Chapter 156 - 48. The Judgment of Shido Koichi

"Little Moe, go drive the bus!" Sora said to Shizuka as he boarded the school bus.

"But, hubby, this isn't like my car!" Shizuka hesitated, peeking her head out from the driver's seat.

"It's fine, you can learn as you go," Sora replied nonchalantly, clearly wanting to keep Shizuka occupied.

In the past, such a terrifying suggestion would have left most of the girls in the bus pale with fear, but now their faces were flushed, perhaps reminiscing about the earlier excitement or imagining their own heroic moments.

"Oh, I see! Hubby is so smart!" Shizuka exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "Hmm… this is the accelerator, this is the brake, this is the clutch…"

She quickly returned to the driver's seat, eager to figure it out.

"Tenth Sword, are you okay? How are you feeling?" Sora asked, pulling the short-haired girl he had just contracted into his arms as he sat next to Miyamoto Rei.

"Master, why can't I stop the tears from flowing?" the girl asked, clinging tightly to Sora, her heart filled with confusion. She couldn't remember anything, yet she felt an overwhelming sadness, as if she had lost something important.

"Even though the memories in your mind are gone, the memories in your heart remain. It's okay, cry if you need to. It will get better with time," Sora said gently, stroking her back. Though he had erased her memories, some things couldn't be erased—only time could heal them.

"Waaah…" With Sora's permission, the girl finally broke down, sobbing uncontrollably in his arms.

The other girls in the bus remained silent, feeling both sympathy and joy for the Tenth Sword. They didn't question Sora's actions; they only knew that he had given the Tenth Sword a new life, just as he had given them new lives. Their only duty was to serve by his side and follow his lead.

"Ha! Shizuka figured it out! Everyone, we can go now!" Shizuka exclaimed. Despite her usual clumsiness, she was surprisingly quick to figure things out in critical moments.

Pressing the accelerator and starting the engine, the school bus roared to life.

"Hehe… Little Moe is so capable! Let's—" Sora was about to give the order to depart when voices suddenly called out from behind the bus.

"Help!!"

"Wait for us!"

"Miss Shizuka, Mr. Hayashi, help us!"

Sighing, Sora showed a hint of impatience and turned to Tomoe Mami, who was sitting by the door.

"Who are they?"

If they were friends or acquaintances of his women, Sora wouldn't mind helping. But if not, there were plenty of other buses around—they could go wherever they wanted, just not on his bus.

"It's Shido from Class 3-A," One of the swords said uncertainly, recognizing the bespectacled man running in the middle.

"Shido!" Hearing the name, Miyamoto Rei immediately stood up, her spear appearing in her hand, her orange eyes blazing with fury and killing intent.

"Heh… it's that guy," Sora said with a smirk, thinking the guy had the worst luck to show up here.

"Go ahead, Rei. You don't have to hold back anymore. Do whatever you want," Sora said softly, patting the seething Miyamoto Rei.

"Understood!" Miyamoto Rei nodded, her voice low, and with a determined look, she jumped off the bus, spear in hand.

"Feel free to watch. It seems we won't be leaving anytime soon," Sora said with a shrug, a hint of interest in his eyes. He leaned out the window to get a better view.

In sight, there were seven people in total, including four boys, one of whom was Shido Koichi, and three girls wearing the sailor uniforms of Fujimi Academy. As for the boys, well, Sora didn't know any of them, nor did he care to.

What caught Sora's attention was that the three girls were the last three of the thirteen he had chosen from all the girls in the school!

Alright, Sora admitted, the world was indeed a strange place. What belonged to him, Sora, was his, and there was no escaping it!

Hmph, since these three foolish girls had delivered themselves to him again, he had no reason not to accept them!

"Everyone, hurry up! We can definitely be saved!"

Just as they were about to reach the school bus, Shido Koichi, who had been running at the front, suddenly stopped and shouted with concern to the six students behind him.

"Yes, teacher!"

The running students were deeply moved, thinking to themselves how right they were to follow Teacher Shido. Even in such a dangerous moment, he was still thinking of them. What a good person!!!

However, these naive boys and girls failed to notice the cold smirk on Shido Koichi's lips…

Although they were very close to the school bus, the stretch of road ahead was also the area with the most monsters. If he didn't let these foolish students test the waters first, how could he safely get through?

Shido Koichi was no good person; he was a standard villain wearing the mask of a good man!

The reason he hadn't run away alone but chose to take them with him was precisely for moments like this!

"Ah!!!"

"Teacher Shido, I've twisted my ankle!"

Just as Shido Koichi was cunningly plotting his scheme, a bespectacled boy who had been running at the back while holding books suddenly fell beside him. The boy looked up in pain and fear, clutching Shido's leg and begging for help.

"Oh? Is that so?"

"Then, you can just wait here to die!"

With his trademark kind and gentle smile, Shido Koichi showed no mercy and kicked the boy in the face.

"Ah!!!"

Clutching his bleeding head in agony, the boy struggled on the ground. Soon, several zombies pounced on him, tearing him to pieces…

"Heh… not bad, that guy."

Everything that had just happened fell into Sora's eyes, and a smirk formed on his lips. To be honest, Sora was somewhat impressed by this guy!

Cunning, shameless, decisive—a hundred percent ruthless character!!!

"But, what will you do next?"

Watching as Miyamoto Rei leaped in front of Shido Koichi, Sora was genuinely curious about what kind of punishment the girl would inflict on him.

 "Miyamoto-san, why are you here?"

As soon as he turned around, Shido Koichi noticed Miyamoto Rei, who had somehow appeared in front of him, holding an orange spear. He spoke with a look of surprise.

"Heh, Teacher Shido, are you surprised? That I'm here and witnessed you harming someone just now?"

With a cold smile, Miyamoto Rei spoke with biting sarcasm.

She would never forget this scoundrel who had framed her, causing her to repeat a grade and forcing her father to kneel and apologize in guilt!!!

"Haha… Miyamoto-san, what are you talking about? That student fell on his own. Although I regret not being able to save him, it's a bad habit to falsely accuse others!"

A hint of panic flashed in his eyes, but Shido Koichi was indeed a talented individual. He quickly composed himself. He thought to himself, "I'll just deny it. Even if you saw it, so what? Others will believe me, not you!"

Of course, if Shido knew that everyone on the bus, except Miyamoto Rei's man, were her sisters, perhaps he wouldn't have thought that way.

"Hmph! Still trying to argue at this point?"

"Well, it doesn't matter what you say now. You're already going to die!"

A cold, bloodthirsty smirk formed on the girl's lips as an endless killing intent erupted from her.

"You… what are you planning? Miyamoto-san, killing is against the law. Don't make a mistake!"

Even as an ordinary person, Shido Koichi was startled by the aura emanating from Miyamoto Rei. Instinctively, he felt a trace of fear. He knew exactly how much this girl hated him!

"Heh… killing? Teacher Shido, do you know how many people I've killed over the years? Especially scum like you—I've killed so, so many!"

"The Spear Princess—that's what people call me. As long as you're not a complete idiot, you should know that, right?"

"And besides, the whole world is now filled with these man-eating monsters. Do you think there's still any law to protect scum like you?"

Licking her cherry-red lips, Miyamoto Rei looked at Shido Koichi as if he were already dead.

At the same time, her words were like sharp swords, piercing the man in his twenties. His usually composed face turned pale.

"The Spear Princess… the Spear Princess, how is that possible? How could you be the Spear…"

His eyes filled with disbelief. As Miyamoto Rei had said, anyone who wasn't a complete idiot knew about the legendary Spear Princess who had eliminated countless villains on Earth!

He couldn't believe it, truly couldn't. But when he saw the spear that had somehow pierced his chest, he believed…

Thud! A sound of blood splattering as Miyamoto Rei pulled out the spear.

"Don't worry, I won't let you die so easily!"

"I'll make you suffer, make you despair, and then let these disgusting monsters eat you bit by bit in endless regret!"

"Hey, Teacher Shido, don't you think these monsters' appearance suits you best?"

Leaning close to Shido Koichi's ear, the girl whispered with a smile.

Then, without hesitation, she turned and left.

"No… save me, save…"

He wanted to reach out and grab Miyamoto Rei as she left, but Shido Koichi found that his body had no strength left.

The girl's spear hadn't taken his life, but it had stripped him of all vitality. Except for his consciousness and sense of pain, his entire body was already dead…

Just as the girl had said, it didn't take long for a large group of zombies to surround him, enveloping this cunning, dark, and twisted man. They tore his body apart, feasting on his flesh and blood, all while he stared in endless fear, resentment, and regret…
