The meeting room, heavy with tension, broke into an unexpected sound of Eryx's low, amused laughter.
"I wonder…" His sharp gaze locked onto Lunara, who stood frozen, her eyes wide with shock. It was clear she hadn't expected to see him here.
"I always wondered why it was so hard to find her…" Eryx's lips curled into a faint, knowing smile. "Guess I know why now."
He stood up slowly, the room's atmosphere growing more charged with every step he took. Then his eyes flicked to Regina, his tone turning cool and accusing.
"Did you send her to me that night?"
Regina crossed her arms as she leaned on her seat, there was a slight hint of confusion on her face, "Which night?"
Eryx's eyes darkened, his patience thinning. "Don't play games with me."
