Chapter 2 - A Glimpse of Brown Curly Hair On Fu Yuan Jie Jie’s Special Day

10 years passed in the span of 3,652 nights. Gu Wei had grown up to be a exceedingly handsome joyous male and was now a professional sign language tutor.

He worked by day to provide help and exposure for the mute ,deaf, and impaired, and by night, he was known as the popular 'Jie Jie's Blooming Petal'.

A die-hard fan in the fandom community known as Fu Yuan's No.1 supporter and admirer.

None could beat his enthusiastic blogs, hefty flowers on Yourdramalist, and deeply thought comments on live's, posts, and drama's.

Truly, Jie Jie's Blooming Petal was a sight to behold in the fan forums, and no one dared compete with the 'Madman Fan'.

As like all days on a cold November Saturday, the great Fu Yuan was holding a fan meet-and-greet/concert at the large great stadium down Paiwan road, and Gu Wei got there several hours before starting time.

As his usual routine. Jie Jie's Blooming Petal wasn't called a Madman Fan for no reason.

Appearing several hours before the fan-meeting was to prepare extra blankets, hot drinks and snacks for the upcoming crowd so they would be as comfortable as they could while waiting for their Fu Yuan.

And that winter day was no exception.

The stadium was currently being used some big-named group, and although Gu Wei didn't know what they were called, he was still equally impressed with the amount of ants shuffling along the line, waiting to be processed in.

The group was mostly filled with women of all ages, and Gu Wei guessed the group that were currently occupying the stage were males.

Only females would flock in one place just to get a glimpse of male elegance.

Gu Wei himself was no exception, but he liked to think that he was more put together and prepared than the freezing huddled group.

Preparation for Gu Wei's Jie Jie's meet-and-greet were well under way when he saw a glimpse of familiar dark brown hair in curly waves.

It was gone in the flit of a moment and Gu Wei thought he'd imagined it until it appeared again. This time more evidently.

It was indeed a very familiar pair of feminine brown waves, but where exactly had Gu Wei encountered one with such hair?

The answer was just beyond Gu Wei's reach, and didn't appear in the forefront of his mind no matter how hard he searched here and there in his brain.

Giving up entirely on any recollection whatsoever, Gu Wei was considering approaching the figure when she was swallowed completely in the bundled-up rows of women.

The last Gu Wei saw of the mysterious female was pink dusted cheeks perched on a slender equally blushed neck, and then she was gone.

Disappearing entirely into the crowd.

Gu Wei still did not recall where he'd seen such a figure, and soon enough, several hours passed in the blink of eye, and it was now Fu Yuan Jie Jie's turn to shine.

Gu Wei gladly entered the venue, experiencing a special night of interactions with his Jie Jie, from her playful teasing to her perfectly choreographed dances.

Fu Yuan even picked him from the whole of thousand crowds to ask a question, and Gu Wei did not waste that chance, his question shocked even the audience.

How could someone think so big and sophisticated? Didn't the fan feel a slight nervousness? And how did he come up with such a meaningful question in the span of seconds?

The answer was the countless practice Gu Wei underwent before attending any of his Fu Yuan's events, and he prepared for even the silliest happenings, so this fan, as usual, was not a normal living person.

Before the fans could count their blessings and their souls could return to their love-filled bodies, two hours had passed, and they were soon filing out of the venue.

Their Jie Jie Fu Yuan had tried numerously to make this night a special one for her babies, and the fans were beyond satisfied.

It seemed that their stomachs was completely full with their Jie Jie's love, what help could sustenance offer in their love-filled belly?

However, a single fan did not share the same sentiment. Even his Jie Jie's love could not silence the aggressive growl in his stomach, and he didn't waste his time lingering.

The others watched as he broke from the group and headed to the vendors on the other side of the road. The boy was a special fan indeed.

Gu Wei was craving steamed buns, but he knew those were only available in the early hours when the sun was barely peeking through the clouds, so he would settle for skewered meat.

His feet took him from vendor to vendor through the Paiwan sidewalks and still Gu Wei did not stop to taste anything, his mouth still watering for the one and only steamed bun.

Giving up on his search for such a craving at this time of day, Gu Wei was going to settle for what he could get when he spotted the mane of brown hair again.

She was on the other side of the road, where he'd originally came from, and she was standing by none other than a vendor selling steamed buns.

Gu Wei praised his luck.

They did say his Jie Jie Fu Yuan was a four leaf clover in human form. He had no doubt in its trueness now.

As he waited to cross the road, Gu Wei once again racked his brain for any recollection of this curly haired female that kept appearing before him, and his mind finally snagged on something.

School. Was it from school? But Gu Wei couldn't remember knowing anyone with this much curly hair in university.

Surely, they might have changed their hairstyle during that time.

But the notion didn't sit well with him, so he thought further back, and the answer pinged loudly before him.

High School! It was during high school!

Gu Wei surely remembered a quiet classmate of his with curly hair, and this girl resembled the one in his memory.

It only took a few more steps and thinking, and by the time Gu Wei was standing before the mysterious stranger, he'd remembered her name.

And it turned out that the full mane of hair he'd glimpsed three times today, was none other than long forgotten crush Zhai Mei.
