Crusch crossed her arms. "Agreed. The last time the White Whale appeared, it took some of the strongest warriors to bring it down. Even then, the casualties were severe."
Subaru nodded. "We can't afford a repeat of that. We need to control the battlefield and force the fight on our terms."
Roswaal chuckled, swirling his tea. "Fufufu~ So, dear Subaru, what do you have in mind?"
Subaru exhaled sharply. "First, we gather our forces. Halibal is a must. I'll try to convince him personally."
Emilia tilted her head. "What about Priscilla?"
Subaru hesitated. "She's unpredictable. If she helps, it's because she sees it as entertaining. You can ask her, but don't rely on her."
Crusch spoke next. "That still leaves us short on firepower."
Anastasia smirked. "Then how about we make a deal? If we offer the right incentive, we might get mercenaries from Kararagi."

Subaru spoke. "And that why I need you too pretended you bumped into me and joined too help".
Halibal laughed as he looked at Subaru. "That is you're master plan Boss, wow".
Halibal smirked, leaning back against the old wooden chair. "So, let me get this straight—you want me to 'accidentally' bump into you, pretend like I had no prior knowledge of the situation, and then join in to fight the White Whale like some kind of wandering swordsman?"
Subaru sighed, rubbing his temple. "Yes. Because if people find out the Witch's Hand is involved, they'll either panic or start asking too many questions. We still haven't shaken off our 'gray area' reputation, and the last thing I need is people thinking we're manipulating events behind the scenes."
Halibal chuckled, shaking his head. "You really like making things complicated, Boss. Wouldn't it be easier to just say I decided to help because I'm a good guy?"
Subaru gave him a deadpan look. "Who would believe that?"
Halibal thought for a second, then nodded. "Fair point."
Shaule, who had been listening quietly, sighed. "So basically, you're telling him to play dumb?"
Subaru shrugged. "More or less. It's an act, but it's necessary."

Subaru smirked. "It's all about the element of surprise. If we make them think it's some outside force from Kararagi hired by Anastasia, they'll be less likely to connect the dots to us or the Witch's Hand. It gives us cover to do what needs to be done."
Shaule nodded, seeing the logic. "If we can make them think we're simply hired muscle, it'll keep our involvement under wraps, and we can strike at the right moment. Plus, if we're pretending to be mercenaries, no one will question our presence."
Ivan sighed, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Alright, I get it. We're the shadows in the background. But you really think Anastasia will buy this plan?"
Subaru grinned. "Leave her to me. She'll fall for it. We just need to play our part convincingly."
Halibal gave a snicker. "So we're basically going to be actors now, huh? A bit ridiculous, but I guess I'm in."
Subaru glanced over at the others, his face growing serious. "Petelgeuse is the wildcard. We need to find him and deal with him quickly. Once the White Whale is dealt with, we can focus on the more dangerous game."
Shaule crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "Tracking down Petelgeuse won't be easy. We'll have to keep a low profile while looking for him, and he might be more unpredictable than we expect."
Subaru sighed, running a hand through his hair. "That's the part I hate. But it's our only option. Get to it, and don't make too much noise. We're on a tight timeline here."
Ivan gave a curt nod. "Understood."
The group dispersed, each member heading off to fulfill their role in the plan. Subaru couldn't help but feel the weight of what was to come. This wasn't just about fighting the White Whale. It was about pulling off a delicate maneuver without letting anyone realize what they were really up to.
But with the Witch's Hand backing him up, he hoped the deception would hold—at least long enough to make their move.

Taking a deep breath, Subaru closed the Sin System menu and focused on the task at hand. Right now, he had to finalize the plan. The Witch's Hand was already in motion, and soon, the battle against the White Whale would begin.
He turned to Halibel, who was still smirking at him. "Alright, enough talk. You know what you need to do. Make it look like you're just a wandering mercenary. When the time comes, we strike from the shadows."
Halibel shrugged. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't get yourself killed, boss."
Subaru exhaled, his expression darkening. "Trust me. That's the last thing I want to happen this time."
