Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: The Sudden Appearance of Angels!

At the same time, the same scene was unfolding all over the world. In New York, USA; London, UK; Moscow, Russia; Beijing, China; and the Vatican's Holy See…

Golden hair, fair skin, snow-white wings, a holy aura, and the halo of divinity and wisdom above their heads.

As people looked at the figure in the pillar of light, a name echoed in their minds—

Angel!

Yes, an angel, a real angel!

Beneath the silver robe was a body and face so perfect that not a single flaw could be found. A faint smile graced their lips as they gazed down upon the world…

In this gray sky, they were the only light!

At this moment, whether man or woman, young or old, believer or atheist, all wore expressions of piety and fervor.

Without a single word, everyone bowed in worship to the figure in the sky, the messenger of God.

The fear that had gripped people moments ago due to the apocalypse was completely gone. It seemed that just by seeing the holy figure, they had been redeemed.

This was the messenger sent by the heavens to save humanity, countless people screamed in their hearts.

However—

Extending their left hand, the angel held a golden bow, engraved with intricate and mysterious patterns. The grip was adorned with a pair of small white wings, exquisite and beautiful, like the most perfect piece of art in the world.

As people bowed in worship, the angel slowly drew the bowstring, aiming at the crowd and the city below. Instantly, countless rays of light gathered from all directions, forming a golden arrow.

With a smile, the angel released the bowstring, and the arrow shot forth…

BOOM!!!

A deafening roar, as if the heavens and earth were being torn apart. A hemispherical energy of destruction spread outward, and in an instant, everything was gone!

At the same time, if one were to observe from space, they would see hundreds of flashes of light appearing simultaneously across the Earth…

"How is this possible? This is… an angel…"

On Soten, the Sekirei girls were still in shock, unable to process what they had just seen. Even the usually carefree Yukari looked as if she had seen a ghost, her mouth hanging open wide enough to fit an egg.

But what shocked the girls even more was that the moment the angel appeared, their Ashikabi, Sora, had already charged toward the angel with his sword in hand!

The purple-gold King's Sword crackled with lightning, and a massive lightning ball, dozens of meters in diameter, formed at the tip of the sword. Just as the pillar of light disappeared and the angel's figure became visible, the enormous lightning ball struck the angel with pinpoint accuracy.

CRACKLE CRACKLE!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

A massive explosion. Under the stunned gazes of the girls, the angel's figure was completely engulfed in the lightning, reduced to specks of starlight…

"Sora… Sora, you… you killed an… angel!"

Looking at Sora, who had already flown back, Yukari stammered in shock. Not just her, all the Sekirei girls wore expressions of disbelief.

Sora's expression remained calm. Instead of answering Yukari, he turned to No. 2 Matsu and No. 22 Kochou and said:

"Matsu, Kochou, transmit the images from around the world to everyone."

"Huh? Oh! Right!"

Snapping out of their shock, Matsu and Kochou quickly responded. Connecting their minds to the satellites in space, their eyes flashed with streams of white data as they transmitted image after image of angels destroying human cities across the globe into the minds of the girls.

"Now you understand, these so-called angels are our final enemies!"

Sora's cold and stern voice echoed in the air, drilling into the minds of every girl.

"How is this possible… Angels are supposed to be messengers of God, guiding and saving suffering people. How could they destroy the world…"

Looking at the lives and towns that had vanished in an instant, the girls' faces turned pale. They couldn't understand why such holy and beautiful angels would do something so terrifying.

"Because God said this world's time has come, so the angels are here to destroy it!"

"But whether it's God or angels, what we must do is defeat them, save this world, and save ourselves!"

Sora's voice was filled with determination and killing intent. The reason he had immediately killed that angel was to shift the girls' mindset.

Those so-called messengers of God, the angels who were supposed to save the suffering, were now their enemies—enemies they had to fight to the death!

Silence fell as the girls struggled internally. They knew their King was right; they had to quickly adjust their mindset. Otherwise, in the battles to come, they wouldn't survive the terrifying arrows of light!

"No matter who the enemy is, if they want to destroy our existence and our home, I will never allow it!"

"Sisters, follow our King and protect this world together!"

As expected of Queen Miya, she not only adapted quickly but also immediately helped rally everyone's spirits.

She was Sora's loyal queen, and no matter what, she would follow his lead without hesitation.

Similarly, all the Sekirei girls were the same. From the moment they formed their contracts, they had already dedicated everything to him.

Even if they were angels, so what? If they dared stand in the way of their King, they would be annihilated!

Seeing the girls recover from their shock and fear, now filled with fighting spirit, Sora's lips curled into a faint smile.

These were his women, his warriors!

"They're coming!"

Putting away his smile, Sora looked at the specks of light shooting toward them from the horizon and warned the girls.

When Sora had killed that angel earlier, the other angels around the world had sensed it. They put away their bows, transformed into beams of light, and flew toward Soten.

They were merely lower-tier angels, devoid of human emotions, so they felt no anger at the loss of their companion. They simply chose to eliminate the strongest presence in this world first.

"One, two, three… ninety-nine!"

Looking at the angels that had appeared before them, neatly surrounding Soten, Yukari counted with difficulty.

"Uh, Sora, with so many enemies, can we really win?"

Recalling the scenes of these angels destroying cities, Yukari swallowed hard and asked uncertainly.

Even though they had over a hundred sisters on their side, still…

Comfortingly patting Yukari's little head, Sora pointed to the sky above and said with a smile:

"Kid, if you want to survive, you have to fight even if you can't win!"

"And besides, the real boss is up there."

Yukari and the other girls followed Sora's pointing finger and looked up, their faces instantly filled with shock.

In the sky above, there were nine massive cracks!

Eight of them were more than ten times larger than the ones from which the angels had appeared earlier!

And the ninth one… was a hundred times larger…
