says stirring away from the window where the bright morning sunlight came from.

Perhaps, what shitty mess does she have up in her sleeves that she's willing to take me out of bed this early would be your thought, right.

Hold on, I say to him.

Besides, it's not too early. I just wanted to keep to my sleeping patterns for the first time and see what you've done, he says standing at akimbo stirring at me still half-awake and drowsy.

But not to worry, I had this all sorted as I unfixed my headphone from my ears connecting it to the speakers via my Bluetooth.

And it's about to go down…

Music rapidly surrounding the entire atmosphere not until it reaches it's brink as he jolts up awake from where he was already standing.

"TURN OFF THE MUSIC, LET'S CELEBRATE…

I GOT A FEELING, I'M GON BE OKAY, OKAY!!!!

ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT. IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME…."

I say rubbing my shoulders on his, while motioning forward with some awkward dance steps.

But astonishingly, he joins me even dancing better than I do.

Damn, you got the moves Reys…

You're such a swift dancer, I remark him trying to match the speed and energy but can't, your adrenaline pumps faster than mine, I remark him again.

He chuckles, I'm up for anything even as a surprise like this.

It's such surprise that I've not known this part of Reys all these years…..ok, what of if we go out for a lil exercise.

Jogging and some sprain ups.

Not even letting me finish, he rushes in declining my offer. Nah, I'm not doing that. You could go to your potential boyfriend's house.

You nasty, Reys.

Why are you saying that? I inquired.

He may accept it, Don't know, he says shrugging his shoulders.

Just a random suggestion, he added.

No, we're dancing it out if you say so.

Ok, he affirmed but you nasty rather. What's wrong with calling Jax out for a lil morning exercise as you said.

You're such a jerk for thinking it's that easy, I hurriedly replied with a timid smirk but the vibe of the music got us intoxicated as we danced our lives out for the next two hours.

Somewhat, something that felt like we were in the club. Just that we weren't sipping some bottles of Heineken and Hennessy.

Okay, while panting and gasping for breath. Reynolds takes a break sitting on the floor.

Ooh, you're tired.

Yes, of course he says while struggling to catch his breadth.

At least it was worth it. I ridiculed

And what's that, he queried?

The dance, it was worth the time for an exercise. I said chuckling.

Sis, you always have a way of making people do the things you want but not with Ronan and why is that?

Wanted to say something?

We'd work on it in the course of due time, he interrupted.

But this was worth it though, especially as it had been a while since I did this.

Later as we turned down the music, we refreshed, ate and did all the house chores we left from the weekdays.

And this time I invited Reys to watch the remaining episodes of The Bridgerton Series, I had on my watchlist.

We ate while watching, potato chips and bottles of coke. The perfect cinematic mode I had prepared but he initiated me to play some of his pad games although I couldn't play that much.

Thought it's supposed to be Jax on this console with you? I asked making jest.

He just texted me yesterday that he'd travelled to Houston on a family vacation to visit his grandparents at the country side.

That urgent, I hesitated in deep shock and concern.

Yeah, he said it was. He replied.

So cool as bro's, that he'd forgotten he should've dropped a message for me too but Reys cut me in as he say, I just knew you'd be pissed but he said I should tell you he'd gone and that you should take care of yourself and also not to forget the deal.

I turn to Reys who looks at me forgetting he's in a game battle. I turn back and finish all his men in the battle.

A'ight, send my regard middleman.

Okay Miss, but you wouldn't play your tricks that well to win next time.

We get back to continue the movie series.

Same movie routine which we repeated on Sunday and off the weekend went.
