Aiden struggles against Lucian's grip, twisting and pulling, but no matter what he does, Lucian is far stronger.
His resistance only seems to fuel Lucian's anger, his hold tightening as if to silently remind Aiden that no amount of struggling will set him free.
And that knowledge, knowing that Aiden wants to get away from him just so he can go to Dale, makes Lucian's rage spiral further out of control.
Lucian grits his teeth, his voice coming out as a low, guttural groan, thick with restrained fury.
"Leave." He directs the word at Dale, his whole body trembling from the effort of suppressing the storm inside him.
He can feel his wolf clawing at the surface, demanding release, demanding vengeance.
But Dale doesn't move.
"I. Said. Leave!" Lucian repeats, his voice more forceful, more dangerous. Jackson stiffens beside them, his entire demeanor shifting from tense to outright alarmed.
