Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Furan wipes the sweat from his forehead and sighs. He can feel his body growing stronger thanks to the power of the [Training Room] he purchased from the [Shop]. The [Training Room] has a hidden function—it accelerates his recovery so that he can return to intense training after only a brief rest.

After just a few minutes of resting, his stamina is restored, and his body is back to its peak condition.

The description is accurate: the device is perfect for training. The only downside is that it's single-use and will be destroyed once his training is complete, so he must purchase another if he wants to use it again.

The price for a permanent device is 1500 Points. With this device, he can use it once again to create pocket dimension after five hours of cooldown. Unfortunately, this is only a lower-tier version; creating a permanent pocket dimension that will not destroyed after an hour of use with the same effect costs one million points.

Furan shakes his head and opens the [Mission] app to collect his reward. He smiles slightly at the points he has accumulated.

[Points: 975]

After just three days of training, he has nearly reached one thousand points. With him nearing a thousand points, he thinks of his next move. He plans to leave this cavern and explore the world; however, he doesn't want to be a Marine or a Pirate. Instead, he decided to become a merchant.

Thanks to the [Shop], he can purchase all the goods he intends to sell without worrying about them spoiling—he can simply buy them on the spot. He can even claim to have a Devil Fruit that lets him store items in a pocket dimension.

He also learned something else about the [Shop] that could make his business very profitable: he can purchase one hundred kilograms of wheat for just ten points. In short, raw goods are cheap compared to cooked food or processed goods.

This means he can keep a low profile by buying a smaller ship, thereby avoiding unwanted attention.

There's another reason why he chose this path. He wants to grow his power quickly before the Straw Hat Pirate wreaks havoc around the world. Since arriving in this world, he has regularly checked the newspaper to see which timeline he has landed in. Just last month, he saw Ace and his pirate crew wreak havoc on several islands. Ace hasn't yet joined the Whitebeard Pirates and has only just arrived in the Grand Line.

This means he can become a successful merchant before the worst events unfold.

However, as usual, he needs to make an initial investment. To set sail, he must acquire various skills—sailing, ship repair, navigation, and medicine or healing. Although he could search for a crew with these abilities, he prefers to have them himself rather than depend on others.

He can buy all these skills in the [Shop], and they are relatively inexpensive. He can become a Master-level Sailor, Shipwright, and Navigator for only three hundred points—each skill costing one hundred points. Moreover, if he invests an additional fifty points in his Navigator skill, he'll gain complete knowledge of this world's map, allowing him to know the direct route to Laugh Tale without needing to decipher the Road Poneglyphs.

"In the end, I need more points."

He sighs again and walks toward the lake; he needs to bathe and rest, for he has a long day ahead and must train hard before setting sail for the open sea.

Furan punches the wall in front of him and watches as the entire cavern trembles from the impact. He smiles at the result of his month of training. Can he defeat a formidable pirate in the Grand Line? Absolutely not. Can he survive in the North Blue? Seventy percent chance. He can manage in this part of the sea as long as he avoids doing anything foolish.

Fortunately, he has chosen not to begin his journey in the North Blue.

He will head to the East Blue—the reason being that it's known as the weakest region in the world. However, being the weakest doesn't necessarily mean it's the safest; there are few Marine bases in East Blue, allowing many pirates to roam its waters.

Lucky for him, all of them are weak compared to the pirates in North Blue.

To reach the East Blue, he must cross the Red Line. He can either use the Reverse Mountain or traverse a small channel that runs through the entire Red Line. This channel is controlled by the World Government and provides them with their largest source of tax revenue.

There's a reason why the Celestial Dragons can afford to spend so much money—by taxing those who sail through the channel, they earn a substantial amount daily. Merchants, transport ships, and Royal Ships traversing this area must pay a fee to cross.

This channel is one of the few assets they control. They also oversee the route connecting the North and West Blue—a small area where the wind still blows in the midst of the Calm Belt, and that is rarely visited by Sea Kings. Additionally, they control the route between the East and South Blue. Unlike the others, this route functions more as a service: the World Government sails alongside ships wishing to cross, ensuring that no Sea Kings can detect their locations thanks to the Sea Stone coating on their vessels. They've even tamed a few Sea Kings to help pull the ships across. Finally, there's another channel that traverses the Red Line, this time connecting the South and West Blue.

By controlling the Trade Route, they've become economic powerhouses that no one can rival. Considering that every nation must pay a Heavenly Tribute to them, the World Government is unlikely to run out of money anytime soon—or ever.

"And I need to use one of their services. However, to do so, I need money."

He looks at the Logpose in his hand—the one he bought from the [Shop]—and sees the closest island to the northeast. Then he opens his profile on his phone and smiles slightly.

[Name: Furan]

[Race: Human (Devil Fruit Varian)]

[Title: Heavenly Seraph]

[Power: Human-Human Fruit, Model: Seraph]

[Skill: Master Navigator, Master Sailor, Master Shipwright]

[Unique Skill: Armament Haki (Apprentice), Observation Haki (Apprentice)]

[Points: 1874 Points]

He has spent more than two thousand points to prepare everything he needs. He's fortunate to have received a significant number of points from his Daily Sign-In—even hitting the jackpot three times for two hundred points each.

However, he still needs more points, as he must purchase a ship.

He shakes his head and puts his phone in his pocket before crawling out of the cavern. Two weeks ago, he used his laser beam to enlarge an exit hole in the cavern. Now, once outside, he jumps and unfurls his wings to take flight.

He takes out his phone and accesses the [Shop]. After scrolling through the options, he selects the ship he desires. Within seconds, he purchases it for two hundred points, and a moment later, a ship appears in the sea.

It's a brigantine-type ship, slightly larger than the Thousand Sunny used by the Straw Hat Pirates in the canon timeline. Its high cost is due to several factors: it's constructed entirely from Adam Wood, coated with Sea Stone, and equipped with a propeller powered by the sun—complete with an internal battery.

However, the best feature is that this ship can be used by a single person as long as they know whatever they are doing.

This ship is perfect for traveling across the world.

"It is time for me to explore this world."
