Jaehoon continues down the multiple hallways. One after another, he defeated more and more spiders and he leveled up 4 times because of it.
"I leveled up 4 times. Now the stat points…. Where should I allocate them? I have 20 stat points. Then I'll allocate them on strength and agility," Jaehoon says, thinking of where to allocate the stat points before allocating them on agility and strength.
"I shouldn't stay here for long. Let's just keep going."
Jaehoon continues walking down the dark path, not knowing what lies ahead. But one thing is sure for him, there are insect type monsters. And Jaehoon most likely expected for the boss to be harder than the rest.
After a while, Jaehoon reaches a bigger room where he could see multiple cobwebs on the cave walks and ceilings.
"Large cobwebs…. I expected this to be the boss room but I couldn't sense a single mana from here. I can't feel anything," Jaehoon says, feeling the lack of mana presence in the room. Jaehoon walks a little deeper into the room and finds a lot of eggs laying around.
"Eggs…. This is probably the eggs chamber. But I still can't sense any mana…. Are all of these eggs not incubated enough? None of them seems to emit any mana."
Jaehoon walks near one of the eggs and touches it.
"It's not that…. It's warm. The babies inside are alive but they just won't hatch," Jaehoon says, touching one of the eggs, feeling the warmth of the egg and he instantly knew that all the babies inside the eggs are alive, they just won't hatch.
Jaehoon stops touching the egg and looks around, trying to see what else is in here. While looking around, Jaehoon sees some of the bigger eggs already hatched. Probably a dozen of them. And the eggs don't look the same as the other eggs. They emit a high mana residue on the shells
"I can feel a strong mana residue from the egg shells. Even stronger than the spiders I've fought on my way here. Can I even beat one of the spiders that hatched from those eggs…. And the residue isn't long either. If I were to guess, they're around 2 hours old. This is bad…. From the residue alone, I can sense they're at least D-rank if not low C-rank," Jaehoon says, feeling a strong residue of mana from the egg shells. He asks himself if he could beat even one of the spiders that hatched from those eggs. Jaehoon also guessed the rank of those spiders to be around D-rank if not low A-rank.
"I should be careful. Let's continue. I want to leave this daily quest dungeon fast."
Jaehoon walks back to the way that he came from. He then continued down the other passageways. Before Jaehoon continues, he could feel a strong mana presence on one of the passageways.
"A strong mana presence…. The boss? No…. It's probably those spiders that hatched from those big ass eggs…. But it's the only passageway that has mana presence. Out of those three, it's the only one. I guess, it's the only way where I could find the boss or I should call the queen there."
Jaehoon goes down the passageway that emits the most mana presence. It takes a while before Jaehoon reaches the end. At the end, it was a lair covered in webs. Jaehoon can feel the strong mana presence but he can't see where the spiders are. He can only sense the mana presence.
"I can sense them but I can't see them. Is it stealth? I can at least pinpoint their locations if I could see them but I can't even see or feel where they are currently. Most likely, to be in stealth mode," Jaehoon says, expecting the spiders to be in stealth mode since he can't see or pinpoint their locations.
Suddenly, one of the spiders appears out of nowhere and tries to ambush Jaehoon but Jaehoon quickly turns to parry the attack.
"Ugh! I knew it. They're in stealth modes and currently trying to find an opening to ambush me. But that won't work. I already found out your plan and I'll make sure to kill all of you."
After Jaehoon says that, the rest of the spiders show themselves. Jaehoon feels a little bit nervous at the fact that he's facing multiple D-rank or even low C-rank spiders.
"Whatever it is.... I just want to leave this dungeon quickly. I don't want to die. I've had enough of dying after those test that are set by that goddamn angel. I should be able to win.... If there's one! But a dozen?! Doesn't matter, I'll make sure that I'm the winner!" Jaehoon says in his mind, determines to win and leave the daily quest dungeon quickly.
Jaehoon quickly readies himself for the battle that awaits him. All the spiders suddenly started to attack Jaehoon relentlessly without rest. All of them are strong.
"Shit! If they come at me one after another, it will be fine. But multiple?! How the hell am I going to win?! I'm fucked!" Jaehoon says in his head, cussing out for the situations he's currently in.
Jaehoon wastes no time and starts to counter attacks all the spiders.
"They're definitely stronger than the rest I fought last time! I'm sure I will get some injuries after this," Jaehoon says in his mind, knowing the spiders he's currently fighting are stronger than the last bunch he fought.
One of the spiders spits poison at Jaehoon. Jaehoon couldn't react quick enough and got hit with it.
[You have been inflicted with poison.]
[Time remaining: 120 seconds]
The system appears warning Jaehoon about the poison effect.
"2 minutes?! Isn't that too long?! Whatever! Let me just end this fight before I start to lose more health!" Jaehoon says, telling himself to keep fighting before he loses more health.
Jaehoon keeps on fighting. But after a while he starts to cough up blood because of the poison.
[HP: 200/ 1350]
The system waens Jaehoon about his HP starting to get low.
"Shit! My HP is lower than I expected! At this point, I'm going to die!" Jaehoon cusses out in his mind at the fact that his HP is becoming low. "My vision starts to become blurry too. At this point I'm going to become blind and die,"
"No…. Not yet…. I will not die yet!" Jaehoon shouts as he stabs one of the spiders on the abdomen and kills it.
[You have killed an Enchanted Giant Spider]
[You have leveled up]
The system appears and informs Jaehoon about him killing the Enchanted Giant Spider and leveled up.
*"Huh? I leveled up? That's great! What stat should I allocate it to? Shit! I don't know! I'll just have to guess!"* Jaehoon says in his mind, realizing that he leveled up and he's currently thinking of where to allocate the stat points.
"I'm not sure but this is a fifty-fifty situation! Allocate all to resilience!" Jaehoon shouts, thinking that this is currently a fifty-fifty situation but it's actually not.
[Resilience: 15 to 20]
[Your resistance to negative effects has increased from 2% to 5%]
The system informs Jaehoon about his current situation and the fact that he chooses the right stat to allocate all of his available stat points.
"It worked? I thought it was a fifty-fifty, but I guess not! Hah! Now I'm more resistant to negative effects!" Jaehoon says in his mind, feeling joyful that the stat he chose was the correct stat to allocate all of his available stat points into.
Jaehoon, feeling more confident in winning, starts to charge at the rest of the Enchanted Giant Spiders and kills them one after another. Jaehoon's body also manages to sustain the physical and the poison injuries he's getting overtime. But this doesn't stop Jaehoon from fighting.
[You have leveled up]
[You have leveled up]
[You have leveled up]
"That's a total of 15 stat points. Let me think of it first," Jaehoon says, thinking of where to allocate the 15 available stat points into.
"I've made up my mind 9 to strength and 6 to agility. Allocate them," Jaehoon says in his mind dividing all the available stat points to strength and agility.
[Strength: 20 to 29]
[Agility: 25 to 31]
"Alright, that should be enough for now. Let's kill the rest of these Enchanted Giant Spiders. They're really annoying," Jaehoon says, determined to win against the last of the Enchanted Giant Spiders.
One after another, Jaehoon kills them easier because of his level that is now currently at 6. Jaehoon finally kills the last Enchanted Giant Spider and suffers from injuries that aren't too bad.

"Hah…. Hah…. That's exhausting…." Jaehoon says as he Lumos down on the ground, feeling relieved that he killed the dozen of the Enchanted Giant Spiders. "Now only the queen is left. But the question is, where is the queen? I can sense her mana over here but I can't see it again. There's no way she's in stealth mode like those Enchanted Giant Spiders. Before that, I think I'm going to allocate some stats. I have 20 so…. 10 to resilience and let's try 10 to senses,"
[Resilience: 20 to 30]
[Your resistance to negative effects has increased from 5% to 11%]
[Senses: 10 to 20]
[All of your senses has been increased by 5%]
"That's great. Thank goodness the stats have descriptions after leveling them up. If that doesn't exist, I would've been clueless about what's the use of all the stats. I feel a lot stronger. My mana is still too low. Even if I have to get an assessment of being an Irregular Hunter, I would likely be an E-rank because of my mana pool that's small. But I guess it's not that bad. At least, I get to join a raid team and grind some level by fighting monsters in secret," Jaehoon says to himself, feeling that he's stronger despite having a small mana pool. Jaehoon is considering being an Irregular Hunter right now or not. Even if he applied for an assessment, he knew the result would be E-rank no matter how strong he physically is.
"The assessment is really weird. They just determine your rank by mana not by physical or anything else. That's how the Irregular Hunter's rank assessment works. I should level up more and increase my mana. But I need to know the stats to increase my mana. I'll figure it out later," Jaehoon says, remembering how assessment works for Irregular Hunters. Jaehoon right now feels determined to get stronger and increase his mana pool so he would get a higher rank than E-rank.
Suddenly, Jaehoon feels a tap of a spider leg in his back. Jaehoon immediately gets up and turns around but sees nothing but only the darkness . Suddenly, the system picks up a name.
[The Weaving Shadow, Anansi • Level:35]
"What? But there's nothing there…. Wait…. The name….! Shit! I know what's going on now!" Jaehoon says as he readies his dagger before a fight breaks out.
"Wait…. The name is in white…. Usually when I see the name of the enemies in white it means they're weaker than me…. Alright! This will be a piece of cake!" Jaehoon says, knowing the fact that the queen is weaker than him.
Jaehoon wastes no time and starts to rush at the Anansi trying to hit it in the darkness but he hits nothing. He looks around and sees the name displayed on top of the Anansi's head changes location in an instant.
"I understand now…. She can move only in the shadows. So if I light up this whole room, she can't hide anymore. But how? How am I going to do that? I don't even have magic. Wait. I never checked if there's a shop site in the system. Let me try. Open shop," Jaehoon says, thinking of how to light up the whole room so the Anansi can't hide anymore. Jaehoon remembers that he never tried to check if there's a shop site in the system.
[Shop]
[Daily shop items]
[Grimoire of Fire: 20 coins]
[Relic of Stealth: 5 coins]
[Hell's Metal: 100 coins]
"There is a system site. Now my balance. Balance check," Jaehoon says, finding out that the system has a shop site and he wants to check his balance right now.
[Balance: 35 coins]
"Oh. I have enough. Alright then. Let me buy Grimoire of Fire and Relic of Stealth," Jaehoon says, seeing the coins he has is enough to buy the things he wanted. "I really wanted that Hell's Metal…. It's expensive though,"
[Successfully bought Grimoire of Fire ×1 and Relic of Stealth ×1]
"Alright. Time to check out the Grimoire of Fire," Jaehoon says, wanting to check about the Grimoire of Fire.
[Grimoire of Fire]
[Rarity: Epic]
[Description: Grants the user to use Fire Magic (not fully unlockable)]
"That's very useful right now. I don't even care if it won't unlock all spells at once. Use,", Jaehoon says, realizing the usefulness of the Grimoire of Fire right now and immediately use it without caring about not unlocking all the spells.
[You have unlocked Fire Magic]
[Current spells unlocked]
[Fire Shot]
[Unlock at level 10]
[Unlock at level 25]
[Unlock at level 40]
[Unlock at level 55]
[Unlock at level 60]
[Awakening unlocked at level 100 and above]
"That's a lot of skills and an awakening…. That's kind of hard to achieve. I'm currently at level 8. 2 more levels and I can get the second skill. For now, let me just burn the cobwebs down. Fire Shot," Jaehoon says, looking at the system interface where it shows all the locked skills and the locked awakening. Jaehoon casts Fire Shot and aims it on the cobwebs.
All the cobwebs start to burn down and the Anansi let out a high pitch screech. After most of the cobwebs are burned down, Jaehoon can finally see the Anansi clearly.
"There you are. I finally found you," Jaehoon says, feeling relieved that he figured out how to defeat the Anansi. Jaehoon immediately charges at the Anansi and jumps up. Jaehoon lands on its head near its eyes. Jaehoon stabs one of its eyes to temporarily blind the Anansi. The Anansi let out a high pitch screech again, feeling the pain of the stab from Jaehoon.
"Time to finish this," Jaehoon continues, feeling ready to finish the fight. Jaehoon jumps to its abdomen and stabs his dagger through the abdomen. "This will definitely kill you," Jaehoon says, feeling confident of his plan.
Jaehoon then drags his dagger from the top to the bottom of the abdomen by jumping down while the dagger is still in Anansi's abdomen. The Anansi lets out another high pitch painful screech after that. And Jaehoon sees this as an opportunity for something else.
"Final attack. Fire Shot straight to the wound," Jaehoon says, casting Fire Shot to the open wound he made on its abdomen. The fire hits the wound and starts to burn the Anansi from the inside out. "I knew this would work. My guess was correct,"
The Anansi then falls down. It's lifeless body laying there unmoving.
[You have killed The Weaving Shadow, Anansi]
[You received Anansi's Fangs]
[You have leveled up]
[You have leveled up]
[You have unlocked the skill "Fire Arrow]
[You have killed the boss]
[The gate to exit the dungeon will now open]
The same sized gate when Jaehoon entered appears again. Jaehoon then says "It's the exit, I'm guessing. Well, let's go back and check the reward afterwards,"
As Jaehoon steps into the gate, he then comes back into the real world. Right in his bedroom. "How long has it been since then? I feel like I was in the dungeon for 2 hours," says Jaehoon, asking himself how long has it been in the real world. Jaehoon then takes his phone out and checks the time. In the real world, it's only been 20 minutes.
"Wait, what? It's only been 20 minutes? Usually normal Gates will affect the earth's time as well. Such as if it's 2 hours inside, it's 2 hours outside too. But how? How did the daily quest dungeon only take 20 minutes if I was in there for 2 hours straight? Maybe because it's a dungeon created by the system? That could be it. I doubt the normal Gates will be the same as this if I enter them. Well, whatever," says Jaehoon, asking himself how it has been 20 minutes on earth when he's in the daily quest dungeon for 2 hours. Jaehoon assumes this is because of the system's doing and he doubts that it will be the same with the rest of the Gates around the world.
"For now let's check the rewards that I got from the daily quest dungeon. Let's see…. I got some item drops from the Anansi but I didn't claim the rewards for clearing the daily quest yet. So…. Claim," Jaehoon says, wanting to check the rewards that he received.
[You have received 5 stat points]
[You have received 25 coins]
[You have received Poison Gland ×1]
[You have received recovery]
"That's great. I received a total of 15 stat points from leveling up and the daily quest rewards. And some materials. I'm guessing it's for crafting. Anansi's Fangs and Poison Gland. I'll figure out what it's for later. It's probably for something useful," Jaehoon says, as he feels good about receiving 15 stat points from leveling up and the daily quest. He also questioned about the use of Anansi's Fangs and Poison Gland since it's new for him and Jaehoon guesses they're used to craft something.
"I think I'll get an assessment to become an Irregular Hunter. It's better than waiting for the cooldown of the daily quest. I'll just go tomorrow. I want to rest for today. I'm really beat…." Jaehoon says, feeling tired from all the fighting in the daily quest dungeon.
Jaehoon wastes no time and goes right to sleep. The next morning Jaehoon wakes up and goes straight to the bathroom to wash his face first and take a shower. After he finishes taking a shower and drying himself off, he starts to dry his hair.
"New day. Let's go to the Irregular Hunter's Association, I guess? Well, this will be a long day. Before that, let me allocate the available stat points. Stats," Jaehoon says, feeling ready to go get an assessment to become an Irregular Hunter. Before that, he wants to allocate all the stat points that he has. Jaehoon then calls out the system to open the stats tab.
[Stats]
[Strength: 29]
[Agility: 31]
[Intelligence: 5]
[Resilience: 30]
[Senses: 20]
"I'm guessing will increase my mana. Let's try it out. If it fails, I can't turn back now," Jaehoon says, guessing that the intelligence stat will increase his mana. "Allocate all into intelligence,"
[Intelligence: 5 to 20]
[Your mana has increased from 200 to 800]
[Your knowledge of magic has been increased to 20%]
"My guess is correct?! Nice!" Jaehoon says, feeling relieved that his guess was correct. "Alright. Now the assessment. Let's get going now," says Jaehoon, wanting to leave and get an assessment to be an official Irregular Hunter.
