Now, there wasn't even a trace of it left.
For many shinobi, today was a day of revelations. They had witnessed a Tailed Beast for the first time, only to see it swiftly reduced to nothing—by a single Chunin.
But did Uchiha Tatsumi truly kill Shukaku?
Of course not. The Tailed Beasts are resilient, their existence far beyond mere mortality. The moment the Lightning Release struck, Shukaku instinctively used its own body to absorb the majority of the impact. If it had returned to its Jinchuriki's body at that moment, the Jinchuriki would have undoubtedly perished, and Shukaku itself would have been temporarily sealed away.
Instead, Shukaku made the choice to endure the attack directly.
Although it survived, its body was shattered.
And as expected, from beneath the heap of sand, a charred hand emerged.

That mistake turned the tide of battle.
The momentum shifted, and suddenly, the Konoha forces struck back with renewed aggression. The casualty ratio flipped in an instant.
Amidst the chaos, Hyuga Tenku smirked from a distance. His voice carried across the battlefield, taunting Chiyo.
"Chiyo, this war is already over. Your Tailed Beast couldn't even handle a kid. What a disgrace to the Tailed Beasts! Hahaha!"
Despite his injuries, Tenku still stood tall, surrounded by his fellow Hyuga. His Byakugan was unusable due to the forbidden technique he had employed, but he refused to show weakness. Though blood had been wiped from his eyes, pain still lingered in his expression.
But now, at least he could breathe easy.
Despite the heavy casualties inflicted by Shukaku, the battle had shifted in Konoha's favor. Sunagakure had lost its last trump card. Victory was within reach.
And the one who had turned the tide?
Not a legendary hero. Not a Kage. Not even a Jonin.
A mere Chunin—Uchiha Tatsumi.
At this moment, Hyuga Tenku couldn't afford to dwell on his shock at the boy's strength. What mattered was ensuring that their newfound advantage wasn't lost.
He issued a simple command to his forces.
"Protect him."
"At all costs."
And so, the battle for Uchiha Tatsumi's survival began.
