Gliding her body around the blade, even using his own wind, to quicken her speed, she spun in a magnificent circle, bringing her body close to her master, her back touched his chest, and she looked up at him fawningly, making sure to wink as she simultaneously used an entrancing art. Her pretty lips carefully opened, her eyes were large and clear like the moon. It would make any man fall for her in moments, especially when paired with an enchantment art, but Lu Biming wasn't any man. He blinked, shaking his head, using his nascent soul, and his willpower to break out in less than half a second. However, that moment of negligence was all Hui needed, as her wooden blade curved upward, using the Qingcao sword art, Blade of Grass, her sword seeming to elongate, and thin, so that even a blade made of wood, could cut sheets of steel and stone. With expert control, her blade had already singed his neck, causing him to burst his power outward, throwing her away from him and take two steps back.
Hui caught herself onto the ground, slowing her backsliding with her wooden blade. She'd carved it herself out of the wood she'd picked up from the tree near that pond in the north. Although the wood had been kind of hard to carve, so she had had to use the random jade knife from the green on of the spacial rings, and even that could barely shave it. Really, why did they have such weird weapons? A pick ax out of obsidian, a chef's knife out of jade? These are terrible materials to make weapons out of!!! Especially that hairpin made of Bismuth. who chooses those two things to make a weapon out of?
However, currently, Hui was too busy watching Lu Biming, to pay any mind to these thoughts.
Lu Biming held his neck, where blood seeped through to fall into his collar.
"That's a fun little trick you learnt, it suits a woman like you." He spoke down to her.
She smiled back. "Thank you, I prepared it just for you. Men like you tend to fall for these things easily."
Gu Feng just looked back and forth between the two, completely shocked at their audacity, especially Hui. As for Li Yueming, he'd already taken a bowl of carrots from his spacial ring, and was munching on them in excitement from a stone stool, a healthy distance away. He loved when his little sister was around, everything was so much more lively!
Lu Biming smirked back, but his smile was noticeably twitching, before he raised his other hand, summoning a whirlwind that turned into a dragon as it descended. Next, his sword erupted into flames, and he slashed forward, his dragon turned from a wind morphed into a flaming dragon, bearing down on Hui at breakneck speed. But Hui just smiled, not even bothering to confront it head on, she leapt into the air, using her illusory footsteps, lightly stepped onto its nose, and then leapt onto its back, running up the flaming beast like it was nothing.
Lu Biming was shocked. He'd never seen anything like it, in all his years as a cultivator. One movement of his hand, the dragon turned around, racing to bite its neck where she now stood, but she merely leapt into the air, out of the way. It was like she was there, and then, she wasn't. Where had she learnt such a footwork? This obviously wasn't the windswept grass movement! He continued to control his dragon, as he summoned another one, sending that one toward her as well. However, right at that moment, her movements changed, and she did something utterly crazy. Her footsteps changed, She was walking with windswept grass beneath her feet, grass fluttered, the dragon raced into her, she let it come. Her hands moved, and on each side of her where her sword moved, grass formed. Grass grows everywhere, grass always grows first. Grass grows fast, and it grows into an unfettered net that covers the hills and valleys completely. She had completely comprehended Qingcao's Growing Grass technique, now, combining it with blade of grass, every leaf caught aflame with the dragon, and as the dragon bore toward her, she let it attack her, holding herself in the brunt of the attack with her sword, as her grass wound around the dragon, locking it in place. She thrust downward, the grass net turned into missions of grass blade. Even a blade of grass could cut through anything, if fast enough.
Before he could blink, she'd somehow severed his dragon's neck and dissipated the ego qi. How did this make sense? How can you sever qi itself? However, already, the dragon bodies were in disarray, Lu Biming had to cancel the technique. He'd always thought Qingcao's main sword arts were completely useless and hadn't bothered to even practice them. Now, he suddenly wondered if perhaps it were only the person using them that was the problem. Perhaps, he made a mistake. No!
His break in thought had been completely taken advantage of by Hui, she fell down, faster than fast itself, her entire body turning into a sharp blade of grass, as she narrowed in on her target.
However, Lu Biming already had enough. He stopped restraining his power, and let everything out, his blade roared, the might of a great wall of wind suddenly blasted over the mountain, their buildings all creaked under the strength of it, and many parts fell away instantly. The trees all bent under his power, and Gu Feng and Li Yueming had to both surround themselves with qi to protect themselves from it. However, Hui did not hesitate, merely gathering more speed as she descended. Lu Biming leapt up to meet her, happy to finally reveal his true strength to an opponent, even if his opponent was a mere woman. His hands were steady, his eyes firm, every part of him was locked onto his opponent at this moment. And for the first time in years, his heart began to beat in excitement, and he remembered why he'd taken the path of cultivation.
Hui's eyes met his, unafraid, and he loved the look, that was ready to give it all, even in the face of absolute failure. He met it with the same amount of respect, his wall of wind burst into flames, the heat so strong it singed the hair and feathers of everything in the mountain, and a couple buildings burst into flames, which Gu Feng hurriedly put out with the water technique he'd been forced to learn by Lu Biming after the arson incident. Hui didn't hesitate to sail straight into that wall of flames, her eyes still on the target she could no longer see.
