"The Power of Determination"
"Who are you guys?" "Usopp and the Galley-La Company workers asked, noticing the intrusion of the three newcomers.
"We're from the bounty hunters' guild. Someone contacted us to help you out," "said Kara calmly.
"The guild? Did Iceburg hire you?" "asked the guy named Pauly quickly.
"Who's that?" "asked Kara. But Chopper quickly interrupted.
"Yeah. Something like that," "he said hastily.
"Then it's fine. It's great to have someone from the guild, especially looking so strong," "said Pauly while looking at Chopper". "But, why are you green?"
"He's a vegetarian," "Kara replied quickly". "He's one with nature."
"Really?" "they asked quickly.
Chopper could only nod.
Meanwhile, Nami was staring at the new companions who had joined.
"Just because you say you're from the bounty hunters' guild, we don't have to believe you unless you show your credential," "said Nami quickly as she approached with suspicion, though looking at the three of them made them seem somewhat familiar.
Hearing that they needed to show their credentials, Zoro and Chopper hesitated, but Kara quickly pulled out a card and handed it to Nami.
"They're an S-Rank group!" "said Nami surprised when she looked at the corner of the card Kara gave her.
But Nami was mistaken. Kara was actually an S-Rank member. In the bounty hunters' guild, there are rank divisions to accept missions. The more difficult the mission, the higher the rank required. And S-Rank is the highest rank that can be achieved.
There are two types of S-Rank in the guild. The S-Rank groups, which require all their members to be present to fulfill an S-Rank mission. There are several groups of that rank; most have more than 10 or 20 members to reach that level. But then, there are the S-Rank Solo Members. These are the most powerful members of the guild.
It is said there are only a dozen of these solo S-Ranks, who have at least the same level as the Shichibukai. And well, after all, the known Shichibukai who work for the guild are S-Rank, and Kara, of course, is an S-Rank member.
"Of course," "said Kara, leaving Nami confused. After all, the S-Rank members were all well-known, as they were constantly monitored by various forces that wanted them to join them. Except for Kara, who was the hidden president. As for the S-Rank groups, they didn't matter much since they were strong together, but not so much when separated.
"Only you three are coming? What happened to your group?" "asked Nami quickly.
"Hiring us is quite expensive, so they could only afford the three of us," "said Kara quickly with a smile, although it couldn't be seen under her mask.
"Really? Do you earn well? Can I join you?" "Nami asked quickly.
"Hey Nami, you're my nakama!" "Luffy said quickly with anger.
"Sorry. I got carried away," "Nami said as she softly hit her head.
"By the way, you... you look like someone I know," "Luffy said as he approached Kara and looked at her with suspicion". "Well, it doesn't matter," "he said calmly. Then he looked at Zoro standing with his samurai armor and a mask". "Amazing! You're a legendary samurai!" "Luffy said quickly, approaching him with excitement.
"Well... something like that," "Zoro replied, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
"Incredible! You even have your samurai swords, your samurai outfit, and your samurai mask..." "he said, realizing that the mask didn't match the armor at all, but he didn't care and quickly got distracted by the food they brought.
"Great! I need to regain my energy with meat," "he said while starting to eat quickly.
Meanwhile, Kara was holding back from hitting her brother.
While Luffy ate, the others were arguing heatedly, but Kara wasn't paying attention since she was just calmly looking out the window.
"The Franky Family, the Galley-La carpenters, and the bounty hunters… We've had a lot of trouble in the city, but now we all have a common enemy… Among the next ones we're going to fight, the pigeon guy is one of the strongest. I'll personally give him a good beating," "said Luffy seriously, showing himself as the pirate captain he should be.
This caught Kara's attention, and she looked at her brother with a smile.
"Rob Lucci," "said Kara, making everyone look at her in confusion.
"What?" "asked Nami quickly.
"The pigeon guy. His name is Rob Lucci. They say he's the strongest member in CP9's history. It's said that he's only ever tasted defeat once," Kara said calmly.
"If he was defeated, then he's not that strong," Zoro replied.
"Well, that's subjective. It depends on who you face. For example, if you face Hawk-Eye before becoming the strongest swordsman, it means you're not as strong as you think you are," Kara said while looking at Zoro, who felt a slight irritation, but it made sense.
"Then who did he lose to?" Chopper asked.
"A beautiful and sexy marine who, after he killed more than 500 soldiers who were taken hostage by pirates, saying that surrendering to pirates made them nothing but criminals. She had also been sent to capture those pirates, so she beat him to the point of nearly killing him. But the Government quickly intervened, saving him," Kara said with a smile.
"Kara!??" Luffy said in surprise.
"Aah! Grandma! Grandma, it's Aqua Laguna!" shouted a green-haired girl with her pet, both of them looking out the window with joy.
"Chimney, let me see!" Nami quickly said, leaning out the window. "This is dangerous! Ms. Kokoro, shouldn't you be at the helm right now?" she asked quickly, with a bit of fear.
"Hahaha, I told you, didn't I? The Rocket Man is uncontrollable… The brakes don't work," the old woman said cheerfully. "My job was only to attach it to the rails… The train just goes full speed all the time. It can't be stopped."
"Luffy, we have to do something!" Nami quickly said. But Luffy ignored her as he stared intently at everyone else.
"It doesn't matter who this pigeon guy is. Now, we're all a team," he said as he put his hand forward for the Galley-La guys and the Franky Family to make peace. Chopper had to act as Kara's representative.
"Listen. Now we're allies. Our nakamas are on the first Umi Ressha. Our united forces are even stronger… Guys, we won't be defeated by some waves! We're going to achieve all our goals!" he said as they split up, and the Franky Family quickly ran to the front cannons. At the same time, the Galley-La Company members also used their weapons and strongest attacks, but it didn't make any difference to the giant wave approaching.
Kara hadn't noticed, but it seemed the old woman named Kokoro was scaring the kids along with Chopper, who had joined at some point, and the three of them were screaming in fear while running around everywhere.
Nami, who was talking to Sanji through the transponder snail, quickly grew furious and shouted at them:
"Shut up already!"
Kara saw Luffy preparing to climb to the roof of the train, so she nudged Zoro.
"Go give him a hand. Show off some of your training," Kara quickly said, to which Zoro nodded and walked calmly behind Luffy.
Meanwhile, Kara simply leaned out to watch with interest. Although she could easily break the wave, it wouldn't be good to take all the credit. She needed to let others have their moments to shine.
"Hey, you guys keep firing!" Zoro shouted while drawing both his swords from their sheaths. "Looks like I'll have to do this with just two," he muttered to himself.
"What are you planning to do?" Pauly shouted.
"Fire a cannon," Zoro replied calmly as he took his stance.
Meanwhile, Luffy was also preparing.
"Are you sure you can do this, samurai?" Luffy asked.
"This is easy. I can launch a 72-pound attack," Zoro replied calmly.
"72? So, what's 72 times 2?" Luffy asked.
"144," Zoro replied.
"144 is too long and hard to say," Luffy quickly said.
"Do whatever you want then."
"Alright, then let's make it 300. I like that number," Luffy said as he spun one of his hands rapidly and then began to punch with both hands, increasing his speed each time.
"Sure. Anyway, I'm not using all my power," Zoro said, nodding easily. After all, he wasn't using his three swords.
"300-Pound Cannon!" they both shouted as they unleashed their attack, creating a hole in the center of the wave to everyone's surprise.
Meanwhile, Kara smiled as she watched. "Maybe I was wrong, and these guys can handle all the work."
