Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35:VIOLET HOJO

After a fierce battle, Carlos, Kenji, and Fyodor faced off against Violet Hojo, one of the strongest members of the Hojo Clan. The air was heavy with tension as Violet, a master of wind techniques, unleashed a massive thunderstorm, filling the sky with roaring winds and violent lightning strikes. The battlefield turned into chaos as the three warriors struggled to counter his attacks.

Carlos clenched his fists, summoning a dark energy sphere infused with a strength spell. The sphere crackled with raw power as he launched it toward Violet, but the Hojo warrior effortlessly dodged, twisting through the air with incredible speed. Kenji and Fyodor quickly combined their abilities, fusing their water and thunder attacks into a devastating blast aimed directly at Violet. The explosion sent shockwaves rippling across the battlefield, but Violet countered by summoning a tornado to redirect the energy.

"You humans never learn," Violet sneered, his voice carrying through the storm. "Your resistance is pointless."

Carlos narrowed his eyes. "Why are you turning against humanity? What did we ever do to deserve this?"

Violet paused for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, with a flick of his hand, he sent another powerful gust of wind toward them, forcing them to leap back. "You wouldn't understand," he muttered. "The Hojo Clan has always followed its own path."

Fyodor wiped blood from his lip and stepped forward. "You're not answering the question. Why are you doing this? Why side with those who seek to destroy everything?"

For a split second, doubt flickered across Violet's face. The intensity of the battle had drained him, and for the first time, he hesitated. Memories of his past surfaced—of his training, of the orders given to him by the Hojo Clan, and of the countless lives lost in their pursuit of dominance. He had followed their will without question, believing it was the right path. But standing here, facing warriors who fought with conviction, who fought to protect their people, something inside him wavered.

Carlos took a deep breath. "You don't have to fight for them. Look around you. Is this really what you want?"

Violet clenched his fists. The storm around them began to settle as his inner turmoil deepened. He had been raised to believe that humanity was weak, undeserving of power, and yet here were three warriors pushing him to his limits. He had been told that his enemies were foolish and reckless, yet he saw something else in their eyes—determination, courage, and a sense of justice that the Hojo Clan never spoke of.

Kenji took a cautious step forward. "Violet, you're strong, but strength isn't just about power. It's about what you fight for. Right now, you're fighting for the wrong side."

The wind around them stilled. Violet looked at his hands, the same hands that had taken countless lives, and for the first time, he felt a deep sense of regret.

"You don't know what you're asking me to do," he said, his voice softer now. "Turning against my clan means betraying everything I was raised to believe in."

Fyodor nodded. "Yeah, it does. But ask yourself—do you really believe in what they're doing?"

Silence hung between them. Then, with a heavy sigh, Violet let his energy fade. The storm dissipated, the air returning to an eerie calm. He looked at Carlos, Kenji, and Fyodor, searching their faces for deception, for weakness—but found none.

"I…" Violet hesitated, then finally said, "I don't know anymore."

Carlos exchanged a glance with his teammates before stepping forward. "Then fight with us. Help us stop the Hojo Clan."

For a long moment, Violet said nothing. Then, finally, he nodded. "I'll fight with you. But if you betray my trust, I won't hesitate to end you."

Fyodor smirked. "Fair enough."

And just like that, the tides of battle shifted.

Violet Hojo, once an enemy, had joined their cause. But trust was fragile, and though Carlos and his team accepted him, the others would not be so quick to forgive. They had gained a powerful ally, but the war was far from over. The Hojo Clan would not take this betrayal lightly, and even now, stronger forces were moving in the shadows, ready to strike.

As the four warriors left the battlefield together, they knew this was only the beginning.
