As they strolled through the mall, Mila reached out from Eryx's arms, her little fingers grabbing at Lunara's shirt.
Lunara blinked. "Does she… want me to hold her?"
Eryx glanced down at Mila, who was making grabby hands. "Seems like it." Without hesitation, he carefully passed her over.
Lunara hesitated, but as soon as she took Mila, the little girl giggled, snuggling against her. Warmth spread through Lunara's chest. She wasn't sure why Mila suddenly preferred her, but she wasn't about to question it.
Naomi smirked. "Aww, she's already choosing you over her dad."
Eryx huffed. "She just wants variety."
Lunara rolled her eyes. "Sure, let's go with that."
They continued walking until Lunara suddenly stopped in front of a cap store. Without a word, she stepped inside, browsed for a moment, then grabbed a plain black cap and took it to the cashier.
Naomi and Eryx exchanged surprised glances.
