CHAPTER 33
Aurora's heart pounded loudly upon hearing those. She didn't understand why she found it hard to breathe. What was happening to her? She couldn't even swallow properly, like there was a lump lodged in her throat. She even tapped her chest because of the strangeness of it. She inhaled a huge amount of air and exhaled loudly. She couldn't even smile from what she heard.
Fudge. Get a hold of yourself, Aurora. Forget what you heard. It's none of your business. She berated herself. Then she stepped out of the corner and continued her way to him.
He saw her, and he turned off his phone. He returned it to his pocket.
"Okay ka na? (Are you okay now?)" He sat properly.
"Yes." Her short reply.
Max's forehead knotted. He was worried that her mood changed again. "I'm really sorry." He apologized for maybe she was indeed angry. "I didn't mean it."
