While Raja was busy sending Buggy's pirates flying like ragdolls, Nami seized the moment to do what she did best—stealing from fools. She slipped into Buggy's pirate-infested pub like a shadow, stepping over unconscious pirates sprawled across the floor, knocked out either by too much booze or Raja's Magic-Magic: Thunder Zap!. A lone guard patrolled the area, humming an off-key pirate shanty.
"Beware! You're in the presence of the Great Guard of Buggy-sama's Pirate Crew!" the guard boasted, puffing out his chest.
Before he could finish his grand monologue, Nami swiftly drew her weapon and cracked an iron pole over his head with a sharp thwack. He crumpled to the ground. He crumpled to the ground.
"Sorry, but that key is mine," she muttered, snatching the key from his belt. She unlocked a massive treasure chest and peeked inside. Her eyes gleamed.
"Jackpot," she whispered.
There it was—the Grand Line Map, the key to her dreams of unimaginable riches and reclaiming stolen treasure.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Buggy were locked in a chaotic brawl. Buggy's detached limbs zipped around like possessed marionettes, making it impossible for Luffy to land a clean hit. Luffy unleashed a Gomu Gomu no Pistol!, but Buggy dodged effortlessly, splitting his torso apart with a cackle.
"Haha! You can't hit me, Straw Hat!" Buggy taunted.
Then Buggy did the unthinkable. He snatched Luffy's straw hat and sneered. With a wicked smirk, he drew three daggers and stabbed them straight through the hat.
Silence fell.
Luffy's eyes darkened. His usual goofy grin vanished.
"What's wrong? Gonna cry, kid?" Buggy mocked.
Luffy clenched his fists, trembling with rage. "This hat… was given to me by Shanks."
Buggy's eyes twitched at the name. "That bastard Shanks?!"
Luffy's fury boiled over. "You can call me anything you want. But don't—ever—touch my hat and insult my savior, Shanks."
Buggy let out a bitter laugh. "You have no idea what Shanks took from me!"
Years ago, Buggy and Shanks were apprentices on the same pirate crew. During a chaotic looting raid, Buggy stumbled upon a treasure map. True to his greedy nature, he decided to keep it a secret while plotting his grand escape. But fate had other ideas.
Their crew had also stolen a Devil Fruit, and Buggy, ever the schemer, pretended to eat it in front of everyone, secretly planning to sell it for millions. Just as he was about to execute his perfect heist, Shanks walked in.
"Buggy, what are you doing?" Shanks asked, his voice startling him.
In a panic, Buggy fumbled—and accidentally swallowed the Devil Fruit whole. He screamed in horror as the real treasure map slipped from his grasp and blew into the ocean. Now unable to swim, he could only watch helplessly as his dreams of untold riches sank into the abyss.
Back in the present, Buggy's eyes locked onto Nami as she sneaked away with his treasure.
"YOU LITTLE THIEF!" he roared.
He activated his Bara Bara Festival, his body parts exploding in every direction to stop her. But before he could reach her, Luffy smashed a fist into his face, sending him crashing into the dirt. Buggy tried to reassemble, but Nami, quick as ever, tied up most of his limbs with rope, leaving only his head, hands, and feet floating helplessly.
"LET ME GO, YOU WITCH!" Buggy bellowed, his rage boundless.
Luffy grinned, cracked his knuckles, and launched a Gum-Gum Bazooka! With a thunderous BOOM, Buggy soared into the sky like a shooting star, screaming, "CURSE YOU, STRAW HAT! AAAAAAHHHHH—"
His pirate crew scrambled after their captain's trajectory, chasing him into the distance.
With Buggy gone, Nami proudly handed Luffy the Grand Line Map—though she kept all the treasure for herself.
"Alright, deal's a deal. You get the map, I get the money," she said with a smirk.
"Sure!" Luffy replied, unfazed.
As they prepared to leave, the citizens of Orange Town returned—and immediately jumped to the wrong conclusion.
"AHHHH! LOOK AT THE DESTRUCTION! THE PIRATES DID IT!" a random townsfolk shouted.
Luffy turned to Nami. "Hey, do they mean us?"
Nami facepalmed.
An angry mob chased them down the street, pitchforks in hand. But Shu-Shu, the real MVP, leaped into action, barking furiously and blocking the crowd long enough for them to escape.
Later, aboard Nami's ship, Luffy, Nami, and Zoro noticed something.
"Hey, where's Raja?" Luffy asked, scratching his head. They found a note that read, "I'll be back in 10 minutes."
Glancing back at the town, they decided to wait. Meanwhile, Raja stood amid the wreckage, raising his wand dramatically.
"Magic-Magic: Almighty Reparo!" he declared.
A blinding golden light engulfed the town. In just five minutes, every building, street, and shattered rooftop was restored—better than before. The townsfolk, still clutching their pitchforks, stared in stunned silence.
Boodle, the mayor, regained consciousness just in time to see the Buggy Pirates defeated and the town reborn.
A random guy blinked. "Did… did God just fix our town?"
Boodle smirked, clutching a note from Raja that read, "You're welcome." "No. That's just a crazy wizard."
Raja sprinted to the shore, hopped into Luffy's rowboat, and used a burst of magic to speed toward the ship. He caught up just as Luffy waved at him.
"You took your time," Luffy said.
"I was fixing an entire town! What were you doing?" Raja shot back.
"Watching a dog be cool," Luffy grinned.
From the pier, Boodle and Shu-Shu barked and shouted, "THANK YOU, LUFFY! THANK YOU, RAJA!" Luffy's crew waved back, shouting, "Take care of each other!"
Nami, feeling smug, checked her bag of stolen treasure—only to find it empty. Her face twisted into a look of pure horror.
"…You… left all the treasure?!" she shrieked, turning to Luffy.
"Yeah! Wasn't it the people's treasure first?" Luffy replied cheerfully.
Nami grabbed him by the collar and shook him violently. "DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW PIRATES WORK?!"
"But it's the right thing to do!" Luffy protested.
Raja, sipping tea, smirked. "Preach, sister."
Nami whirled on him, fury blazing. "YOU'RE NOT HELPING!"
Raja, ever the prankster, mimicked a priest, sprinkling imaginary holy water. "Greed Demon, leave this woman's body!"
Nami lunged at him, but Raja dodged with a flicker of magic, laughing hysterically.
As they set sail, a shadowed figure on a distant island watched the sea through a spyglass.
