Chapter 57 - Peaceful Empire

The sun cast its golden rays over the grand stone staircase leading up to the dojo, a testament to the hard work and dedication that had gone into its creation. At the top of the hill, standing tall against the sky, was the grand dojo of Garou. It was no ordinary dojo; it was a place where warriors, nobles, and commoners alike came to learn a martial art unlike any other. Garou's unique combat style had spread across the continent, making his dojo the most famous in the land. People traveled from all corners of the empire to train under the legendary martial artist, hoping to catch even a fraction of his skill.

Garou himself stood at the entrance, arms crossed, watching as students sparred under the careful guidance of his senior disciples. He had come a long way, from a lone fighter and a hero hunter to a teacher shaping the next generation. His dojo had become a place of discipline and enlightenment, drawing in those who sought strength not just in their fists, but in their spirits as well.

Meanwhile, the empire continued to flourish. Since the revolution's end, peace had reigned, and the people lived in an era of prosperity unlike any since the empire's founding. Emperor Makoto, wise beyond his years, had led the nation to stability, proving himself a just and capable ruler. His reign was marked by progress in all fields—economics, governance, and even medicine.

Dr. Stylish had been a key figure in these advancements. Once a scientist known for his questionable methods, he had reformed under the new empire and pushed the field of medicine to new heights. His breakthroughs in healing techniques and disease prevention had saved countless lives, making his contributions as significant as the empire's foundation itself. His name would be recorded in history as one of the greatest minds of his time.

Elsewhere, love had blossomed in the wake of war. Wave and Kurome had married, with Kurome finally healed thanks to Dr. Stylish's treatments. What was once an uncertain future had turned into a long and happy life for the two. Run had married Himiko, the two of them continuing their work in improving education and orphan care across the empire. Tatsumi and Seryu, despite their rocky beginnings, had found love in one another and married as well, proving that redemption and change were always possible.

Eren, the young boy who was the first student of Garou, had started dating Bols's daughter. The two had bonded over time and got closer with each passing day.

Perhaps the most unexpected pairing, however, was Leone and General Budo. Many had been shocked by the revelation, as Budo was fifteen years older than her, but that had never mattered to Leone. Their relationship, built on mutual respect and understanding, had grown into something more. To everyone's surprise, they made a strong and loving couple, with Leone's wild nature balancing Budo's stern discipline.

Today, however, was not just any day—it was a day of celebration. The streets of the capital were alive with joy and laughter, as banners flew and music filled the air. People danced in the streets, feasting and celebrating what was perhaps the grandest event in recent history: the wedding of The Wise Emperor Makoto to his beloved Ari. The young emperor, once a boy struggling to find his place, had grown into one of the greatest rulers in the Empire's history, and today, he was taking his next step in life.

Garou sat among his friends at the grand banquet, enjoying the atmosphere. He was seated at a special table, and on his lap sat his two sons. One had a striking blue head of hair and golden eyes, while the other had silver hair and deep red eyes. They were a mix of their parents, a testament to the life he had built in this foreign world.

His friends were all there. Tatsumi and Seryu sat on the table next to him, sharing drinks and exchanging playful jabs. Wave had an arm around Kurome, who leaned into him contentedly, while Run and Himiko laughed as they watched the festivities. Even Leone and Budo were enjoying themselves, though Leone was the one doing most of the drinking, as expected.

Esdeath, who had chosen a different path from her past self, sat with Akame around Garou, both of them watching the festivities with warm smiles. No longer generals or killers, they had found peace in the new world they had helped shape, and now, they could enjoy it freely.

As Garou watched the young emperor stand at the altar with Ari, a genuine smile spread across his face. This was the world he helped and chose to stay in. A world where people could live, love, and thrive without fear. He had once only sought battle, but now, he understood that there was more to life than just fighting. Teaching, raising a family, and watching the next generation grow—these things had become just as important to him.

As the ceremony reached its peak and Makoto and Ari exchanged vows, the crowd erupted into cheers. Fireworks lit up the night sky, marking the beginning of a new era. Garou looked around at his friends, his family, and the people of the empire, all gathered in celebration.

This was peace. This was the life they had fought for.

Garou took a deep breath, closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them, looking toward the future.

The End.
