Chapter 28: The Journey
Hikaru and Ojjisan stood deep in thought, trying to figure out a way to reach the alien planet. The zombie disease was spreading rapidly, and without a cure, humanity would continue to fall. Just then, they encountered a reptilian humanoid creature with sharp claws and scaly green skin. Without hesitation, Hikaru launched an Ether Blast, while Ojjisan struck it with a Thunder Bolt. The creature was knocked to the ground, groaning in pain.
Ojjisan stepped forward. "Tell us how to get to your planet!" he demanded.
The reptilian let out a series of strange growls and clicks. "Mmmmgdsgnhvcfkkn…"
Hikaru sighed in frustration. "What the hell is it saying?" He narrowed his eyes before slapping the creature across the face.
The reptilian coughed and suddenly spoke in clear English. "Wait! Stop! I can talk!"
"There you are," Hikaru muttered, crossing his arms.
The creature's body shifted, its form twisting unnaturally until it transformed into a human-like figure. Ojjisan's eyes widened. "Wait… how did you do that?"
"We reptilians can shapeshift into humans," the being explained.
"Okay, okay, that's not important right now," Hikaru interrupted. "What we need to know is how to cure the zombie disease."
The reptilian hesitated. "I… don't know."
Hikaru frowned and slapped him again. "Try again."
The reptilian gritted his teeth. "I really don't know! But I do know how to get to our planet."
Hikaru and Ojjisan exchanged a look. "Fine," Ojjisan said. "How?"
"First, you have to release me."
After a brief hesitation, Hikaru unbound the reptilian. He stretched his arms before pointing toward the distance. "There's a hidden UFO nearby. That's where the zombie virus was created and spread from. If you want answers, that's your best bet."
Hikaru narrowed his eyes. "Wait. We need a plan first. Do you really think just the two of us can invade an entire planet?"
Ojjisan nodded. "He's right. We need reinforcements."
Hikaru teleported back to the Thunder Center, where he gathered Muscle, Akito, Carlos, Aoi, and Fyodor. "We're heading to the alien planet," Hikaru announced.
Muscle cracked his knuckles. "Finally, some real action."
Akito adjusted his gloves. "Stealth is key. I'll handle the infiltrations."
Carlos grinned. "I'm in. Someone has to keep you all alive."
Aoi and Fyodor exchanged a nod. "If it's for humanity, then let's go."
However, Luna and Santino were missing from the Thunder Center, so they were left behind.
Back at the UFO site, Akito activated his invisibility ability, silently taking down every alien in the area with precision. The rest followed, killing the remaining enemies swiftly without a trace. They entered the UFO and secured their seats.
"Do you even know how to fly this thing?" Hikaru asked, eyeing the controls.
The reptilian, now revealing his name as Leon, smirked. "I've done it a hundred times." He pressed a series of buttons, and the ship began to hum to life.
Hikaru raised an eyebrow. "You're awfully cooperative for someone who was our prisoner."
Leon shrugged. "Let's just say… I don't agree with what my people are doing."
The UFO lifted off the ground and pierced through the sky, heading toward a location deep in another universe. The screen displayed their estimated travel time—20 hours.
Hikaru leaned back in his seat. "This is it… We're heading straight into enemy territory."
"How are we going to survive?" Carlos muttered.
No one had an answer. They were about to find out.
