Isolde's POV
I followed the pull of Sienna's power deeper into the packhouse. The building shuddered as fights raged outside, but I moved with purpose, unhurried.
A familiar dark energy brushed against my senses. Ronan was here too, somewhere below. The killer who loved a Ruby Wolf. How poetic. And how useful he might yet be.
I turned a corner and found myself in a large room where two figures stood locked in what looked to be an argument. One glowed with ruby fire – Sienna. The other stood halfway transformed between man and wolf – Kieran.
They didn't notice me at first. I stayed in the dark, watching.
"You need to control it!" Sienna pushed, her hands glowing as she reached toward Kieran. "Focus on my voice."
The wolf-man snarled, fighting some internal war. "I can't hold it back much longer. The others need me outside."
"If you lose control now, you'll hurt everyone – your pack, me, everyone!"
