Lumi carefully placed the yellow ball inside Luan's hand and landed on his shoulder, rubbing her head affectionately against his cheek.
Luan patted her head in turn while looking at the yellow ball in his hand. Unlike what he thought, it wasn't warm, nor was it cold. It almost felt like there was nothing in his hand; that's how light it was.
"Kian, guard me; I have something to do. Do not let anyone disturb me," Luan ordered as he sat down next to the book with his legs crossed.
Kian nodded and made some distance between himself and his lord to make sure that if anyone came here, he could stop them before they disturbed Luan's concentration. Grasping his dagger, he looked around continuously.
