It was rumored that this Third Young Master was extremely lecherous, visiting the courtesans in the Heavenly Alliance City every day!
"How will I get him to give up marrying Sis who is known for her beauty?"
Bai Luo was extremely troubled by this matter. The problem was as hard as getting a starving dog to see a roasted duck and walk away from it—it was simply impossible!
Out of habit, Bai Luo began nibbling on the tip of his right thump's fingernail.
"If I really want this guy to give up on Sis, there might be a way. But… it's way too extreme."
After grappling with his decision for a moment, Bai Luo's eyes behind the white veil soon flashed an ominous light.
"No, if I want Sis to be happy then I have to do this, there's no other way."
After steeling his resolve, Bai Luo turned and headed for the backyard of the courtyard. Once there, he walked over to the wall surrounding it, and after making sure no one was around, he tapped one of his feet onto the ground and gently floated up and over it.
As soon as Bai Luo's feet landed in his courtyard, his figure flickered like a specter, appearing and disappearing several meters apart as he headed for his bedroom.
Once inside his bedroom, which was pitch black due to the closed windows, he expertly maneuvered around the numerous books on the ground and moved toward the table under the window opposite his bed.
After shifting some of the piles of books on the desk, he finally found the Technique Manual he was looking for.
"This is it…"
Despite the darkness, Bai Luo was still able to make out the title of the book just fine.
"… Severing Dual Cultivation Technique."
As he muttered the name of the Technique Manual, Bai Luo couldn't help but think back on the content he had previously read inside, which at the time had made him reel back in shock. Even now, he felt a cold chill running down his spine.
"I still can't believe someone actually created a Technique like this. It's so malicious I wouldn't want even my worst enemies to experience this. But…"—Bai Luo's eyes narrowed into slits—"If I'm able to knock that guy unconscious and forcefully circulate this Technique through his meridians, then with the resulting effects I should be able to force him to call off the marriage. Ah, wait..."
Bai Luo suddenly remembered something.
"It's said that he's a wastrel that can't cultivate."
Bai Luo stood in his room in darkness looking at the book in thought. After a moment he said.
"Those rumors should be exaggerations. It might not be that he isn't able to cultivate, but that his cultivation talent isn't noteworthy. I refuse to believe that as the third son of the Heavenly Murim Alliance Leader, he's not able to cultivate at all. At the very least his meridian should be open, and as long as they are open my plan will work. Now, about how to get him unconscious. Hmm, that should be easy."
After saying this, Bai Luo walked over to another side of his room where there were two large shelves next to each other. One was full of books, and the other was filled with small vials containing mysterious liquids and pills.
He picked up one vial containing liquid, and after muttering a few unintelligible words, he shook his head and placed back the vial to pick up another one.
After doing this a few times, Bai Luo finally settled on one of the smaller vials on the shelf.
"Since his cultivation isn't that high, if I were to give him too much it might cause some complications."
After putting away the small manual in his robes and the vial inside his sleeve pocket, Bai Luo left his room and leaped back over the wall to his sister's courtyard.
When he landed, he fixed his clothes and veil before inhaling and exhaling a breath of air. He then took a step to leave the courtyard, but as he did, his entire demeanor shifted from nonchalance to cold elegance.
With steady steps, Bai Luo left the courtyard and slowly made his way to the front where there was already a carriage waiting for him.
Ha-yoon, who seemed to be holding back her worry while standing next to the carriage, saw the blue robed figure approaching and was momentarily stunned thinking that her Young Miss had changed her mind and returned.
However, she looked closely at the figure and spotted some slight differences to her Young Miss. Nonetheless, these were so minor that only she, who had been with her Young Miss for as long as she had, could detect these differences.
After sighing to herself in relief, she calmed her state of mind and greeted the blue robe figure.
"Greetings, Young Miss. The banquet has started, and the guests are awaiting your arrival."
"En, I'll have to apologize for keeping them waiting. Here, ride with me Yoonie."
The blue robe figure said before she grabbed Ha-yoon's hand.
"Ah, o-okay."
Ha-yoon was so taken aback by Bai Luo's performance that she wanted to lift the veil to check if this person was really the Young Master.
She had only ever met him three times since she became her Young Miss's personal maid, but all those times were accidents. They happened when she entered her Young Miss's room early in the morning to wake her up, only to find the Young Master sleeping on the floor next to her bed with a book in hand.
As for personally conversing with him, she had only ever heard him say two words and that was when he said 'thank you' to her for waking him up.
What was more, the third and last time she met him was nearly two years ago.
So, now seeing him face-to-face for the fourth time, how could she not be shocked by his near-perfect performance? Even his voice and casual act of calling her 'Yoonie' while pulling her as he pleased was indistinguishable from her Young Miss.
With a dazed expression, Ha-yoon was dragged into the carriage.
The coachman, who had known the Young Miss since she was little, smiled at the scene and then turned to usher the horses to move, completely unsuspecting of the swap.
