"A second." Max mumbled and stopped. She also halted at his side because his arm was around her.
She folded her arms against her chest. He fished his phone in his pocket. She saw that it was still that girl who'd been calling him.
She sighed in annoyance and removed his arm around her shoulders. "Answer it." Her teeth gritting, she stomped away from him. She quickened her pace to not hear what anything from their call.
Patience, Aurora. You're not one to lose your cool over something like that. She reminded herself. She wasn't like this. It wasn't her time of month also, not for another two weeks. But she was annoyed as hell right now.
