Elowen sat quietly, her eyes moving between her daughters. The soft crackling of the fireplace was the only sound for a moment.
"An SSS-level power…" she said slowly. "That's more than just rare."
"It was wild," Evelyn said, shaking her head. "At first, we thought something went wrong. When Ethan touched the crystal, it didn't light up like it did for everyone else."
"It actually went dark," Everly added. "Like someone switched it off. Everyone just stared, completely confused."
"But then," Evelyn leaned forward, "there was this burst. It wasn't just light—it felt like something heavy just dropped into the room. Like a wave hitting us."
"A throne showed up," Everly said. "Right in front of Ethan. Like it belonged to him."
Elowen blinked. "A throne?"
"Yeah," Everly nodded. "Not a normal one either. It looked ancient but not worn out. Like it was made from gold and shadows, glowing just a little. It didn't belong in a high school gym, that's for sure."
