Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: A New Inquiry and Discovering Anew

Kazuma stood behind the counter of GBSC (Gunpla Battle Shop Company), a calm smirk playing on his face as Headmaster Ozpin and Professor Glynda Goodwitch made their way into the shop. The shop was bustling with activity, customers browsing the latest Gunpla kits, others engaged in fierce battles at the simulator stations. Despite the busy environment, the moment the duo stepped inside, the energy in the room shifted, all eyes instinctively turning to the authoritative figures.

Ozpin, with his characteristic cane and half-smile, scanned the store, taking in the vibrant atmosphere and the hum of the simulation machines. Goodwitch, as always, was poised and observant, her eyes sharply analyzing every detail. Kazuma could almost feel the curiosity radiating off them.

"Welcome to GBSC," Kazuma greeted with a friendly tone, stepping forward and extending his hand. "I'm Kazuma Ichigo, owner of this fine establishment. How may I help you, Headmaster Ozpin, Professor Goodwitch?"

Ozpin tilted his head slightly, his gaze shifting from Kazuma to the various displays and Gunpla kits on the shelves. "We've heard quite a bit about your shop and the impressive improvements we've seen in some of our students. They're doing well in both academics and combat performance. We've come to inquire about the source of this newfound focus and discipline."

Kazuma raised an eyebrow but smiled knowingly. "I figured this day would come eventually." He chuckled lightly. "You've noticed a change in them, haven't you? Team RWBY and JNPR, in particular. They've been training here, learning the art of Gunpla battles—the discipline and focus it requires. It's been a big part of their growth."

Professor Goodwitch adjusted her glasses, scrutinizing Kazuma. "Gunpla battles? You're saying they've been improving because of model kits and simulated battles?"

Kazuma nodded, unfazed by the skeptical tone. "Exactly. Gunpla isn't just about building models, it's about understanding strategy, precision, and teamwork. When these kids engage in Gunpla battles, they not only enhance their tactical thinking but also their cooperation skills. They've been applying what they've learned here to their academic and combat performances at Beacon."

Ozpin took a measured step forward, his eyes narrowing slightly with intrigue. "A form of training, then? But with a deeper, personal connection to their growth?"

Kazuma grinned. "You could say that. Every Gunpla they build is an extension of themselves. They design their kits, customize them, and then use them in battle, where every mistake they make becomes a lesson. It's no different from real combat—except the stakes are lower. But the lessons? Just as high."

Goodwitch, ever the skeptic, gave a small nod of understanding but wasn't entirely convinced. "Impressive as it sounds, why are you so certain that this has had such an effect on their development?"

Kazuma's smirk widened as he motioned toward the elevator behind him. "How about I show you? It's one thing to hear about it, but you'll see for yourselves what this system is capable of. I'll give you a tour of the observation area, where you can witness the results firsthand."

---

The elevator doors slid open, and the group stepped inside. Kazuma punched in the code for the observation deck, and the doors closed with a soft chime. As the elevator ascended, Ozpin and Goodwitch took in the sleek, modern design of the shop around them.

"Do you offer this kind of training to all the students?" Ozpin asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

"Of course," Kazuma replied smoothly, his voice carrying a hint of pride. "But it's mainly up to them. Not everyone is as dedicated as your students have been. Still, the challenge of Gunpla battles is open to anyone. It's a great way to build teamwork and problem-solving skills under pressure. I've got a lot of customers who come here for a more... casual experience, but the ones who take it seriously, they really start to improve."

The elevator reached to the floor, the doors opening to reveal a large room with expansive windows that overlooked the main floor of GBSC. Multiple battle stations were set up in the area, and the hum of machines filled the space. Students could be seen engrossed in fierce Gunpla matches, their movements sharp and determined.

Kazuma led the group toward a console at the far end of the room, where a screen displayed the battle stats of several ongoing matches. Team RWBY and Team JNPR were on the list, their progress and performance recorded in real-time. Kazuma gestured toward the screen. "You see? They're making strides in both their physical abilities and their strategic minds. Ruby, for example, is a natural leader when it comes to adapting in battle, while Jaune is learning to direct his team with more confidence. Each one of them has their own strengths, but they've become a lot more cohesive since they started battling here."

Ozpin nodded slowly, his eyes scanning the stats. "It's clear they've grown. There's a noticeable difference in their coordination and tactics."

Goodwitch crossed her arms, her brow furrowed in thought. "I must admit, the results speak for themselves. But how do you keep the students motivated? Surely, the novelty of building Gunpla would wear off after a while."

Kazuma laughed lightly, his gaze flicking toward the window. "Motivation isn't a problem when it's tied to something they're passionate about. Gunpla allows them to express themselves. Whether they're customizing the designs or testing out new battle strategies, they're always engaged, and the stakes are real—even if it's in a controlled environment."

He turned toward them with a grin. "In fact, why don't you two give it a try? It's a great way to understand the experience fully."

---

Kazuma moved toward the display case, his hand running over the smooth, polished surface of a few Gunpla kits. "You both seem like you could use a little downtime. I'm sure a few rounds in the simulator would give you a taste of what these students are experiencing." He picked out two kits from the shelf—one for Ozpin and one for Goodwitch—and handed them over.

"Why not buy a kit and give it a shot? It's a great way to blow off steam." Kazuma's voice was lighthearted, but there was an undeniable sincerity behind it. "I guarantee you'll have fun, and hey, maybe you'll learn a thing or two about strategy."

Ozpin's lips curled into a wry smile. "I do enjoy a good challenge. Perhaps I'll take you up on that."

Goodwitch raised an eyebrow. "You make it sound like it's more than just a hobby."

Kazuma smirked. "It's more than just a game. It's about personal growth, teamwork, and overcoming obstacles—just like what you teach at Beacon. Maybe you'll find the same joy in it as your students have."

---

As they wrapped up the tour, Ozpin and Goodwitch exchanged thoughtful glances. The Headmaster stepped forward, a small, approving smile on his face. "Kazuma, I must admit, I'm impressed. The changes in our students are more than just coincidental. Gunpla battles seem to have had a profound impact on them. I'm curious to see how they continue to develop with this unique form of training."

Goodwitch nodded in agreement. "You've provided a service that goes beyond entertainment. You've given them the tools to grow in ways we couldn't have anticipated."

Kazuma shrugged, his expression calm but satisfied. "All in a day's work. I'm just giving them a place to hone their skills. It's up to them to put the effort in."

With one final look at the battle stations, Ozpin and Goodwitch made their way to the elevator. "We'll be keeping an eye on their progress. Thank you for your time, Kazuma."

"Anytime," Kazuma replied with a grin. "You're always welcome here."

As the elevator doors closed, Kazuma stood alone in the observation area, a sense of pride swelling in his chest. Today had been another victory—not just for the students, but for the Gunpla Battle Shop Company itself. It was becoming more than just a business—it was a place of growth, a place where the future was being shaped one kit at a time.

And Kazuma couldn't have been prouder.

---

It was a few days ago when Team RWBY and JNPR gathered once again at GBSC, eager to continue their training. Kazuma had noticed something curious about their recent matches—a subtle, but noticeable shift in their performance. The way they adapted, their decisions in battle, even how they reacted to unexpected situations—all of it had become more... fluid. As if they were tapping into something deeper than just strategy or experience. But what was it?

Sitting across from Kazuma, Ariabella had been tinkering with some Gunpla kits, her thoughts a world away. It wasn't long before she turned to Kazuma with a look of realization in her eyes.

"You know, Kazuma," she began slowly, "we've been watching them train, and I think I've noticed something odd. It's subtle, but it's there."

Kazuma raised an eyebrow. "What are you getting at?"

Ariabella paused, as if weighing her words carefully. "It's their Aura. It's not just about physical training or Gunpla customization. Their Aura seems to interact with their Gunpla in some way. I think it's having an effect—boosting their abilities."

Kazuma leaned back in his chair, intrigued. "Aura… that energy field that all Huntsmen and Huntresses possess?"

"Exactly," Ariabella said, nodding. "The connection between a person and their Gunpla might not just be in their skills or design. I think their aura is allowing them to channel their semblances through the Gunpla. Maybe it's enhancing their abilities, giving them more power or precision than they would normally have."

Kazuma thought about this for a moment. Aura had always been a crucial part of a Hunter or Huntress' capabilities, but the idea that it could influence Gunpla battles was something entirely new. Kazuma's mind began to race with possibilities.

"We've seen them grow, right? They're adapting more quickly, tapping into something stronger during battle. It could be the Aura influencing their Gunpla… Their connection is getting stronger, which means more power, more potential." Kazuma looked at the battle station where Team RWBY and JNPR were practicing earlier. "But we need to figure out how to control it."

---

Kazuma and Ariabella called Team RWBY and JNPR together later that day for an impromptu training session. They had something important to test.

"You've all made significant progress lately," Kazuma started, pacing in front of them. "But there's still something I think we can push further. Something that could make a big difference in your battles—and in your connection with your Gunpla."

Team RWBY and JNPR exchanged curious glances, sensing the seriousness in his tone.

"I believe your Aura plays a key role in your development, but it's not just about controlling your semblance. It's about understanding how your Aura amplifies and interacts with your Gunpla."

Ruby raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "So, you're saying that our aura can make our Gunpla stronger?"

Kazuma nodded. "Exactly. But it's more than just boosting stats. You can use your Aura to channel your semblances, bring out special abilities, and even affect the overall performance of your Gunpla. And the first person who's going to demonstrate this is Jaune."

The others turned to Jaune, who blinked, his brow furrowing. "Me? How?"

Kazuma grinned. "We've seen the potential in your Aura—it's larger than most. It's also a bit… unpredictable. But today, we're going to figure out how to tap into it."

Jaune looked at his Gunpla, the ARC Gundam, feeling a little uncertain. It wasn't just any mobile suit—it was a reflection of his own growth, his leadership, and his potential. But there was something more that he still didn't understand about it. Something he hadn't been able to unlock.

---

Jaune stood at the Gunpla station, ready for the experiment. Kazuma had instructed him to focus on his Aura, feel its flow, and then try to connect it with the ARC Gundam. Jaune closed his eyes, breathing deeply, centering himself as he recalled everything he'd learned about his semblance—the power of protection and his ability to bolster the strength of those around him.

"Focus, Jaune," Kazuma encouraged from the sidelines. "Feel the connection. Your Gunpla is an extension of you, and your Aura will make it stronger. But remember—don't force it."

Jaune nodded, clenching his fists. His semblance was about protection—a protective aura that had helped his team countless times. But how could he make that work with his Gunpla?

He thought back to the times he'd pushed his limits. When he fought, his Aura had always been a shield for others. Maybe, just maybe, it could be the same with his Gunpla. Jaune concentrated on his Aura, visualizing it as an energy that could surround and enhance the ARC Gundam. Slowly, the Gunpla's eyes glowed faintly—and then, a surge of energy flooded Jaune's body.

Suddenly, the ARC Gundam's frame shimmered, its weapon systems glowed with energy, and its shields expanded. Jaune could feel his Aura synchronize with the mobile suit, pushing it to new limits.

He opened his eyes, surprised by what he felt. "It worked," Jaune muttered under his breath.

The ARC Gundam now stood taller, its movements more precise. Jaune felt an increased sense of clarity and power, almost as if his semblance was being channeled directly through the mobile suit.

Ariabella stepped forward, impressed. "You've unlocked a boost in your attributes. Your Gunpla's speed, defense, and attack power are all enhanced. But it's not just a power boost. You've tapped into your semblance—the more you channel your aura, the more you can control your Gunpla's special abilities."

Kazuma nodded, a proud grin on his face. "There's still room for improvement, Jaune. Your Aura is vast, but it's a lot to manage. We'll need to refine this connection, adjust the Gunpla to handle the flow of energy without overwhelming it."

Jaune gave a nod, looking down at his Gunpla. He could see how his aura was influencing the suit's performance now—but there was still a lot to learn, a lot of room to grow.

"Okay," he said, determination flooding his voice. "Let's make it better."

---

For the next few hours, Team RWBY and JNPR worked on adjusting their Gunpla's design and performance. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang each tried to focus on their own aura, seeing how it could affect their mobile suits. Each one was surprised by how their semblance seemed to boost their capabilities in different ways.

However, Jaune still felt like something was off. His Aura was powerful, yes—but it was a double-edged sword. With such a large aura capacity, his Gunpla was struggling to keep up with the sheer intensity of energy he was pouring into it. The ARC Gundam's performance was noticeably higher, but the adjustment period was still challenging. Kazuma quickly realized that they'd need to tweak the internal systems of Jaune's Gunpla to handle the surge of energy without it short-circuiting or becoming too unstable.

"Looks like we'll need to make a few adjustments," Kazuma said, jotting notes down on his clipboard. "But this is great progress, Jaune. Now you understand your semblance more clearly—and that's going to make all the difference."

---

By the end of the session, Team RWBY and JNPR had gained invaluable insight into how their aura could influence their Gunpla. They weren't just customizing their kits—they were unlocking a deeper connection between themselves and their mobile suits.

For Jaune, this was a turning point. He finally understood the true potential of his semblance—the power to protect, but also the strength to endure. He was no longer just a leader by default—he was a commander, someone who could guide his team with confidence, supported by the full might of his aura.

Kazuma watched them from the sidelines, a quiet sense of pride swelling in his chest. Gunpla had always been more than just a hobby—it was a way to shape minds, to build strength, and to forge connections. Today, they had taken a major step toward becoming true champions in their own right.
