Chapter 139 - The Great Escape of Apis: A Spicy Misadventure

On a creaky Marine ship, little Apis, a pint-sized prisoner with a dragon-claw pendant, decided she'd had enough of captivity. With a swift bonk to a guard's head using a conveniently placed mop, she scampered out of her room, giggling maniacally.

Sneaking onto the deck like a ninja on a sugar high, she climbed the mast—only to yank the sail open by mistake. The ship lurched sideways, Marines tumbled like bowling pins, and Apis, shrieking, leapt into a lifeboat, rowing off into the horizon with the grace of a caffeinated squirrel.

Luffy stretched lazily on the deck, squinting at Nami.

"Oi, Nami, are we at the Grand Line yet? I'm bored!"

"Two days, Luffy. TWO DAYS," Nami snapped, clutching her map. "You've asked me that 47 times!"

Suddenly, Raja, the crew's mysterious magical guru, strutted out, waving his wand.

"No stopping the Sun Breathing Dance, Luffy! Keep those lungs pumping!"

The crew huffed and puffed in sync on the deck—Zoro grunting, Sanji twirling, Usopp flailing like a windmill—looking like a bizarre fitness cult under Raja's stern glare.

Luffy, mid-breath, spotted something in the water. "Fish!" he yelled, stretching his rubbery arm and yanking up… Apis.

With a splat, she landed on deck, knocking Zoro overboard.

"MY NAP!" Zoro roared, splashing angrily.

Apis, dazed, woke to the scent of Sanji's sizzling bacon.

"FOOD!" she gasped, then froze. "Wait—PIRATES?!"

She bolted upright, clutching her pendant, refusing Sanji's plate like it was poisoned.

Hunger gnawed at Apis. She tiptoed into the kitchen, only to find Luffy dangling upside-down in a giant mousetrap, cheese in hand.

"Sanji's traps are no match for me!" he cackled, oblivious to the snap around his ankle.

Apis, wide-eyed, swiped his sandwich and darted off. The crew awoke to the commotion.

"She's a food ninja!" Usopp wailed.

Nami sighed, patting Apis' shoulder. "We're not evil, kid. Chill."

Feeling bold, Apis cooked breakfast—dumping a mystery spice into the mix.

The crew choked on fiery pancakes.

"I'm Apis from Warship Island!" she chirped, coughing.

"Why'd the Marines nab you?" Usopp pressed.

She clammed up.

Sanji swooned, "Her secrets are hers, you nosy gremlin!"—earning a glare from Zoro.

Trouble brewed as Marines spotted the Going Merry.

"That's her ship!"they barked, cannons blazing.

Raja twirled his wand, conjuring a gust of wind.

"To the Calm Belt, ye landlubbers!"he bellowed, and the ship zoomed off. Marines gawked as they halted pursuit. The Merry plopped onto a Sea King's head.

Usopp shrieked, "WE'RE DOOMED!" triggering a tail swipe. Apis tumbled overboard, but Luffy's arm stretched like a rubber lifeline, hauling her back.

She grabbed the Sea King's nostril hair, yanking hard.

"ACHOO!"The beast sneezed them skyward. Raja telekinetically softened their splashdown.

They washed up on a foggy, ship-shaped rock. Locals brandished pitchforks.

"Pirates!"they yelled.

Apis waved, "Chill, it's me!"

She hugged her grandfather Bokuden, who threw a feast.

"You saved her Thank you!" he cheered.

Marines radioed Nelson Royal: "She's there. Get her!"

Bokuden spilled the tea: "Lost Island's dragons have Dragonite bones—immortality juice!"

Apis whispered, "I ate the Hiso Hiso no Mi. I talk to animals. Ryu, my dragon pal, needs Lost Island." The Marines wanted her pendant—a dragon claw clue.

Luffy grinned, "We're helping Ryu!"

Nami groaned, "More trouble?!"

Raja nodded, "I sense his vibes with my magic. Let's roll!"

Marine Eric, a sneaky weasel, tailed them, eyeing Apis' pendant. The crew bolted, Luffy and Sanji karate-chopping Marines.

"Take that, curly-brows!" Luffy laughed.

"Less talk, more kick!"Sanji retorted.

Eric planned to track them, defying Nelson's fleet.

Ryu croaked, "East of here!"

The Merry sailed into a mirage and storm, landing on a hidden island. They fell into a temple, paintings hinting Lost Island sank nearby.

Eric ambushed, slashing at Zoro, who parried, "Nap-ruiner!" The crew fled as Nelson's fleet try to chain Merry. Raja flicked the chains and caught them mid-air using Magic with a smirk, "Ride 'em, cowboys!"

The crew swung aboard, smashing chain machines, Luffy bouncing cannonballs, Usopp blasting Nelson's Big Elimination Cannon into scrap.

Eric snatched Ryu and Apis, betraying Nelson, who fired on him.

Ryu, fed up, tail-whacked Eric off, taking cannonballs.

"Protect her, Luffy!" he gasped.

Luffy in Rage looked at Raja for help and he sent him Fly above the Navy fleet and Luffy unleashed a Gomu Gomu no Sun Battle-Axe, splitting Nelson's ship.

"MY SHIP!"Nelson wailed as Marines fled. An earthquake rumbled—Lost Island rose, Sennenryus landing, their fossils gleaming Dragonite.

Ryu wheezed his last, a baby dragon hatching—maybe him reborn.

Eric attacked Nelson, ranting, "Living dragons have Dragonite too!"

Apis lunged, "No way!"

Zoro's Wind Breathing Tatsumaki sent Eric spinning into the sky, screaming, "My hair gel!"

Apis stayed to guard the nest. Raja handed her Dragon-Raising for Dummies.

"Read up, kid!" he winked.

The Merry hit Reverse Mountain.

"Goals!" Luffy shouted, "Pirate King!"

Sanji swooned, "All Blue!"

Zoro grunted, "Best swordsman!"

Usopp whimpered, "Brave Seaman!"

Nami sighed, "World Map!"

Raja smirked, "Chaos!"

They cheered, sailing into the Grand Line, laughing at their wild ride.
