[I won't apologize for what I did earlier. To put it another way, I find it strange when people feel sorry after doing something wrong, so I won't do that... I won't apologize. Besides, I don't think I did anything wrong. From this, it's clear that the thirst for knowledge doesn't vary across species. The emotion of 'desire' exists among all things in the universe. It's quite fascinating.]
The Supreme Deity floated above Haruya, now glowing brightly, seemingly pleased with the earlier experiment.
Although Haruya didn't believe the Supreme Deity possessed human emotions, achieving 'His' goal must have brought some satisfaction.
Thinking about it, there wasn't much to refute in the Supreme Deity's explanation. After all, the one in charge wasn't Haruya, but the being above him, who was close to a god.
Of course, there was still a significant difference from a god, at least from Haruya's perspective.
After witnessing what had just happened, even though Haruya knew it was a group of NPCs, he couldn't recover immediately.
He had experienced death, he had died to avoid dying again. Yet, this time, he had experienced death without dying himself... the death of others...
Sitting on a chair in the empty square, there was a table in front of him with some delicious food laid out.
Having just seen mangled human bodies and blood splattering everywhere, Haruya had no appetite.
[It's a bit sad for me to say this, but unfortunately, even if someone chooses ‹YES› via email and gets transported to an 'Intrinsic Domain', they'll likely end up in someone else's Domain first, not mine...]
"Though it's a bit annoying, I'll ask anyway... why is that?"
[The reason? Perhaps it's because my creation order was quite low, so most humans who became test subjects were taken by those ahead of me, leaving none for me.]
"Creation order? Based on what you said earlier, there are many 'Intrinsic Domains', right? Are these 'Intrinsic Domains' parallel Dimensions or non-parallel Dimensions?"
[What a rather uninteresting question...]
The Supreme Deity murmured...
[Let me put it like this...There are parallel Dimensions, which refers to the various Dimensions contained within what you humans call 'multiverse'... And within these Dimensions, parallel Universes exist. According to the fluctuations of worldlines, infinite universes are created. Within these infinite universes, humans who become 'test subjects' will enter different Dimensions based on certain rules.]
"In short, someone from Worldline A might enter the 'Intrinsic Domain' of Worldline B, right?"
[Yes, but since the Supreme Deities of Worldline A are innumerable, such situations rarely occur. We can interfere with each other's Domains and worldlines, but ultimately, we are prevented from doing so by higher beings.]
That made sense. Haruya nodded as he sat in the chair.
In the end, the existence of these 'Intrinsic Domains' was to select [elite humans]. Interfering with each other would only cause unnecessary trouble.
[More importantly, I think you should be worried about something else... this mission.]
"I know, the mission is restarting, right? If you pull any more twisted stunts, I'm quitting."
[Though you can't really threaten me, I won't do that again. While humans can repeat prankish behavior, I won't. Repeating something after getting the results is too inefficient... Plain stupid if you will...]
This statement from the Supreme Deity clearly invalidates most people's daily lives.
In fact, it invalidates all humans because most human lifestyles are monotonous... waking up, sleeping, eating, working, chatting, and playing games.
Even though the result is a 'boring life,' humans must repeat these actions to survive.
[The world is still "Attack on Titan". Now, you can choose a codename. My suggestion is 'Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Luis'... How does that sound, Haruya??]
"Stop messing around… Don't take a great painter's name, change it, and make it my codename."
[From a human perspective, the longer something is, the better, right? Like secondary sexual characteristics during mating.]
"Even if you say that…"
[Don't worry. Even if yours is short, I can use my power to make it longer. How about one meter?]
"Do you want me to walk around with my d*ck rolled up like a Saiyan's tail? Forget about your brain short-circuiting for a moment. As for the codename, my own name is fine."
[Such low standards... Also, I don't have a brain.]
"Pfft," Haruya laughed. He had finally managed to tease the Supreme Deity.
"Do you have a d*ck?"
[No.]
Then the Supreme Deity asked:
[Do you want to die?]
"No…"
The conversation ended, and the mission restarted. Haruya's codename was ultimately decided to be his own name.
[Then, please continue 'saving'. Your battle has only just begun.]
"Don't say such cringe things, you jerk."
And so, the mission began...
The sound of wind filled Haruya's ears, and he smelled the smoke of burning tar.
Looking at his clothes, he found himself wearing a trainee soldier's uniform. The instructor's voice rang out at that moment.
"The price of a hundred years of peace was paid in tragedy. With the crisis awareness of that time, there was no way to deal with the Colossal Titan that appeared."
The result was that the front wall, 'Wall·Maria', was abandoned.
Thus, humanity's living area retreated to within Wall·Rose, where they now lived.
"Even if that Colossal Titan comes back now to destroy the wall, we wouldn't be surprised."
The instructor continued, "At that time, you must fulfill your duties and sacrifice your lives to fight against the threat of the Titans! Dedicate your hearts!"
"""Yes!!"""
A deafening roar followed.
"Today, you will graduate from being 'trainee soldiers'. Now, I'll announce the top ten trainees with the best training scores. Those whose names are called, step forward!"
Haruya was mixed in the crowd, listening to the names of the top ten.
First place: Mikasa Ackerman.
Second place: Reiner Braun.
Third place: Bertholdt Hoover.
Fourth place: Annie Leonhart.
Fifth place: Eren Yeager.
… all the way to tenth place: Historia Reiss.
Aside from the instructor's voice, Haruya also heard the Supreme Deity's voice in his mind.
[Mission: Capture the Female Titan.]
It seemed that mission was still a long way off…
