On their way to the room, Rocky was jumping in excitement.
"What are you so excited about?"
Jake was annoyed by Rocky's uneasiness.
"You won't understand it."
Rocky responded.
"Then help me understand."
"I am just excited to hear Aziel's story, that's it."
Rocky continues to skip as they walk.
"Dude be at rest! You'll eventually hear it later, stop showing your excitement in the hallway!"
Jake yelled.
"Whatever dude."
Rocky teased before running to their room.
"You! Hey wait!"
Jake run after Rocky.
"Your friends were like a kids, or I am just assuming they're not because of you?"
Damian asked Aziel.
"Because of me? What do you mean?"
Aziel confused about what Damian was talking about.
"You see, I wasn't really raised in a crowded environment like you did. The only person that I have ever met or talked to was Miss Eleanor, and we usually need to go places to places to ensure our safety. However, when I first met you, you were kind of childish but later on, you became so mature, it's like the child you had in you had vanished during your training."
Damian explained.
"And?"
Aziel didn't get what Damian was trying to say.
"No, it's really nothing. I just thought that it's kind of new experience for me to see how kids your age really behave."
"Oh. So, what do you think?"
"I think it's stupid, but it's not lame. I wish, I had the same childhood as you."
Damian was a bit sad as he recall all the hardships he had suffered together with Eleanor.
"Well, I guess it's not too late to experience it, I mean, look at you. A kid in school together with your kid friends. So, why not live as a kid as well, right?"
"Yes, you're right, but I still need to act my age sometimes and most importantly watch over you."
"Alright, but you also mustn't forget that we are in this together."
Aziel offered a fist bump towards Damian.
"Bet!"
Damian bumps Aziel's fist.
"What was that?"
Both of them asked each other simultaneously, they were confused about what just happened.
"I don't know, it's just reflex, I guess."
"We're in sync for a moment there."
Both Aziel and Damian laugh.
"Hey! Hurry up guys!"
"Yeah! Hurry up so we could sleep already!"
Rocky and Jake came out of the room as they heard the other two laughing in the hallway.
"Alright! Just relax for a bit, man."
All four of them went inside their room and Rocky was the first to jump and lay on his bed, as if he was a child waiting for a bedtime story.
"What are you doing?"
Aziel asked Rocky who's already tucked in with his blanket.
"Waiting for your story, why?"
Rocky replied.
In his frustration, Jake approached Rocky and smack his head before saying.
"Dude! Magic training."
Jake said to Rocky while imitating the yoga for meditation pose.
"Oh, right, I forgot about that. Hehe, My bad."
Rocky playfully laugh as he sat back up.
"You forgot about that? Don't tell me you also forgot to go to the library?"
"Uhhh."
Rocky hesitates to answer the question.
"What was that?"
Aziel raised his brow as he look at Rocky.
"No. They didn't forget to read books this afternoon, but when the commotion erupts, I brought them back in this room."
Damian replied.
"Is that true?"
"Yes that's exactly what happened. Everyone was in panic so Damian decided that we should get back here."
Aziel nodded before sitting in his bed and proceeds to meditate.
"Aziel, what did you really do to them? Why are they so afraid to disobey your orders?"
Damian asked telepathically.
"Hehe. It's because there's a punishment if they disobey."
Aziel smiled while closing his eyes as he responded telepathically.
"Punishment? And what was that? Do you promise to beat them up?"
"What? No! I won't feed them for a day, and they will still do the training. That's the punishment."
Aziel responded with a smirk on his face.
"What!? That's the worst punishment you could give to someone!"
Damian argued.
"But it's working Damian."
"Well, you have a point."
"What are you guys talking about? When are we going to talk about the incident?"
Aziel and Damian opened their eyes in shock as they heard Rocky inserted in their conversation.
"Rocky, you could hear us?"
Aziel who's still in shock, asked Rocky telepathically.
"What do you mean? Of course I could hear you."
Rocky replied verbally.
"Hey dude! Could you shut up? I'm trying to concentrate here!"
Jake angrily replied to Rocky.
"Aziel and Damian was talking a lot as well, why are you only yelling at me?"
"What the fuck are you talking about? You're the only one who's talking and it's annoying!"
Rocky opened his eyes and saw that his three friends were looking at him.
"Huh? Wait… I… I just hear Aziel and Damian talked, didn't you guys?"
Rocky stuttered as he felt like he was being haunted by some sort of ghost's voices that sounds like Aziel and Damian. He was so scared that he was practically shaking in his bed.
"No! I haven't heard any words from them, only you!"
Jake was about to smack Rocky's head again when he was stopped by Aziel.
"Jake, wait. Actually, we did talk. Damian and I are talking telepathically, but I didn't think anyone of you could actually hear our conversation, at least not yet."
"Yeah, and to see that Rocky did really hear us having a conversation is shocking that it made Aziel and I stopped meditating, and tried to talk to Rocky telepathically."
Jake was confused about what Aziel and Damian was talking about.
And the scared Rocky has recovered in his bed.
"Wait. So, you're saying that I wasn't haunted or something? 'sigh' Thank you!"
Rocky release a huge sigh of relief.
"Hold the fork everyone! What the hell are you guys talking about!?"
Jake complained to his friends.
"Jake you still couldn't understand it yet but in due time you will eventually do."
Damian calms Jake down.
"He's right Jake, so what I want you to do for now is you focus on your meditation, maybe you will make it sooner than later."
"Well, I ain't doing it if I don't understand it. So, I should stick to magic training for now."
Jake just shoved it off to the side as he close his eyes and focus all his energy to his magical core.
And everyone returns to meditate in their respective beds.
"Rocky, I want you to just listen for the time being, okay? If you want to speak, just say it using your thoughts. And don't scream, Jake might scold you once again if you do."
Aziel talked to Rocky telepathically.
"…"
Rocky still doesn't know how telepath works so he just shuts his mouth and continue to listen.
"What I am going to tell you right now, actually happens earlier in the dungeon. So, please lend me your ears as I proceed."
"Go on."
Damian responded this time.
"When I got inside the dungeon to look for another clue, I saw a talking beast. He said that he was the dungeon's guardian, or to be more precise, he was the monolith's guardian. The last time we went there, we haven't encounter him, but this time, he was actually waiting for me. Before I met him, I had already acquired the second monolith from the other path and when I was about to get to the third monolith he showed up and launched an attack. He was strong, so strong that I had to go all out."
Aziel paused for a second and lets his story sink in to his companion's thoughts.
"And then what happened?"
Damian asked.
"We had a fierce battle, but I manage to defeat him, barely. Oh, he said his name was Grim and he has an owner. That's it, that's the end of my story."
"Alright, I have a few questions, but answer my first question before I proceed to the real ones."
Damian responded.
"Why are the guards in the capital ordered to guard their positions just before you arrive? Is that also because of you?"
"Uhhhh. Maybe?"
Aziel replied hesitantly.
"Answer properly!"
Damian snapped.
"Yes, I think so, because when I was leaving the dungeon, one of the guards saw me flew and headed this way."
"You stupid kid!"
"Alright! I'm sorry for making another mistake!"
Aziel closed his eyes tightly, afraid that maybe another smack was coming his way.
"You! 'sigh' We'll deal with that later. So, here's my real questions. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO ENGAGE WITH AN ENEMY LIKE THAT!? AND WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO HARDHEADED!?"
Damian yelled to Aziel, telepathically.
Rocky flinched even though he had his eyes closed, listening to them both is intense that he doesn't know what to feel.
"I'm really sorry Damian, I just really want to get to the bottom of this betrayal thing. After getting the second monolith, wouldn't it be a waste of opportunity if I leave the third one behind? And fighting that beast wasn't really included in my plan. It's just that I was really in a tight spot at that time."
Aziel pleaded to Damian.
"You shouldn't apologize to me!"
Damian didn't accept his apology.
"You're right, don't worry, I'll go talk to her about it later."
"YOU SHOULD!"
Damian ones again yelled to Aziel.
"What!?"
Jake practically scream after hearing Damian.
"Why would you scream in my ear like that, dude!?"
Jake opened his eyes and saw that his three companions had their eyes closed, but Rocky immediately understood that Jake can now hear them telepathically.
Using this information, Rocky played with Jake's feelings by scaring him.
Rocky changed his voice into a deeper, and scarier one before talking to Jake telepathically.
"Why are you always hurting your friends??? If you won't stop it, I will come to your dreams every night and haunt you for the rest of your life."
Aziel caught Rocky's plan immediately and follow through.
"And stop complaining about the training."
Jake was now sweating buckets because of fear.
"Ye… yes! I will stop training and complain to my friends by hurting them! Please just leave me alone!"
Jake scream and hide under his blanket. He didn't know that he had his sentence scrambled due to fear.
Suddenly he hears Aziel and Rocky laughed, and Damian as well.
Peeking from his blanket, Jake saw his companions looking at him with their hands covering their mouths.
"What the FUCK is wrong with you people!?"
Jake jumps from his bed, and his face was red in color due to embarrassment.
"WAHAHAHA!"
Aziel, Rocky, and Damian laughed simultaneously.
