The Dragon King and Queen were waiting for the two as they came out of the castle's storage area. The doors opened to the main hall, revealing the two. Lily was wrapped in a sheet as Dimitri carried her into the hall. Dimitri approached his father while staring down at the queen. "Son, what happened? Why is your mate so beaten and bruised?"
Dimitri knew the queen had done this, maybe not with her hands, but she was the last person seen with Lily. Without evidence though no one would believe him, even his father. "I will be investigating this thoroughly. That little brother of mine has a lot to answer for." Dimitri walks past eyeing the queen who refuses to meet his eye, heading to his rooms furious that incidents like this are allowed to happen, especially to his mate.
