Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Limit Breaker

"My body is sore!"

Getting up on the bed, Sam muttered under his breath and stretched his body and moved to open the windows.

"What a beautiful sight!"

He gazed outside the windows and admired the sight—wavering crops, chirping birds, and some people busy cutting the crops.

"Still time in Sun rising."

Gently rubbing his cheeks, he noticed the clear sky.

Shaking his head, he turned and again strode to his bed and calmly collected all the littered study materials and put them in their respective places.

"I'm done but my mind feels fully energetic!"

A relaxed smile caressed his face, and he moved to the study table while muttering to himself.

"Maybe effect of increased stat."

Calculating himself, 240 spiritual fire Ganoderma densely stacked over one another appeared in his palm since he had already reserved spiritual fire Ganoderma in the storage ring and 50 rune energy reserves.

Calmly closing his eyes, he urged the rune energy to cover the spiritual fire Ganoderma and instantly he found himself in the known place: Merge ability place.

The same sight appeared before his eyes, though the only difference this time was that every slot carried 80 spiritual fire Ganoderma.

"Who thought under one month I would've this much improvement."

His eyes softened as he stared at the slot.

Intuitively, he sat down with his eyes closed and, unknown to him, the origin fire condensed over his head and the ray shot toward the slot and ignited from the bottom.

A bead of sweat fell on the ground and wriggled on the untouchable surface due to high temperature while his body seemed roasted in an oven and looked all red.

Clenching his teeth, he endured and calmly continued to endure the hellish process, and the flickering fire in his right back-palm continued to emit waves as if sending signals to him: to not interrupt the process.

His face became dried, cracks resurfaced on his lips, all showing the process he was going through.

Time continued to pass.

His eyes snapped open, and he slumped on the table, heavily panting.

"What... why was this different?"

Unable to comprehend the problem, his eyes unconsciously wandered to his palm where 40 one-round invigorating rune pills were resting on his palm, covered in rune energy.

To not let his effort go to waste, he carefully placed the rune pills in the small box one by one till all the rune pills were placed.

"Done!"

Wiping his sweat, he flicked his finger and the sweat burst in the air.

Ignoring all of his tired body, his eyes stared at the small box.

"What was the differ..."

His eyes suddenly widened.

"How can I miss this?"

His hand grabbed one of the boxes and took the rune pill and noticed that there were no cracks on the surface, which means it was different from the one-round invigorating rune pill.

Without overthinking, his finger preened over his wristband, and he scanned the rune pill.

One-round invigorating pill [Special]

- Limit breaker

- +1 in all four-dimensional stats

His breath ragged for a split moment, and he blankly stared at the rune pill.

All of a sudden, he jolted up as if his body was being electrified and shouted,

"I've become rich!"

Regaining consciousness, he covered his mouth, and his eyes drifted to the door.

"What a blunder!"

"Thank God! The door is locked."

Not giving any chance, he placed down the rune pill very carefully in the small box and hid all the boxes in his storage ring.

"Now, it's safe."

Getting a clear mind, he counted the money through his trembling fingers, which still showed his overflowing emotions, not listening even to his mind, though his fidgety body calmed down and ragged breath returned to normal.

"One rune pill counts for 1000 U.C. and I've 40 pieces, which means 40,000 U.C."

"I'm rich."

Overflowing light passed through his eyes as if countless thoughts drifted through his mind.

"So now I'm..."

Knock!

Knock!

Sam!

All his thoughts were obstructed and returned to reality.

"Wait Rahul! I'm opening the door."

His eyes scanned one time carefully over the table to not leave any clue. He took the key and opened the door.

Clank!

Locking his room, he smiled.

"Let's go."

Rahul's right hand rested on Sam's shoulder and probed,

"Any good news?"

"Just happy. And what about you? All your concepts cleared?"

Rahul's face blackened for a moment before his hand whipped at Sam's back.

"Argh! What's that for?"

"Knowing that I love to play games, and my childish dream is to create a game and you..."

"Sorry! Sorry! If you have any doubt, my door is open for you."

"It's okay, but you have no idea how much time was wasted."

Rahul sneered, clearly upset about hiding the fact that his friend knew everything clearly but never talked.

Sam didn't leave any opportunity and smacked his head.

"I did it for your own good."

"How?" Rubbing his head, Rahul groaned.

"You have to know that if I taught you, that means you'll just follow my path. But if you go your own way, then you'll find many blunders, doubts, inspirations—like why you even chose this and why you should even continue—which eventually you have to find one day."

"But I'm doing this for my childish dream."

Shaking his head, Sam continued to move while words escaped his mouth.

"We are now adults and every word, every action has its own consequence, and you can't justify it just by saying that's my childish dream. All the childish things should be left in the dust during the childish stage. Adults don't care; they only care about the result. And finally, one thing that everyone also cares about—that's the result."
