Chapter 95 - Myotismon: The Advantage Is Mine!

Half an hour later~

After soaking in the bath to wash away her fatigue, Angewomon (Lucy) stepped out of the tub, dried off, and walked over to the clothing rack.

There were two baskets on the rack, both with lids shaped like golden wings.

"Senior, mine's a little bigger~" Lucy chuckled smugly—finally, something she could beat her senior in.

Moss glanced at the baskets and smirked, "Your mindset's still too small."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Lucy asked, puzzled.

Moss gently rested a hand on her chest. "To expand your vision, you have to look at the whole picture—waist, hips, legs, feet… proportion is everything. A balanced package is true beauty. Being top-heavy is just lopsided."

…Can "vision" be used like that?

Lucy muttered internally, then said, "But in terms of proportions, we're basically the same, aren't we?"

Wait, that's true.

Though their finer details differed slightly, their overall builds were equally tall, elegant, and curvy.

"…"

Moss realized she wasn't winning this one, so she smoothly changed the subject and started getting dressed, one piece of gear after another.

Lucy also suited up and changed the topic: "Senior, what does that 'Great Demon King's Seal' inscription mean?"

"You're not actually sealing a demon king, are you?"

"It's a souvenir from another dimension," Moss said, pointing to the Fairy Tail emblem on her left shoulder.

"You travel to other dimensions often?" Lucy asked, astonished.

"Yup," Moss nodded.

Lucy sighed in admiration. "That kind of freedom… I really envy it."

"When you complete your mission," Moss said with a smile, "you can explore other digital dimensions too. With a little effort, you're bound to find a way."

Lucy thought to herself, why search at all? Once her mission's done, she could just follow Moss—maybe even visit Wizardmon's home world.

The two of them finished dressing, tied their belts, wrapped their sashes, exchanged a smile, and walked out of the bathhouse together.

Their destination—Myotismon's castle, the Dark Castle!

Night fell.

In the depths of the jungle stood a mysterious Gothic castle: The Dark Castle.

Inside, in a dim study lit only by candlelight, a pale-skinned, blue-eyed figure with golden hair sat at a desk.

A red bat-shaped mask covered just his eyes. He wore indigo aristocratic robes, complete with a high-collared black cloak lined with crimson.

This was Myotismon—an undead-type, Ultimate-level Digimon.

"Immortal king of Digimon… ruling over all…"

He murmured, glancing at a handwritten manuscript with a twisted smile.

Just then, a panicked voice echoed from outside.

"Lord Myotismon! Trouble!"

Myotismon calmly put down his manuscript, walked to the door, and opened it to see a floating orb-shaped creature with bat wings and beady eyes.

DemiDevimon.

Myotismon eyed the small Digimon—noisy, weak, and never as reliable as Gatomon. Still, his loyalty and usefulness spared him from deletion.

"Why the panic?" Myotismon asked coldly.

"A—An angel appeared outside!" DemiDevimon squawked.

Myotismon's pupils contracted. An angel? Already? I haven't even invaded the human world yet…

"And she's dragging Gatomon with her!" DemiDevimon added gleefully. "Gatomon must've betrayed us!"

He grinned, delighted by the prospect of his longtime rival being punished.

Myotismon scoffed, "Gatomon? She doesn't have the guts."

His reign of terror was absolute—any traitor would be annihilated, not even granted the chance to reincarnate as a Digi-Egg.

Confident, he asked, "How many angels?"

"Just one," said DemiDevimon. "The others are trash—Wizardmon, Astamon, Goblimon, Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gekomon, and Kunemon."

Myotismon's lips curled into a smirk.

"One angel dares walk into my domain at night? They're digging their own grave."

He swept his cloak and stormed out with theatrical flair.

As a vampire-based Digimon, he was drastically weaker in sunlight—but in the dark? He was at his peak. Even against Megas, he wouldn't flinch.

One angel? Easy prey.

"If the prophesied angel is showing up early," he muttered, "then I'll just eliminate her early. After that—Digital World, Human World—mine! Even the Dark Masters will bow before me!"

Drunk with ambition, Myotismon radiated dominance.

DemiDevimon trailed behind him, gushing admiration: "Wait for me, my lord!"

A minute later, Myotismon halted.

There she was—the angel DemiDevimon spoke of: Moss.

But he barely glanced at her. His gaze locked onto Gatomon, leading the group.

"Gatomon… don't tell me you've betrayed me?" His voice was calm, elegant—but carried immense pressure.

Except…

Gatomon didn't flinch.

She stared at him like he was already a corpse.

"…?"

Myotismon's smile faded.

She really had betrayed him!

He turned to Moss with a sneer. "This angel's your backup? You should've come during the day."

At least then, he'd have to try.

Now? In his castle, at night? This was his domain.

Moss only smiled. "If we hadn't come now, would you have shown yourself?"

His pupils trembled. She had baited him—lured him out into the open under his own conditions.

Damn her!

Still, he maintained his poise. "Confident, aren't you? Think you can defeat me?"

"You're wrong," Moss replied coolly.

"…She is." Gatomon stepped forward.

"I will defeat you."

"You? Pff—HAHAHAHA!" Myotismon burst into manic laughter.

That tiny rookie? Absurd!

Even DemiDevimon couldn't help jeering: "Traitor! How dare you disrespect Lord Myotismon! Eat this—Demi Dart!"

Three syringes launched toward Gatomon.

She casually slapped them aside.

Then, her body glowed—surging with energy—and a cocoon enveloped her form.

A moment later, the cocoon shattered.

In her place floated a radiant, eight-winged goddess.

Angewomon (Lucy).

"Uhh…" DemiDevimon gulped and hid behind Myotismon.

Even he stopped laughing.

Two angels now.

And this one looked stronger.

"You evolved… into an angel?" Myotismon growled. "I should've killed you long ago."

"You're too late," Lucy replied, her voice cool and serene.

No—I'm not!

"Dead Scream—!" Myotismon raised his arms, summoning shadowy bats of pure dark magic.

"Heaven's Charm!" Lucy countered, raising her hands. Golden rings glowed above, raining down rainbow light across the castle.

"ARRRGH!"

Every dark Digimon in the fortress screamed in agony—including Myotismon.

The divine light's energy clashed with his own darkness, stunning his body like a surge of electricity.

Lucy soared upward, eight wings spread wide, gazing down upon him.

"Prepare yourself, Myotismon."

His face twisted in disbelief.

This is MY castle! It's NIGHT!

How can I lose under these conditions!?

"No! I'm the chosen ruler of the Digital World! The one destined to rule! You angels go against fate!"

He shouted, desperate to reframe the narrative.

Lucy blinked. "...That made no sense."

She raised her left arm. The wing-shaped decorations on her glove extended into a majestic bow.

"Celestial Arrow."

She drew back an invisible string, divine lightning forming an arrow in midair.

Left leg raised—remember this pose.

"No! Wait—!"

We can talk this out!

But the light still paralyzed him.

WHOOSH!

The glowing arrow pierced through Myotismon's body.

In the original timeline, it had taken a collective effort—combining the powers of multiple Ultimate-level Digimon—for Angewomon to defeat him.

But now?

Thanks to Moss's Hellish 48-Hour Training, Lucy's raw power was leagues beyond that.

Even her Heaven's Charm had been stronger than canon—enough to suppress Myotismon despite his battlefield advantage.

"ARGHHHH!"

Myotismon shrieked as divine lightning spread across his body.

So close… I was so close…

"Nooooo—!"

He disintegrated in a burst of radiant light, reduced to ashes—only his red bat mask remained.

CRACK!

Moss lifted a finger and fired a small beam of purple light, shattering the mask.

"Huh?" Lucy blinked.
