One of the sheep expanded, its wool disappearing as its body morphed and stretched. Until the Subterranean Drake returned to its original form.
The massive beast hunched low, its golden reptilian eyes darting around in confusion. But the moment it laid eyes on Renjiro, It immediately shrank back.
A creature that had once been a mighty ninth-circle dragon beast now trembled like a frightened puppy.
Renjiro gazed at it indifferently.
"You are a ninth-circle drake, a creature with dragon's blood flowing through your veins. It would be a waste to leave you as a sheep." He tilted his head slightly.
"In two days, a human trade caravan will arrive in my territory. I will sell you at a high price. That way, you can still be of some use."
A pause. Renjiro's tone dropped to icy amusement.
"Of course, if you'd rather resist—" His grip tightened around the dagger. "I can simply turn you back into a sheep and sell you as meat."
