Chapter 10 - Club Blood

It's been 2 days since Alyss's encounter with the vampire and from what she could get from his memories there would be a feast of sorts tonight or something of the sort..

She has been thinking about the whole situation for a while and honestly couldn't come up with something better.

She knows she will get the chance to scan surface thoughts and peak in on some of their minds in order to get more information.

Just thinking about it makes her sigh at the situation. Bits and pieces of the movie were coming back to her.

It's just weird how instead of Los Angeles most of the memories from the vampire point to everything going down in New York.

Getting up from her position on the roof she leaps from building to building while trying to put together what and where to find this sick excuse of a social gathering.

Quickly she came to a stop sliding do to my sudden halt. Looking down she slowly shook her head at the building in front of me.

"Well if that isn't it then I don't know what it is." She mumbled to myself.

The building in front of her has only two big red letters glowing out of the entire sign C and B. The building is two stories tall located in a more rundown part of town.

Slowly she looks over the people walking in, picking out the humans from the vampires. As she read the surface thoughts there is mostly just vampire thinking about the feeding and bathing in the blood.

Stepping back she begins to think about how to get in without causing a ruckus. Knowing full well going in as she was right now would cause a problem. They'd sense something is off and probably be able to tell by her scent she's not one of them.

Slowly tendrils of black and red spread across her body as she shifts. Once the tendrils stop moving her body settles into the form of the very vampire she killed. Looking down at her hands she flexes them into a fist testing out the feeling.

"This will do nicely." Her gravely voice said. It was an odd feeling knowing full well it wasn't truly her voice but still feeling it.

Walking towards the edge of the building she drops into the alley with a muffled impact causing a small crater. Rounding the corner she walked towards the butcher shop.

Guided by the vampire's memories she headed inside and toward the back where a heavy metallic walk in freezer door was placed. The guard looked at her strangely but seeming to recognize the face she was using allowed her in.

Spreading out her senses she could tell there were few humans; it was mostly vampires. She watched as they began eyeing their unknowing prey.

Before she could react the fire sprinkler system turned on and a deep flow of crimson washed over the crowd. At first there was no indication it was real until the scent of iron hit her nose.

One of the humans started panicking, freaking out about the blood. He quickly made his way through the crowd trying to get away. In his bout of hysteria he ended up surrounded.

The DJ of the club flashes his fangs with a wide grin. "It's that time of night, people, the time you've been waiting for -."

Before he could finish speaking a giant blade appeared through his chest. The sudden panic and struggle of the DJ caught everyone's attention.

Hiding in the shadows the one they call Blade the Daywalker silently watches observing the situation before him deciding to let it play out.

The bladed arm was familiar to him and so was there person. This confused him quite a bit but right now his attention is on the vampires and Deacon's boy.

All the vampires turned to look, seeing a man with a giant blade for an arm impaling one of their own suddenly his skin rippled and he changed.

The switch was slow at first but as the ripples of black and red finished a girl with black hair and cyan eyes stared at them. The look sent shivers down the spine of the crowd.

She jerked her arm quickly causing the blade to slice from gut to head in two. The blade arm slowly receded turning back into a normal arm.

Looking around she couldn't help but feel disgusted. She could understand the need for blood and what not for vampires but they way they're going about it makes them look like savages in her eyes.

A single clap of her hands caused a small shockwave throughout the venue. "Listen closely I will only ask once I want information tell me what I want to know and everyone can be happy." She said in a cold tone.

Though she wouldn't let them live after all they're pulling people off the streets and trying to revive a wanna be god.

For a moment there were hushed whispers until someone threw a knife then all went silent. Alyss caught the knife then stared at the one who threw it. It was a deafening silence, one that promised retribution.

Alyss gave a cold smile. "So be it."

When she finished talking a cold quiet crossed the crowd. Within a blink of an eye she was in front of the person who threw the knife holding him by his throat. But before he could react she increased the pressure.

Alyss debated if to devour or use what control over telepathy she has to train her abilities while getting the information needed.

So without any hesitation she dove into his mind looking for anything of use. The man she held screamed as blood began pouring out of his orifices. He then began twitching causing the crowd to back away and then he was still letting out one last breath.

Alyss tossed the corpse aside causing it to sail across the room indenting a wall. At first there was shock, horror and then rage.

Vampires are prideful and extremely prideful. They do not bend without a fight and do not learn until it's too late. Many of them see anything not them as lesser.

The point was driven home when they began surrounding Alyss and posturing in an aggressive way.

Alyss nodded her head once in silent acknowledgement in what's to come. With a small gesture of her hand her arms rippled with black and red as they both formed into giant claws ending in metallic bladed finger tips.

As they sat there a thick tension filled the air then one of them charged. Before he even made it to her another ran at her and then another. In that moment the once silent room devolved into madness.

A slaughter started, Blade too got into the fight. Several vampires finally noticed he was there and he rounded with a shotgun loaded with UV rounds in it.

Pulling the trigger a shell impacted and detonated into a blonde vampire causing a ghastly scream of anguish as his body quickly turned to ash leaving only a skeleton in its wake.

Alyss sliced through their vampiric enhanced forms with ease causing many to falter. She was a blur of motion dismembering limbs that flew in all directions.

More charged at her using crowbars, knives and swords. When one tried sneaking up on her and stabbed at her using a knife it chipped. This caused those in the vicinity to stop and stare stupefied.

One vampire tapped another's shoulder. "See if the sword works."

The vampire with the sword nodded, hyping himself up. He waited until she wasn't looking then blurred toward her raising his sword up high and shouted a battlecry.

The sword came down with an audible crack followed by the sound of part of the sword hitting the floor. All stood there aghast as Alyss slowly turned in their direction.

Dropping the sword the vampire tried to run. "I'm sorry please I don't want to die let me go I won't do it again." He yelled in a semi-manic state trying to get away

Alyss vanished and reappeared her bladed finger tips slightly blood. Hearing the few others shuffle away she turned in that direction and charged, killing all but one.

Approaching the one she left alive she grabs him by the throat giving him a dismissive look. Running over his mind reading his surface thoughts. "You know someone, I recognized that name."

The vampire looked terrified and confused. "J j-just do it already."

Nodding Alyss Immediately dives into his mind a name Mercury, a memory of a blond woman with blue eyes showing her with Frost in a penthouse. Diving deeper she got an address satisfied she left his mind and let him drop as he began drooling.

Looking around she sees the carnage left in her wake: burned skeletons and bloody corpses are left lying around.

She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard screaming. Heading in that direction she found a Blade burning a Vampire alive. Alyss observed curiously as seeing a genuine vampire hunter at work is a rarity.

Suddenly there were rushing footsteps headed in their direction but when the people rounded a corner they found an unconscious man and a burning Vampire twitching. Soon the officers got work tagging and cataloguing the crimes scene.
