Marcus stands before her, his face unreadable, his stance unwavering. He doesn't rush to answer, which only fuels Anna's impatience.
"We are running out of time," she presses. "Lucian is smart. I know he's already figuring things out. If we don't act fast, then trust me, even as clueless as he is about our plans, he will piece everything together. Especially when he is together with that... that person so-called Aiden!" Her voice rises slightly, laced with irritation.
