Otto thanked Greyson for his kind words of encouragement. And to Blaine's surprise Otto had made a new friend. Blaine then thought to himself " I thought it would take some time and effort for him to make a new friend. But to think he would get one so soon, and in the same day in fact. Either way, I'm glad he's making progress so quickly." Seeing Otto happy made him happy as well.
The three of them went to the table and got some drinks together and some light snacks in a fancy looking glass-plate. As they were about to dig in, someone called out to Blaine which immediately got his attention and he turned around. The person who called out to him was Valerie. She was with her twin sister and Janika.
"Hey Mr. Blaine." Valerie raised her hand and waved.
"Oh, it's Ms. Valerie. I was thinking who that was." Blaine put down his plate on the table and thought internally.
"I see you got here before us." Valerie looked at Blaine and said with a gentle voice.
"Ah, yes. I just had to put my things in my room and made my way here." Blaine replied with a slight nod.
"I see" she weakly chuckled.
Otto and Greyson who were standing behind Blaine got her attention.
"Oh my, you made friends already? And here I thought I would get to be you one and only." She looked away and said with a sad expression.
"What…? What did she mean by that?" He thought internally having no idea as to what her words meant.
"Ah…" He had a confused expression.
"I'm just playing with you." She looked back at him and chuckled.
"Oh, I see…" He was still confused but nodded and chuckled back.
"She was just joking. And here I was about to decipher her words." He thought internally and slightly smiled.
"Anyway, are you going to introduce me to your friends?" She asked and had a grin on her face.
"Ah, yes. This is…" He looked and extended his left hand in Greyson's direction.
"I am Greyson Lawrence Orion. It is an honor to finally meet you." Greyson stepped forward, bowed his head in a show of respect and introduced himself.
"Oh… you know about me?" Valerie asked in amusement.
"Of course. Who wouldn't. A genius prodigy from her generatio. Able to control her mana and use magic at the age of 5. And a twin sister who is just as capable. Who could possibly don't know about you." Greyson said with admiration.
"What else did you expect? My sister is amazing." Eudora said with no expression and being proud on the inside.
"Yes, that's true." Greyson replied back with a nod.
*Gasp*
Greyson eyes rolled towards Janika. He gasped and said "It's an honor to meet you as well, Ms. Janika! Please Forgive me! I didn't see you there!"
"It's fine. I was standing in the back anyway." Janika replied back.
"Anyway, how are you doing so far Blaine?" She moved towards Blaine and asked.
"Well, I'm doing good. But I can't say much because the classes haven't started yet. So, you know…" Blaine responded back after thinking of his experiences so far in the academy.
"If you're having any troubles come to me, got it?" Janika looked at Blaine and said with worry but made sure to not show it on her face.
"Sure, got it!" Blaine replied back with a calm smile.
Everyone continued on to enjoy the Banquet and it's food and drinks.
The Banquet went on until evening.
After it ended, every student went back to their dorm rooms and had a good night's sleep because the next day their classes and their lives as the students of The Academy of Magic would begin.
