Cherreads

Chapter 1 - rebirth in a new world.

A storm raged through the night, rain hammering against the asphalt as a black motorcycle roared down the empty highway. The rider, clad in a dark helmet, gripped the handles tightly, his knuckles white with pressure. Tears streaked down his face, hidden behind the visor. His breathing was ragged, his chest tight with rage and grief.

"Fuck..." he muttered under his breath, his voice nearly drowned out by the roaring engine.

Memories flashed in his mind—sharp, bitter, unforgiving.

"You're a fucking failure!"

"I wish I never gave birth to you!"

Jin's grip tightened. "Do you think I give a damn? I never wanted to be part of this family anyway!"

The motorcycle lurched forward, the speedometer climbing dangerously high. The wind howled, but the storm inside his heart raged even louder.

And then, another voice. A different memory.

"Jin... Please, come to the hospital. Your father is dying..."

His vision blurred with fresh tears of frustration.

"That bastard... how could he die before I got my revenge?!"

He slammed the accelerator, the bike tearing through the rain like a black shadow. His heart pounded in his ears. The world around him became a blur of neon lights and darkness.

Then—headlights.

A massive truck appeared from the side street, its horn blaring through the storm.

Jin barely had time to react before impact.

CRASH!

His body was flung through the air, twisting violently before he smashed through the bridge railing. The motorcycle shattered on the asphalt below. Jin fell.

Down, down into the black abyss of the river.

His helmet cracked. Blood trickled down his forehead, mixing with the rain. His vision blurred as the cold water engulfed him, dragging him into its depths.

"I... I'm sorry... Mom... Dad..."

Darkness crept in. His limbs felt heavy.

"So this... is how a failure dies..."

His thoughts faded. His heartbeat slowed.

And then, everything went black.

As Jin's soul drifted away from his lifeless body, a strange sensation washed over him—a feeling of floating in an endless abyss.

"Where... am I?" he murmured, his voice barely a whisper.

He opened his eyes—or at least, he thought he did. All he saw was an endless void, stretching in every direction. A faint glow flickered in the distance. Slowly, the light grew brighter until it formed into a mysterious figure, radiating an overwhelming presence.

"Would you like to be reborn, hero?" the figure's voice echoed, deep and emotionless.

"Huh?..." Jin frowned, confusion setting in.

Before he could ask any questions, a glowing screen materialized before him.

[Yes / No]

Jin hesitated for a moment, then clicked "Yes."

Darkness.

"As you wish..." The figure's voice grew distant as Jin lost consciousness once more.

A New Beginning

Jin's eyes fluttered open. Warmth surrounded him, a strange but comforting sensation.

"Huh? Where am I?"

His vision was blurry, but he could make out the figure of a woman with soft brown hair and stunning green eyes. She was smiling down at him, holding him gently in her arms.

"Our son is adorable," the woman cooed lovingly.

"He really is," a deep voice agreed.

A tall, muscular man with jet-black hair and a well-groomed mustache stepped closer. His strong features gave him a commanding presence, but his eyes were warm as he looked at Jin.

Jin's heart pounded. Something felt wrong.

"Hey, woman! Put me down!" Jin tried to protest—but what came out was nothing but an infant's babble.

"Aww, his little voice is so cute!" The mother beamed.

"Haha, it really is," the father chuckled.

Jin's breath hitched as he caught sight of something—a mirror in the corner of the room.

His reflection.

A baby.

"AHHHH!" he screamed, but once again, it only came out as an adorable cry.

"What's with that face?" the father raised an eyebrow.

"Don't say that in front of the baby!" The mother lightly smacked his back.

Jin's mind raced as his memories flooded back.

"I... I was hit by a truck... then I... died?!"

His tiny fists clenched.

"That figure... it gave me another chance..."

His eyes widened.

"No way... was I... reincarnated?!"

"I really did get reincarnated..." Jin muttered, his voice calming as the initial shock faded.

Meanwhile, his mother gazed at him lovingly. "Hmm, what should we name our little boy?"

His father stroked his mustache, deep in thought. "We need a name that sounds strong and brave!"

Jin's eyes widened in horror. "Shit, they're about to name me! I can't lose my real name!"

His baby brain kicked into overdrive. "C'mon, Jin! Jin, Jin!" He tried to say his name, but all that came out was an incoherent baby babble.

"Damn it! Just say Jin already!" He focused every ounce of willpower he had.

"Jimn," his tiny voice finally managed to say in a soft, baby-like tone.

His mother's eyes lit up. "Oh? Did you hear that?" she asked excitedly.

His father nodded. "Yes! Then let's name him... Jimney!"

"FUCK." Jin screamed internally.

Before he could curse his fate, his mother smacked his father on the back of the head. "No! His name will be Jin!"

His father rubbed his head, nodding. "Jin... a strong name, fitting for a true martial artist! He will be called Jin Wunhoo!"

His mother beamed. "My little Jin~ So cute~" she cooed, cradling him.

Jin exhaled in relief. "Thank God... I kept my real name!"

His father straightened up. "We should go get his birth certificate."

His mother hesitated. "But what about our baby?"

"Don't worry, Lizing and Loi are outside. They can watch over him," his father reassured her.

His mother bent down and kissed Jin's forehead. "Okay then! Bye, baby Jin! We'll be back soon!" she said sweetly, gently placing him in his crib.

As soon as they left, Jin grinned victoriously. "Finally! And I didn't lose my real name!"

But his moment of celebration was short-lived. His mind drifted back to a bigger question.

"What kind of world is this, anyway?"

He frowned, staring at the ceiling. "I remember that glowing figure… was that a dream? A god, maybe?"

He scowled. "They didn't even give me a cheat skill or anything..."

Attempting to move, he pushed himself up, only to stumble and fall back into the crib.

"Damn... I still can't walk. Judging from my reflection, I must be around one year old now..."

A deep sigh left his tiny lips. "I was 18 before I reincarnated… Damn, I just realized—I died way too early."

He sat there, his baby face full of disappointment.

Just as Jin was about to sink further into his thoughts, a blue, transparent screen suddenly appeared in front of him, floating in the air.

His eyes widened. "What the hell—?!"

The glowing text on the UI flickered before stabilizing:

[Hello, Jin! Welcome to Worlds Collide!]

Jin stared, momentarily speechless. Then, a smirk crept onto his face.

"Oh? This is crazy..."
