Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: The Enchanting Madame Natalie

Chapter 87: The Enchanting Madame Natalie

While Coulson was on the phone reporting the situation, Tony went to the workshop to remove his Iron Man suit and asked George:

"When are we making our move?"

"If possible, we'll act tomorrow."

Since they had decided to take the initiative, the sooner, the better.

"Alright, I'll add some new weapons to the suit tonight."

Tony nodded. The press conference was still a few days away, so he had time.

Also, after seeing Wolverine fight with his claws earlier, Tony thought it was a great idea. He planned to add a pair of alloy claws to his suit that could extend during combat for close-quarters combat.

Oh, and he could add a neural-paralyzing electric shock module to deal with mutants like Wolverine, who were immune to conventional weapons.

Meanwhile, after finishing his call and reporting the situation, Coulson organized his pistol and spare magazines.

However, as he did so, he noticed something unusual. His magazines were completely full, and he hadn't used a single spare magazine.

"This... what's going on?"

It made sense that he hadn't fired a shot in the mansion, so his ammo was untouched. But before that, he had single-handedly taken down so many enemies.

As a seasoned agent, his intuition told him that something was off about that earlier fight.

Returning to the mansion, Coulson noticed that George was no longer there.

Not wanting to alert anyone, he didn't ask further questions, deciding to investigate later.

The next day, the X-Jet hovered invisibly above Tony's mansion once again.

This time, besides Wolverine, George had also brought Caliban.

He suspected that Rice's headquarters would have newly cloned mutants, and bringing Caliban would at least give them an idea of how many clones there were before the attack, so they could prepare mentally.

"Such an old jet, yet it has this kind of performance and even an invisibility device. It seems you X-Men had some pretty skilled people back in the day."

Tony, wearing his Iron Man suit, flew into the jet, removed his helmet, and looked around with admiration.

Whoever invented such an advanced jet back then was undoubtedly a genius.

While he didn't hold much admiration for superpowered individuals like George and Wolverine, no matter how strong they were, he did feel a sense of camaraderie with those who excelled in technology.

At the same time, he considered whether to add an invisibility feature to his suit in future upgrades, but he quickly dismissed the idea.

If he added invisibility, wouldn't that mean doing things in secret? That wasn't his style.

"His name is Beast, and he's indeed a very smart guy."

Wolverine's face showed a hint of nostalgia as he spoke.

George then walked over, briefly introduced Caliban, and they began discussing their battle strategy.

"I suspect Rice might have cloned Magneto. Until we know the clone's strength, you two should hold back to avoid being targeted.

I'll take the lead, and you two support."

Tony's Iron Man suit and Logan's adamantium skeleton were too vulnerable to Magneto's powers.

If there was a Magneto clone, George would need to eliminate it first to allow the other two to fight effectively.

"Last night, I also considered the issue you mentioned, so I added non-metallic special bullets to my suit for long-range sniping.

Actually, I have a plan..."

Although he was here to help, Tony wasn't the type to let others dictate the battle. He had his own ideas about how to proceed.

After listening to Tony's battle strategy, George didn't object. He only made a few suggestions in certain areas, as Tony lacked some crucial information, which made his plan flawed.

George was a magician, not a strategist.

Since Tony was good at making battle plans, and George thought his plan was indeed better, there was no reason to reject it.

As long as the goal was achieved, George didn't care who came up with the plan.

He wasn't into personal heroism or showing off. If he ever did, it was always for a specific purpose.

"If you agree, then let's proceed. By the way, you still haven't told me where their headquarters is."

Seeing his plan approved by George, Tony looked pleased. He was clearly the brains of this operation.

But the next second, his expression froze.

"I don't know yet."

George smiled and shrugged.

"What? We're about to head out, and you're telling me you don't know where the enemy is?"

Tony stared at George in disbelief.

"Are you messing with me?"

"I don't know now, but I will soon. I have an ability that can track the enemy's location."

George then walked to the co-pilot's seat of the jet, sat down, and began casting a tracking spell.

"Point Me!"

As the spell completed, a golden arrow made of powder appeared in front of George.

Following the arrow's direction, Isa adjusted the X-Jet's course and accelerated to full speed.

Tony, sitting in the cabin, looked at the golden arrow in front of George and couldn't help but exclaim:

"Do all mutants have so many superpowers?"

As far as he remembered, according to the information on mutants, most mutants only awakened one ability, and having two was extremely rare.

But in his impression, George had already displayed five or six abilities.

"He's an exception. Apart from one guy with his mouth sewn shut, he's the first mutant I've seen with so many abilities."

Wolverine shrugged. Sometimes he wondered if Dr. Rice had fused all the abilities of every mutant in history into George's body.

At the same time, on the rooftop of a large base at the northwestern tip of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, a helicopter slowly descended.

"Hello, beautiful Madame Natalie. I'm Sandor Rice from Aklay Genetics. You are even more stunning than the rumors say!"

Sandor Rice, watching the red-haired beauty with a nearly perfect figure step off the helicopter, couldn't help but light up. He immediately stepped forward with a gentlemanly demeanor to compliment her.

As the owner of Aklay Genetics, he had seen all kinds of beautiful women, but today's Madame Natalie was truly different.

Her every smile and gesture seemed to carry a special charm, evoking a desire to conquer her. She was undoubtedly a top-tier beauty.

What set her apart from ordinary women was her identity.

The woman, named Natalie Vojanova, was the widow of Oakley, one of the largest raw material suppliers for his genetics company. Oakley had died unexpectedly a month ago.

Through her remarkable skills, Madame Natalie had taken control of all her husband's assets.

The key point was that Natalie and Oakley had been married for less than a week.
