Jiang Lingxi could now be completely sure that people like her and Xu Zhao basically did not need anyone to help keep watch at night.
Because even though they seemed to be asleep, their subconscious was still keeping an eye on any and all movements around them. At the slightest unusual sound, they could wake up immediately from a light sleep.
This had even become a habit as normal as eating or drinking water every day.
"Mmm," Xu Zhao covered his mouth, yawning discreetly, and nodded at Jiang Lingxi to indicate he was awake, "You sleep."
Jiang Lingxi didn't expose his cover-up, simply murmured softly, leaned her head slightly back against the trunk, and closed her eyes.
She originally intended to appear more relaxed in front of Xu Zhao, but after trying for a few moments with no success, she decided not to force herself.
