In the Trothe kingdom, a child is born in the house Tempest of the duke. His father Rollo Tempest and Gisla Tempest are filled with joy by the birth of their third son. But their joy quickly faded and their smiles turned into frowns. The newborn had a peculiar appearance. He had hair as white as snow and eyes as blue as the sea. His skin was radiant and clear without a single blemish. Even the servant maids present were surprised.
"Why does he have white hair? Did you cheat on me!" Rollo asked Gisla angrily
"How dare you accuse me of cheating! Why would I cheat on my husband of twenty years?"Gisla responded sternly while holding her newborn in her arms.
She sat on her bed staring at her newborn baby.
"Everybody out. I said get out, all of you!!"Rollo ordered.
Rollo and Gisla remained in the room alone. The room was a spacious bedroom with a queen-sized bed in the middle with two bedside tables on each side of it. The room had two windows, one facing the courtyard and one facing the city. Rollo stood by one of the windows staring a the large city.
"how do I know that the child is mine and you didn't cheat on me?"Rollo asked sternly.
"This child is a blessing from the gods. We should give thanks for this child will bring joy to this family."Gisla said calmly.
Gisla was a forty-year-old average-height woman with long light brown hair that reached her shoulders. She had dark brown eyes and was very attractive. She also had a melodious voice.
Rollo was a forty-year-old average-height man with medium-length blonde hair. He had dark brown eyes and a brown full beard. He had a deep and intimidating voice.
He didn't know how to respond to Gisla's words. He could only stay quiet and have faith in what she said. Even Gisla herself didn't believe in what she said. She only said those this to calm Rollo. She sat on the bed while looking at their child not knowing whether the child would bring honor or disgrace to the family.
They then agreed to name the child Blake Tempest
***4 years later***
"Stop running in the halls Blake," Gisla said.
"I can't stop now Mother, today is the day, "Blake said earnestly while still running past his mother.
His mother Gisla looked at him as he ran off with worried eyes. She had a bad feeling that she just could not get rid of.
Today was the day Blake was to awaken and gain the ability to use magic. Usually, when a child turns four, a mana core forms in their chest, which gives the child the ability to use one of five types of magic. Fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning. Blake was eager to awaken the fire attribute. His father Rollo also used fire magic. Blake ran across the manor to his father's office. He pushed the doors open and found his father sitting by his desk, going through some important documents. The office was a large traditional office with a desk in the middle of the room with two seats in front of it facing each other. Behind the desk was a large window where one could see the whole compound. There was a large bookshelf that leaned on the right wall of the room. It had many books of different categories. The floor was wooden with a small rug in the middle. There was a large chandelier on the ceiling that looked as though it could fall at any moment. His brother Jean and a magic professor were in the room discussing something. When Blake entered the room everyone stopped what they were doing, and stared at him. Rollo looked at him seriously as if he were looking at a criminal. Jean looked at him with disgust. Jean was a tall well built young man. He had medium-length blonde hair that extended just past his ears. He didn't have any facial hair. His eyes were a light brown color, almost golden.
Jean walked up to Blake and said," Oh look, it's the bastard. Get out! Don't you see I'm busy with the professor?"
"Actually, I came here for him, "The magic professor said to Jean. "I came here to help him awaken. He should be mature enough to awaken now." The professor was an old man with long gray hair that went past his neck. He had a thick gray beard that looked like a bird was using it as a nest.
"Very well with your permission your excellence, I would like to start the ritual."The professor said to Rollo.
"Go ahead, quickly please," Rollo responded with an eager look on his face. He looked like a child about to receive a gift from their parent.
"Have a sit child, and close your eyes," The professor said to Blake.
"On the floor?" Blake responded.
"Yes, on the floor,"
"ok,"
Blake sat on the floor, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes. The professor then placed his hand on Blake's head and started imbuing Blake's body with mana. This process aimed to force the mana core to awaken. The professor withdrew his hand and looked intently at Blake. there was quiet for a while.
"Is something supposed to happen?" Blake asked.
The professor was confused. He then tried again, still nothing happened and again and again, and yet despite redoing the process almost a hundred times, nothing changed.
"Professor, what's the problem?"Rollo asked eagerly.
"I..I.Don't know." The professor responded with a confused look on his face.
"Why did he not awaken? Is he sick? or is he__"
"He doesn't have any mana in his body to help form a mana core."
"What...why...how come?"
"I don't know, this isn't normal. Even a newborn baby has some amount of mana in their bodies. Your son does not have even a single drop of mana."
"There must be something you do, "Rollo said desperately.
"No there isn't. There are spells for improving mana, but none for creating mana out of thin air," the professor responded.
"Does that mean__"
"Yes, your son is a deviant,"
