Chapter 7 - Idok(2)

With that thought, Victor closed his eyes and let sleep take over, the exhaustion from the day's events finally catching up to him.

The next morning, Victor woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, though the faint hum of mana coursing through his body served as a constant reminder of the changes he had undergone.

He stretched, his muscles still slightly sore, and took a moment to glance out the small window in his room.

The morning sun bathed Idok in golden light, illuminating the town's cobblestone streets and the misty waterfall in the distance.

It was a peaceful sight, one that almost made him forget the chaos of the previous day.

Victor got dressed in his dirty uniform, knowing he'd need to buy new clothes soon.

He couldn't keep wandering around looking like he'd just survived a battle even if that wasn't far from the truth.

After a quick splash of water on his face, he grabbed his bag and headed downstairs.

The creaky wooden staircase led him to the inn's cozy dining area.

The smell of freshly baked bread and sizzling meat wafted through the air, instantly awakening his appetite.

At the counter, the dark-haired innkeeper greeted him with the same polite smile as before.

"Good morning, sir Would you like to order breakfast?" she asked, her tone cheerful.

"Yes, please," Victor replied, still shaking off the remnants of sleep.

"That will be 5 rails," she said, placing a plate of scrambled eggs, sausages, and a slice of crusty bread on the counter.

Victor handed over the coins and took a seat by the window.

As he ate, he watched the town come to life.

Merchants were setting up their stalls, their voices carrying over the clatter of carts and the occasional bark of a dog.

Tourists and townsfolk alike filled the streets, their cheerful chatter blending into the morning symphony. It was a stark contrast to the tension he'd felt just hours ago.

After finishing his meal, Victor stepped out of the inn and made his way to the nearby marketplace.

The small market was already bustling, with vendors selling everything from fresh produce to handcrafted trinkets.

Stalls lined the square, their colorful awnings fluttering gently in the breeze. Victor wandered through the square, taking in the sights and sounds.

He even spotted a few stalls selling mana weapons, though they were only common grade and cost a staggering 500 rails each.

'Maybe someday.' he thought, but for now, he had more pressing needs.

Victor stopped at a clothing stall where a middle-aged vendor greeted him warmly.

The man had a friendly face and a practiced eye, quickly sizing Victor up as he approached.

"Looking for something specific, young man?" the vendor asked, his tone inviting.

"A pair of pants and a shirt," Victor said, eyeing the selection. He needed something durable and practical, something that could withstand the rigors of travel and whatever dangers this world might throw at him next and it also cheap.

The vendor nodded and quickly pulled out a pair of sturdy black trousers and a simple black shirt. "These should fit you well," he said, holding them up for Victor to inspect.

"They're durable and perfect for travel. Made from high-quality fabric, too."

Victor ran his hands over the material. It was plain but functional—exactly what he needed. "How much?" he asked, already mentally calculating how much he could afford to spend.

"60 rails for both," the vendor replied, his tone firm but not unkind.

Victor raised an eyebrow, He wasn't about to pay full price At a Flee Market Like This, if he could help it.

"How about 40 rails for both, but I take three sets? Deal or not?" he countered, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.

The vendor's friendly smile faltered slightly. "Young man, I only make a small profit on these," he said, his voice tinged with frustration.

"How about we do 50 rails for both? That's as low as I can go."

Victor crossed his arms, not backing down. "The best I can do is 45 rails. Take it or leave it."

The vendor sighed, clearly realizing Victor wasn't going to budge.

"Fine, young man. Deal," he said, his tone resigned but not unkind.

Victor handed over the money, a small smirk playing on his lips. He might not have been the most talented mage in this world, but he Will Hopefully never scam In This World.

Victor folded the newly purchased clothes neatly under his arm, making a mental note to change out of his dirtied academy uniform as soon as possible.

As It very hard to clean it Once it Got Dirty.

With his essentials acquired, Victor wandered the market for a little while longer, observing the lively atmosphere and the variety of goods on display.

Keep A Note to Himself Of Every Item He come across, So His interface Skill Will be useful.

The market was a essentials Part of Idok itself ,vibrant, bustling, and full of life. Vendors called out to passersby, Showing their wares with practiced charm.

Tourists haggled over Item, while locals exchanged gossip and laughter.

For a moment, Victor allowed himself to get lost in the rhythm of it all, the mundane normalcy a welcome reprieve from the soon chaos of his new reality.

He Know Once The child Of chaos Is On the Move, This atmosphere Will be Gone, So He try to Enjoy Moment Like this, As much as possible.

But he couldn't linger for long.

There were things he needed to test, questions he needed answers to.

After returning to the inn briefly to change into his newly purchased clothes,

Victor made his way toward the forest on the outskirts of Idok.

The town's cheerful noise faded behind him, replaced by the serene quiet of nature.

The trees loomed tall and ancient, their thick canopies casting shadows across the forest floor.

The air was cool and earthy, a stark contrast to the bustling town he had just left behind.

Victor moved deeper into the woods, his footsteps soft against the mossy ground.

He walked until he was certain no one was around, stopping in a small clearing where sunlight filtered through the leaves, illuminating the moss covered ground in patches of gold from The sun light.

'Time to see if this Emperor-rank immortality is more than just a fancy title' he thought, his heart pounding in his chest.

He needed to know the limits of his new abilities, to understand what he was truly capable of.

As In The Game Soloman Barely Got hit, As He Always Stays In the Backline, But One He Got Hit He Would regain Hp add A very Fast Rate.

So I Want to Test How Long I Need to Heal and How much Pain do I feel and More.

There was no better way to test it than to put it to the test himself.

Drawing a small pocketknife from his belt a simple tool he Had purchased from the market earlier he stared at the blade for a moment.

The forest was dense, with towering trees that filtered the sunlight into patches on the mossy ground.

The air was fresh, carrying the earthy scent of foliage and damp soil. Victor found a quiet spot near a small stream, its crystal-clear water trickling over smooth stones.

The sound was soothing, almost enough to calm his nerves. Almost.

Taking a deep breath, Victor pricked his finger with the knife. He Barely notice The Pain, Like It was Never There .

A small bead of blood welled up, crimson against his pale skin. He watched it intently, waiting to see what would happen.

At first, nothing. The blood dripped onto the moss below, staining it a dark red.

A sharp sting shot through Victor's fingertip as a bead of crimson blood welled up.

He watched closely, his heart pounding in anticipation. At first, there was a faint, tingling sensation, a hint that something might happen.

But then... nothing. The small wound remained, and a drop of blood trickled down his finger, staining the cloth he'd wrapped around it.

Victor frowned, his brows knitting together in frustration.

"So, it's still unstable," he muttered under his breath, clenching his fist.

The peach's abilities hadn't fully manifested yet, As it a Emperor Item and the realization left him feeling both annoyed and uneasy.

He had hoped for more hoped that the Emperor-rank item would grant him some immediate, undeniable advantage Afther all That what Happen To Soloman.

But Again He Is not Soloman, he Is Victor.

But it seemed he'd have to wait, to let the power settle within him.

Deciding not to push his luck further,

Victor wrapped his finger more securely in the cloth and began the trek back to Idok.

The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the forest floor and painting the sky in hues of orange and purple.

The air grew cooler, and the sounds of the forest shifted as nocturnal creatures began to stir.

By the time Victor reached the outskirts of the town, the streets were quieter than before.

Most of the market stalls had closed, their colorful awnings folded and packed away.

The townsfolk were retreating to their homes for the evening, their laughter and chatter replaced by the occasional clatter of shutters closing or the distant hum of a lantern being lit.

Exhausted from the day's events, Victor decided to take a shortcut through a narrow alley to reach the inn faster.

The alley was dimly lit, the fading sunlight barely reaching its cobblestone path.

The walls of the buildings on either side loomed tall, casting the narrow passage in deep shadows.

Victor quickened his pace, his footsteps echoing softly against the stone.

But as he turned a corner, he froze. A figure stood at the end of the alley, silhouetted against the faint glow of a streetlamp.
