Rin observed the Servant in front and sensed the mana within it.
Rin narrowed his eyes. "In terms of close combat, this thing is more powerful than Anos and Saber."
"Oh, is that so." Anos thought.
Shirou took a step back, but Archer in his spirit form spoke up. "This isn't good."
"A Servant can fight seven other servants alone."
"Does that mean it's not an enemy we can fight in close combat with?" Shirou turned to ask Rin.
"Archer, you should use your class's specialized weapon." Rin said to Archer who was standing behind him.
"What about defense?" Archer asked.
"If something happens, I don't know if you can stop it."
Rin looked at Berseker for a moment, then turned to Archer and said. "There are four of us."
"At least we can hold it off for a bit."
Archer nodded. "Understood." Then he ran away.
"Emiya-kun..."
"Whether you decide to run or stay here to fight is up to you."
"But if you can run..."
"...then try to run."
Both of them looked seriously at the girl and Berserker.
"Are you two done talking?" The girl asked.
"If you're done, then I'll kill everyone."
"That's not something a child should say." Anos said.
"Go, Berserker."
After hearing the command, Berserker immediately roared, its muscles bulged and emitted a red light, Berserker stomped his feet and shot up into the air, charging towards the four people.
The killing intent was as heavy as a storm that had just descended. Berserker roared like a beast that had been chained for a long time, his blood-red eyes locked onto his first target, Saber.
"Move aside!" Saber shouted, drawing her invisible sword and slashing a bright line to block the first attack.
BOOM!!!
Berserker's slash met the blade, creating a shockwave so strong that the ground cracked, the wind blew away the roof tiles, and dust flew into the sky.
Saber took two steps back, her eyes serious. "Truly... strength far surpasses normal."
"I thought you knew?" Anos stepped forward, his eyes calm but sharp. "Let me."
Berserker roared again, as if to challenge the person who had just interrupted. But before he could charge, Anos had already disappeared from his sight.
BAM!
A dry sound rang out. Berserker's entire giant body was kicked back, hitting the concrete wall behind him, creating a giant-sized crater.
Illya was stunned. "Wha... what?"
Anos walked slowly towards the ruins. "He has the power... but his reflexes are too slow."
Berserker stood up as if nothing had happened, his body glowing red once more.
"Interesting. He's not dead." Anos nodded. "Then let me try again."
Berserker roared, charging forward even faster than before. A series of blows, carrying the power to crush everything.
Anos did not dodge.
The moment the punch approached, he raised one hand and caught the giant fist with his entire hand.
"What...?" Shirou couldn't believe his eyes.
"That was full power?" Anos's voice was calm. "I expected more."
Then he pushed lightly.
Berserker flew backwards like a sandbag that had been thrown hard, bringing up rocks and dust.
The girl gritted her teeth. "Berserker, get up!"
Berserker roared, his momentum suddenly soaring. Each wound healed instantly.
Rin frowned. "Damn, this guy is tough."
Saber stepped up next to Anos, her hand gripping the hilt of her sword.
"Don't worry." Anos said, his eyes never leaving Berserker. "My teeth are strong."
Saber smiled slightly. "Then I'll hold him in front, you take care of the back."
"It's up to you."
The two charged at the same time, the Tyrannical Demon King and the Swordswoman attacked Berserker, one slashing and the other throwing punches.
Berserker roared like thunder, raising both hands to catch the attack from both sides. Saber's invisible blade grazed his shoulder, leaving a whirlwind that cut deep into his muscles. Meanwhile, Anos' fist slammed straight into Berserker's side.
CRACK!!!
The sound of bones cracking rang out clearly. The giant body swayed, but he still held on, the red light around him growing more intense.
"Still standing..." Anos frowned, then smiled lightly. "That's good."
Saber retreated, raising his sword before his chest. The wind swirling around the invisible blade rolled up, forming sharp streaks of air pressure that tore apart the ground.
"Berserker... isn't easy to take down," Saber said quickly. "If you want to take him down, you have to attack continuously without letting him recover."
"Then cooperate." Anos stepped forward, his eyes still cold as ice. "You attack continuously, I'll block him every time he tries to counterattack."
As soon as he finished speaking, Berserker roared and charged forward at a dizzying speed, like a storm of flesh and muscle.
Saber turned around, the invisible blade slashing horizontally. The explosive wind pressure caused the air to shatter.
BOOM!
Berserker's arm swung up to block the attack, but before he could retaliate, Anos appeared right behind him, delivering a meteor-like kick.
BOOM!!!
The ground exploded. Berserker was plunged into a deep pit, dust flying everywhere.
But in less than a few seconds, red light flashed from the pit again. A beast-like roar rang out, and he leaped into the sky, raising his huge sword to smash it straight down on both of them.
"Move!" Saber shouted loudly.
Anos only raised his eyebrows, his hand raised in the air.
BOOM!!!
The terrifying blow was stopped in mid-air, and Anos' hand held the giant greatsword as if it were as light as a dry branch.
"Quite an impressive toy," he said, then clenched his fist.
CRACK CRACK CRACK!!!
The greatsword shattered into hundreds of pieces in his hand.
Berserker roared madly, but at that moment, Saber seized the opportunity. She appeared on his left, unleashing a sharp slash with her invisible blade, a whirlwind that twisted straight into Berserker's chest.
Blood splattered.
Illya shouted from afar. "Berserker! Get out of the way!"
But it was too late, Anos threw one last punch, directly hitting the center of his chest, sending Berserker's entire body flying as if swept away by a whirlwind, crashing into a nearby wall and collapsing.
The entire neighborhood shook.
Rin squinted. "Temporarily... he's immobilized."
Shirou still couldn't believe his eyes. "Is that... the true power of a Servant?"
"No," Rin said. "It's not over yet."
Berserker immediately rushed out, and he seemed even crazier.
Anos turned around, brushing the dust off his clothes.
"The break is over. Now let's get serious."
Berserker charged forward but immediately thousands of arrows were shot at him. Some of them Berserker was able to block, but thousands of arrows flew up and knocked Berserker back, causing an explosion.
Saber observed the explosion. "That's..."
"It's Archer's, he seems to be hiding somewhere."
Anos walked closer to Berserker. "Archer isn't a melee class anyway."
Berserker rushed out of the smoke but Saber blocked and pushed the Servant back.
She looked at Berserker, Berserker looked at her and then he roared and rushed towards her. She also rushed at him and launched various attacks.
The sound of metal clashing echoed like a drumbeat. Saber moved like the wind, each invisible slash leaving behind a trail of wind that tore through the ground. Berserker, despite his large size and bulk, reacted instinctively, swinging his sword, kicking his legs, and spinning like a giant beast trained to kill.
A slash across the abdomen, but Berserker tilted his body to avoid it.
A sweep of his leg, Saber bounced back and then circled back at an even faster speed.
"He's not slowing down…" Saber gritted her teeth. "He's getting used to my fighting style!"
Berserker suddenly swung his sword, creating a violent shockwave that sent Saber flying back. He roared, stabbed his greatsword into the ground, and slammed both hands into the ground.
BOOM!!!
The entire ground beneath Saber's feet cracked, and a large piece of it bounced up as if it had been caught in a trap. She retreated, but Berserker was already closer than before.
A punch straight to the face.
BOOM!
Saber managed to raise her sword to block, but the impact still sent her flying backwards, rolling on the ground and sliding a few meters. Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth.
"Don't even think about having the upper hand forever." Illya sneered. "Berserker has twelve lives. How many do you have?"
Anos stood still and watched, his eyes indifferent. "I don't need twelve. One is enough."
Saber struggled to stand up, raising her sword again.
Anos stepped forward, blocking her way.
"Let me…" she said, but Anos raised his hand to stop her.
"This time it's my turn." His voice was low but steady. "You fought with all your might."
Saber said nothing, just slowly retreated.
Berserker roared again, continuing to charge. But this time, Anos didn't wait for him to strike.
In an instant, his entire body disappeared. A small thud rang out and then…
BAM!!!
Berserker's body was smashed into the ground like a meteorite. The impact was so strong that the ground was deeply dented into a crater.
Anos stood right on his chest, one foot stomping straight down, making the giant body unable to move.
"Fighting like a wild beast is good." Anos said coldly. "But that's not a good way to fight."
Illya shouted. "Berserker! Get up! YOU MUST STAND UP!!!"
Berserker's eyes were red, his power seemed to be erupting once more but then…
"Zola e Dypt."
A pitch black magic circle appeared under Berserker and a spiral of black flames in the shape of jet black magical chains rose from the ground, tightening around the giant body, locking each joint.
Berserker tried to struggle but failed.
"The Root of Death, Vebzud."
Black particles covered Anos' fingertips and he pierced Berserker's chest and took out his Root.
"Even if you have 12 souls and only one root, you will still die."
Berserker moved more violently and he broke free and punched Anos flying before snatching the Root from his hand and stuffing it back into his chest.
It sounded quite surreal but never mind, it's Fanfic.
The entire ground shook again as Berserker's giant body stood up, the red light around him bursting out like hellfire. The Root that had just been stuffed back into his chest immediately reintegrated with magic power, healing all the damage in just a few seconds.
Illya laughed in satisfaction. "You think you can kill Berserker that easily? It's useless."
Anos put one hand on the ground, slowly standing up. There was a bit of dirt on his clothes, but his eyes remained unchanged, calm and his gaze was fixed on Berserker.
"How interesting." he said. "This is the first time someone has been able to stuff the Root back into his body."
Berserker didn't let him continue. He roared, charging forward like a living storm, each step hitting the ground creating waves of shockwaves.
"Careful!" Shirou shouted from afar.
Saber tightened her grip on the hilt of her sword, preparing to intervene, but Anos only raised his hand slightly to signal. "No need."
Berserker swung his fist.
BOOOOM!!!
A huge column of dust rose. The ground cracked open, and grass and trees flew everywhere. But amidst the smoke, Anos's voice rang out, deep, clear, and filled with killing intent.
"You've reached your limit, Berserker."
The smoke cleared. Berserker's fist... was held in Anos's hand.
"Let's go, take him away from those two." Anos turned back to Saber.
"What?"
"I know you don't want Shirou to get hurt, so let's lure him away from here."
Saber was momentarily stunned. She looked at Anos, who was still holding Berserker's fist as if he were just a child throwing a tantrum, and nodded.
"Okay." She spun her sword, her eyes shining.
Anos looked at Berserker, the corners of her lips curling up faintly. "Let's go, big guy. If you can still distinguish enemies, then chase after me."
He let go.
Immediately, Berserker let out a mad roar and swung his fist as if to crush the sky, but Anos had already disappeared from the old place.
"Here." The voice rang out from afar.
Berserker turned his head and saw Anos standing a few dozen meters away, on a low hilltop. He was not alone.
"Come, if you have a will of iron that never fears."
"Heracles."
