Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Massive Achievement Explosion—What Do You Mean Voldemort Had a Breakdown?

Dusk had fallen, and the Forbidden Forest was shrouded in thick darkness.

Dylan's figure stood out starkly in the deathly silent land. He trudged forward, his steps uneven on the grassy terrain. Not far away, a unicorn lay partially on the ground, occasionally lifting its neck to glance at him.

On the grass, the unicorn's blood trickled in winding streams. The dark, almost black hue of the liquid seemed tainted by an endless curse.

Dylan slowly crouched down, his hands trembling—not out of fear, but due to a complex mix of emotions surging within him.

This was the innate reaction of a living being sensing the malice from a cursed unicorn's blood.

**"Wingardium Leviosa!"**

Dylan used his magic to gather the blood. A chill crept through his magic, seeping straight into his soul.

Controlling the Levitation Charm, he began collecting the blood, carefully scooping it into a brand-new ceramic jar.

Every drop that landed in the jar carried an unsettling malevolence. The liquid trembled slightly, as if it had a life of its own, trying to escape its confinement.

Once he had collected every last drop of blood from the surrounding area, Dylan stood up and turned to look at the unicorn, which had managed to barely stand on its own.

**"Time to say goodbye."** Dylan shook the jar lightly and smirked. **"Thanks for your generosity."**

**"Neighhh…"** The unicorn responded.

After spending so much time communicating with Coalball, Dylan had developed a decent understanding of how magical creatures expressed themselves, even if he couldn't interpret their cries perfectly.

**"Worried that Voldemort will come after me?"**

Dylan chuckled. **"Don't worry. Voldemort won't know who I am—unless you tell someone about me."**

He paused briefly before adding, **"Besides, compared to the time of the Elven Rebellion, Voldemort is much easier to deal with now."**

**"So don't worry about me. Just focus on healing. Hopefully, the next time I visit, I can collect even more of your blood."**

Dylan grinned mischievously.

The unicorn gave the heavily wrapped-up human child a look of utter disdain.

Dressed like that, even if it wanted to describe him to others, how would it do so?

What would it say? That it saw a pair of hands casting dozens of dark spells in quick succession, defeating a demon, and saving its life?

**"Neighhh!"** The unicorn lifted its head and motioned toward Dylan with its chin, as if urging him to leave.

**"You're in such a hurry to kick me out? Come on, I'm not even drawing your blood right now."** Dylan pouted before flicking his wand. Several potion bottles appeared between them.

**"This is a blood-replenishing potion. This one is Murtlap Essence, though your wounds are mostly healed, so it'll just help with the pain."**

One by one, Dylan poured the potions onto the unicorn's body.

**"And this—calming draught. It's not easy to brew, you know. I gave one bottle to someone else before."**

**"He didn't want to accept it at first, but I bet he used it after taking it home. He was noticeably less grumpy when he lectured me later."**

As he spoke, Dylan casually ran his hands along the unicorn's body, occasionally plucking a few strands of its mane.

Unicorn hair—highly valuable for potion-making.

**"Look at you, shedding so much fur. Seriously."** Dylan shot the unicorn a sidelong glance. **"Guess I'll just have to help clean it up for you."**

At first, the unicorn resisted his touch, visibly reluctant.

But after a weak attempt at protesting, Dylan smacked its hindquarters.

The unicorn nearly lost its mind in outrage, wanting to fight back.

But…

It couldn't win.

Defeated, it had no choice but to submit to Dylan's overbearing presence, snorting twice in grievance before lowering its head obediently.

It let Dylan apply the colorful, strangely scented potions to its wounds.

**"Alright, that should do it."** Dylan finished applying the potions and collected the empty bottles.

Just then, a voice called out from a distance, urgent and alarmed.

**"Who's there?! What are you doing to that unicorn?! I'm warning you, stop right now! Otherwise, I'll report you to Headmaster Dumbledore! You won't get away!"**

Dylan looked up, immediately recognizing the deep, booming voice—it was Hagrid.

Clearly, despite the dual-layered Silencing Charms cast by Quirrell and himself, the commotion had still drawn the attention of the gamekeeper.

The unicorn turned its head briefly, listening, then glanced at Dylan. **"Neighhh?"**

**"Relax. I'm still wearing my invisibility cloak. Hagrid won't find me."** Dylan grinned and tucked his hands back into his sleeves.

A second later, he vanished completely.

**"Next time, I hope you'll let me study your holy magic, little one. See you around."**

**"Neighhh?!"**

**Little one?!**

The unicorn was dumbfounded. Who was he calling **little one**?!

It had no idea if Dylan was still there, so it waited a moment. When it heard nothing, it slowly supported itself and limped toward Hagrid's voice.

Dylan watched from the shadows as the unicorn met up with Hagrid, who immediately threw himself at the blood-soaked creature, checking it over with panic.

To his surprise, however, there were no wounds to be found. He looked utterly bewildered.

**"Did you… beat off whoever attacked you?"**

The unicorn was *this close* to losing it.

Why did everyone keep calling it **little one**?! It was not small!

And—what did he mean by **beat off whoever attacked it**?!

Well… okay, technically, it *had* been attacked. But the phrasing was all wrong!

**"Neighhh!"**

Dylan smirked as he observed for a moment longer before quietly slipping away from the Forbidden Forest.

Tonight had been an incredibly rewarding trip. He couldn't wait to get back and review all his newly unlocked achievements.

Wearing his high-end invisibility cloak, which had cost him a hefty sum, Dylan skillfully avoided Filch's patrols, moving like a shadow as he hurried back to his dorm.

**"Good thing I had that divination foresight before bed. If I had missed this opportunity, I wouldn't have gotten these unicorn materials… or the chance to smack Voldemort around."**

Thanks to Quirrell's interference, he had managed to befriend the unicorn, securing a stable source of rare materials.

And after giving Voldemort a proper beating and rescuing the unicorn, he had unlocked a whole bunch of achievements!

Not to mention—he had successfully completed his advanced training for the Cruciatus Curse.

After casting a cleaning spell on himself, Dylan collapsed onto his bed, deciding not to summon Coalball tonight.

—The little guy was probably already fast asleep with Arnold.

Lying back, Dylan opened his system interface.

Several achievement notifications had popped up when he was pummeling Voldemort and Quirrell earlier.

But at the time, he had been too busy focusing on unleashing a barrage of dark magic, making sure he didn't embarrass himself in front of *Little V.*

In the end, though…

Right now, *Little V* was utterly powerless—completely and totally *pathetic*.

 **[Achievement]: Attack the Professor (III)**

**[Description]**: Evil, ruthless, arrogant, and flamboyant! With a mere flick of your wand, you unleash forty-four dazzling Dark Magic spells upon the academy professor, allowing them to experience the blissful pleasure of teetering on the edge of death. You're practically a saint!

**[Unlock Requirement]**: Attack an academy professor using an Unforgivable Curse.

**[Achievement Reward]**: +1 Max-Level Dark Magic

---

Dylan's vision darkened.

"Dark magic... again?"

At least the previous **Attack the Professor** achievements had rewarded him with beginner and intermediate spells.

He had hoped that this time he'd receive at least one high-level spell, but instead, it turned out to be more Dark Magic.

"Oh well, whatever. I already know so many Dark Magic spells—one more won't make a difference." Dylan shook his head and accepted it without hesitation.

By now, his magical prowess had advanced significantly. He was no longer the same novice who had merely mastered a few max-level Dark Magic spells.

At this point, he no longer felt anxious about learning more Dark Magic—after all, no one in the academy could detect it anyway.

Besides, he wasn't the type to let Dark Magic's side effects corrupt his mind. So to Dylan, any spell—so long as it was max-level—was incredibly useful.

With just one max-level spell, he could infer and quickly master many others.

He had already tested this method—and it worked remarkably well.

"Next one."

Dylan continued reading.

---

### **[Achievement]: You Insulted the Dark Lord to His Face**

**[Description]**: You reckless little wizard! Standing before the infamous Lord Voldemort, you actually had the audacity to point at his face and hurl insults!—Oh, wait, he doesn't have a nose~

**[Unlock Requirement]**: Infuriate Voldemort to the point of breaking his composure!

**[Achievement Reward]**: Max-Level Spell—**Humicurse (Rapid Shame)**!

---

"I only mocked Little Voldy and Quirrell a couple of times, and that was enough to break him? No way..."

Dylan didn't think his words had been particularly vicious.

—He had held back a lot, okay?!

He didn't want to **literally** enrage Voldemort to death!

If Voldemort revived through his Horcruxes, that would be a real hassle—Dylan wouldn't even be able to farm achievements from him anymore.

"Oh well, it just proves that Little Voldy is exactly that—**little**. Such a fragile ego."

Dylan ignored the system's exaggerated description.

Sometimes, this thing really talked nonsense.

He turned his attention to the achievement reward.

"Humicurse?"

As the information about the spell flooded into his mind, Dylan suddenly understood.

"...Wait, this is supposed to be a **Shame Curse**? More like a **Humiliation Curse**!"

The corner of Dylan's mouth twitched.

This spell was somewhat similar to **Rictusempra (The Tickling Charm)**—both could forcibly manipulate a person's emotional state.

But while **Rictusempra** caused uncontrollable laughter...

**Humicurse**—

Dylan's mind filled with a vivid image of the spell in action.

Voldemort hovered high in the sky, his signature black robes billowing wildly in the eerie winds.

Dylan cast **Humicurse** at him.

Then—

Voldemort's once twisted, menacing expression **froze**.

His arrogantly raised chin gradually lowered.

All traces of malice and cruelty vanished, replaced by **deep sorrow**.

Wrinkles of regret surfaced on his grotesque face, making him look... disturbingly bizarre.

His lips trembled, his voice quivering with the edge of a sob.

**"Oh! I'm so sorry!"**

**"I killed so many people—hundreds of them! I'm absolutely wicked! I feel so ashamed!"**

**"Please, insult me! Do it mercilessly!"**

Dylan snapped out of the horrifying yet absurd mental image and smacked his lips.

"As expected! This spell is completely ridiculous! How is this a **Shame Curse**? Shame is shame—why the hell is he **begging me** to insult him?!"

He sighed internally.

"Also, as a **Dark Lord**, he's only killed **a few hundred people**? What a disappointment."

Thinking of his own record, Dylan decided Voldemort should go sit with LeBlanc's group.

Go drink some juice or something.

Jokes aside, though, Dylan was actually quite interested in this spell.

Unlike **Rictusempra**, which merely forced someone to laugh, **Humicurse** directly **tampered with the target's mind**.

And there weren't many spells capable of doing that.

A handful existed—like the **Imperius Curse, Obliviate, and Confundus Charm**...

And every single one of them was immensely powerful.

This **Humicurse**...

It might **look** like a joke, but in real combat, this was undoubtedly a **devastating weapon**!

Dylan took a deep breath, easing the slight headache caused by learning yet another max-level spell.

Then, he turned his attention to the next Dark Mag—no, the next achievement he had unlocked.

"I swear, my brain is fried at this point." Dylan pursed his lips.

**[Achievement]: Dunking on Voldemort!**

**[Description]: Will the new Dark Lord ultimately put an end to the legend of the old Dark Lord? As expected, no one can remain invincible forever—not even a Dark Lord!**

**[Unlock Requirement]: Defeat Voldemort and reduce him to a pathetic, fleeing rat!**

**[Achievement Reward]: *Notes on Dark Parasite Analysis***

———

"A book?"

Dylan was momentarily stunned.

He glanced at the title of the book, pausing slightly.

*Dark Parasite—Analysis Notes?*

"Is this about how to perform dark parasitism?"

Hearing the word "parasite," Dylan immediately thought of Voldemort.

"Even though it's just a book, I bet the content is pretty valuable."

Dylan didn't take the book out right away. No matter how interested he was, it was already late at night.

He loved studying, but that didn't mean he was going to get up in the middle of the night to read.

Skipping over a few minor achievements—mostly just ones that rewarded him with Galleons—

His eyes quickly scanned past them and landed on the last achievement.

———

**[Achievement]: Scamming a Unicorn**

**[Description]: Many have tried to deceive a unicorn, but you're one of the rare few who actually succeeded!**

**[Unlock Requirement]: Use masterful deception to swindle a unicorn and obtain materials from it.**

**[Achievement Reward]: Sacred Unicorn Blood (10ml)**

———

"Sacred Unicorn?" Dylan blinked. "Is this just a fancy name for an ordinary unicorn, or is it actually a unique type?"
