Melanie.
I scream loudly, my eyes shut tight. Pate falling limp on me.
"Melanie! Melanie!" I hear amidst my hysteria. My hands tugged. "Melanie, It's me, Malachi!"
I stop yelling, opening my eyes. I come face to face with the tender golden eyes of Malachi, my husband. Malachi is here. Am safe.
Instantly, I fall into his arms, kissing him. Not giving an inch of space between us. I press my lips tightly into his, drawing comfort from him. Drawing strength from his warm lips, as he kisses me back. I crack inside his arms, sobbing harshly.
Malachi holds me tight. His hands caress me, soothingly. I bury my face inside his chest, crying.
"It's okay, Baby. Am here. I've got you, Baby. Am here." His reassuring voice rings in my ears, sink into my frightened heart, as he presses his cheek against my head. I hold him for my dear life. I hold him because he is the only solid thing I own in my life, since my entire family died.
